Fav Character: My favourite book character is Nico DiAngelo from Percy Jackson. Percy Jackson is the first book series I ever fell in love with, and Nico was always in my heart. From the minute he showed up with his myth magic cards, to the minute he started dating Will Solace, he's always been my favourite. Let's takes a minute to realize all he has been through and he's only 14. He's been to tartarus alone and made it out alive, and heck, even Percy and Annabeth barely made it out together. Fav Character: Dusty Riley, from The Snow Pony written by Alison Lester. I like her because when her dad brought the Snow Pony down from the plains with the cattle she was determined to make the Snow Pony hers and not anyone else. Dusty did that eventually because she was the only one that the Snow Pony trusted. (By the way Snow Pony is the name of the horse). When Dusty goes to secondary school her BFF goes to boarding school so Dusty is left all alone, and she is bullied and us really lonely. At the end Dusty and her new friend Jade have to ride out to Smokey Plain, to get help since her dad bruised his hips and I think he also broke his leg. Dusty almost lost the Snow Pony when she and Jade encounter Brumbies. I don't want to say anymore about it because it probably is a book that you might want to read if you are absolutely horse made like I am.

Fav Character: my favorite fictional character would probably have to be Black Widow /
Natasha Romanoff from the Marvel Cinematic Universe. For me, she's always been
a major source of inspiration because she has no powers (in the movies at least) and yet,
like Hawkeye (another one of my favorites) she manages to stay on par with the other
Avengers. Heck, she's on the same team as a god and a chemically enhanced soldier!

I also really love her backstory and think it's by far one of the most interesting in
the MCU. Even if it's only ever hinted at, since I haven't seen one movie where they
outright tell everything that happened to her, it's pretty easy to work the pieces together.
I love how even though she has a dark past, she manages to look beyond it and refuses to
let it change how she thinks or acts. She wasn't always a good person, but she's working
past it and struggling not to live up to what she was supposed to be. She's gone through
so much in her life and really just deserves to settle down somewhere and enjoy the rest of life.
Though of course that would mean she can't be in any more movies and I'm still
waiting for a Black Widow one still hoping she'll be in quite a few more.

I really love how Natasha's been around in the MCU for a little while, and how we can sort of watch her evolve right from Iron Man 2. Although she wasn't in that one much, she immediately showed us how competent she is.
I think her portrayal in the Avengers was one of my favorites. Her personality was perfect, making
her capable and realistic, instead of overpowered. I really enjoy gauging her reactions to
what other characters say and do, since she's so unique from all the others in what she says
and does. Her friendship with Clint was really cute and I liked seeing a completely platonic
male-female friendship. In the second Avengers, I didn't like her portrayal quite as much, but
I'm really not complaining. The only thing I didn't really like was how sudden her relationship with
Bruce was. I would've really liked it of they had showed the two of them getting close and
falling in love over time. Another one of my favorites films she's in though is the Winter Soldier. I think
most of the MCU fan base really enjoyed that one cx she was a round, well-worked character that
had her soft moments and her cold-hearted moments, her moments when she fought bravely
and her moments when she needed to take a break for a little bit. She even opened up to Steve.
Their relationship was fun to watch and follow along with, although I don't ship her with Steve like
a lot of people do. plus her haircut in that film was pretty adorable am I right

All in all, she's just a very meaningful character to me. As for ship-wise, the only person I can
say I would pair her with is Bucky Barnes. (Who I also adore but didn't make this form). Mainly
because of the life experience they've had and shared, especially if you read the 2014
Black Widow comics. But Natasha has always been my favorite MCU superhero
and I'm going to continue loving her for a long time.

I am a huge sucker for the Firefly series after being introduced to it by a friend, so apologies, but I just had to pick Mal.

Captain Malcolm 'Mal' Reynolds is my favorite movie character because he is a hero, yet totally the opposite of a hero. He is loyal yet will not hesitate to leave someone behind if it will better the chances of survival for everyone else. He holds fiercely true to his beliefs, even when all hope seems lost he manages to keep a level head. He has an odd sense of humor but it is there hidden. He is known as being a bad**s captain of the Serenity and yet also has a softer side which is occasionally seen throughout the series and in the movie.

I am sorry, I let my nerd out.

Fav Character: Princess Amaranthine from Of Fire and Starts by Audrey Coulthurst

Known primarily as Mare throughout the book, Princess Amaranthine is the eldest in the royal family of Mynaria but she will not succeed due to preference to a male heir. Because of this, she very much marches to the beat of her own drum. Mare is known for being unconventional and uncaring of tradition.
Though she's aloof upon first meeting, Mare is a dedicated horsewoman and is highly regarded for her work in the royal stables. Mynaria is known for breeding excellent war horses and most of her focus is dedicated to training and spending time in the barn with them. She is often chastised throughout the book for her unladylike and dirty appearance, her boorish conversations, and her developed apathy for anything to do with ruling the kingdom or tradition. The only two people who understand her are her uncle and Princess Dennaleia who is her brother's betrothed. Her uncle is killed early on and her drive to solve his death pushes her dangerously close to Denna with both good and bad consequences.
The reason why Mare is my favourite is because other than being a redheaded princess, she is basically me in a book form. She spends all day in the barn, clad in breeches, and could care less about any social interactions or marital matches her family makes for her. When she's not in good mood, she is visibly disgruntled with everyone involved, has a razor sharp wit and sarcasm, and avoids all human contact and stays with her chestnut gelding Flicker. Like her, I also find horses are the only ones who truly understand me and the games many people play seem to be far beyond my interest and comprehension. Plus, she can't fight to save her life.
Her care for the Mynarian horses and Denna is one I hope to keep someday with someone. Though she is distant to Denna at first, she cares and supports her throughout the book and does whatever she can to make sure they can be together, even when it seems like the world is against them. For those who like horses and fxf romance, it's a wonderful YA book that is relatable to anyone dealing with horses and love.
