How did they meet their pet/companion?:
It was one of those days when you knew it was the perfect day. It was slightly sunny, but not hot, with a light breeze. Jordan stepped outside with a smile. He loved he outdoors, especially on days like this. He took in the sights. On the left, the flower bed he'd tried to plant himself. It wasn't doing to well. Even if he loved flowers, he couldn't grow them. In front of him was his treehouse. He'd built it himself- his family hadn't bothered to help him. The paint was worn and peeling and it was only ten feet off the ground. Then, to the right was a green hammock, the perfect size for Jordan. Jordan sighed, moving towards the hammock with his book in hand. It would be the most relaxing day yet. Jordan settled into the hammock and began to read his book. It was a nature book as always, about the most dangerous reptiles. The book freaked Jordan out, but he still read it anyways. When he saw a picture of a huge venomous snake he closed the book. He'd always been scared of snakes. Lizards, geckos, turtles- anything but snakes. Jordan gulped, fear consuming his mind. What if a snake comes an eats me? No- they don't live here. Right? Maybe we just haven't found them here yet! Jordan picked flowers by the hammock nervously. He weaved them into a flower crown. It was just what he'd do whenever he got nervous. Jordan placed the crown on his head when he was done and began to read the book, his heart pounding. The black mamba- a venomous snake native to Africa. It's brown to black in color. Suddenly something landed on his face. It was brown. It was small. A baby black mamba! Jordan shrieked and leapt up, screaming. "It's gonna kill me, it's-" Jordan sighed shakily. It was just a lizard, an anole. It wasn't even harmful. Jordan picked up the small creature and watched it as it crawled up his arms. Jordan giggled, "That tickles! I'm gonna name you Tickles." He smiled, and brought the lizard in to show his family. They've been the best of friends since.
