I am so sorry for my lack of adopts as of recently as I have been having a lot of problems on top of a heavy school work load. Hopefully there will be a few adopts (if I can get to them) within the next day or so so keep an eye out!

Name: Eliot
Gender: Male
Markings: When others look at Eliot, their first glance always inspires thoughts of a simple Dogon, aspiring to live a simple life, with simple hopes and dreams, but Eliot, like most everyone, is not what they seem. You see, it all started when he was much younger, and much simpler. He lived a happy simple life with a happy simple family. He never really thought much of his markings, and nobody else did either. Well, that is except one Dogon. 'Such a simple looking Dogon, they must be very simple indeed' they teased, and soon this notion was widely accepted by his peers, and by Eliot himself. Assuming that he would never amount to anything other than a simple life, he grew ashamed of his 'lackluster' markings. As Eliot and the others grew, his peers grew bored of teasing him and moved on, but Eliot never could. He lived much of his early life in despair of never amounting to anything. Still though, he marched through life. Many years later, there was one day, just like any other, well actually not like any other, because you see, Eliot had accidently fallen asleep. He lay peacefully, cradled in the tall grass of his favorite thinking meadow. Now you may be thinking, how is this important to anything, or maybe, why the heck did Eliot fall asleep in a random meadow, or why are you talking so much get back to the story? And, while I may not have the answer to why he fell asleep in that meadow, I can tell you that this is very important to the story. You see, in that meadow, every night there was a natural phenomenon that happened, so late that Eliot had never stayed thinking long enough to see it. And as Eliot opens his eyes, bleary and foggy from his impromptu nap, he experienced something that he never thought possible. A thousand stars float through the tall grass now and then lighting down upon one of the blades. Eliot gaped in amazement as one drifted towards him, lazily landing on his nose. Now he realized that these were not in fact stars, but brilliant lightening bugs. He was staring at these wonders of nature with a sleepy contentment when he was struck with a sudden realization. See, this meadow was not his thinking meadow for no reason at all, it was his thinking meadow because he always had the most profound, amazing ideas while he sat in it. And while he sat in it that night, watching those lightening bugs crawl upon his fur, he really did come to a profound, amazing conclusion. He, him, Eliot, simple, old Eliot, was amazing. To you though, this might not seem like much of a conclusion, but to Eliot, this was preposterous. But it was true. Now, his life was not magically fixed, but to him it did take on a much brighter outlook. No longer did he march along his life resigned to be nothing special, he now had aspirations to reach, and things to do. You see, when others look at Eliot, their first glance always inspires thoughts of a simple Dogon, aspiring to live a simple life, with simple hopes and dreams, and at one time this might have been true, but Eliot is amazing, in his own way and he will aspire to be something even more extraordinary than you could ever judge by simply looking at him. Now, whenever he feels hopeless, he looks at his marking and is reminded of that night with the fireflies, and knows that people cannot be judged on what is on the outside, and, even if it takes a life time, you will shine~
