RAFFLE RESULTS

Hello and welcome to the first ever Kalon Adopts Development Event!

This event will feature writing and art driven prompts and exercises designed to help you discover
your Kalon characters. It will begin on April 2nd and end on April 18th, running a total of two weeks.
During this time three fun workshops will be held, each aimed at different aspects of development.


Workshop #1 — Personality
▸ Date: April 2nd to April 6th

• Questions and prompts will be asked to help discern the personality of your Kalon(s)
  and flesh out their character(s).

Workshop #2 — World Building
▸ Date: April 7th to April 11th

• Here you will delve into the world and history of your Kalon(s), discovering everything
  from the society they live in to how they got there.

Workshop #3 — Relationships
▸ Date: April 13th to April 18th

• This workshop is aimed at developing or finding relationships, as well as working out
  your Kalon(s) family trees.

By completing the exercises within each workshop you'll earn tickets for a raffle. There will be
three raffles altogether, one on the last day of each workshop. The prizes will include things
such as Edit Items, Art, and more. The amount of tickets you receive will be dependent on the
amount of work you complete.

There will also be a chance each workshop to also earn Edit Item Vouchers to cash in for an
Item of your choice!

Special Notice:

During the length of the event, Kalon Staff will be taking a hiatus.
For two weeks from April 2nd to April 16th, we will not be accepting any new work.

This means no new adopts will be put out, no nursery slots can be opened, and customs won't be accepted.

However, any work promised prior to the start date will continue to be worked on and finished.
We just won't be taking on any new projects until the end of the event.

We appreciate you allowing us this time to take a short and well deserved break.
Regular staff activity will be returned on April 16th. Thank you <3

• Color-ins, bases, and the like are allowed for art based prompts but you

At the end of each workshop there will be a raffle for fun prizes!
Entry into these raffles depends on your participation.

Full Participation = 6 Tickets + 1 Item Voucher
This means that you did every exercise and answer one workshop prompt (writing or art).

Half Participation = 3 Tickets
This means that you did at least 2 exercises and answer one workshop prompt (writing or art).

Initial Participation = 1 Tickets
This means that you did at least 1 exercises OR answer one workshop prompt (writing or art).

Note: If you do both the Writing AND Art Workshop Prompts
you will earn an item voucher to exchange at the antique shop
for an item of your choice!

Walking down the cobblestone streets of 52nd Street, there is a small little shop situated
just on the corner. It's old and crumbling, probably won't last the next decade from the
failing structure, and yet the outside seems to have a fresh coat of yellow paint on its trim.
The windows are spotless to allow prying eyes to gaze upon the strange old artifacts found
inside. A sign hangs carefully over the doorway reading "Piper's Antiques and Collectibles"
in dainty wooden letters. As the door swings open, a small bell's melodious tone echos
around the many shelves of old dusty items. From the back of the shop emerges a kalon,
the lone shopkeeper.

Here you can view the items that are available for purchase with Item
Vouchers. If you have a voucher that you wish to redeem for an item below,

We seek to make this event all inclusive, which means non owners may participate too!

You can follow along with the workshops by developing a character for one of the kits above.
At the end of the event, staff will judge each entrant and choose a winner who will then receive
this kit to own and further their character!

There may also be "Runner Ups" in the form of other already created Kalons, so more non
owner smight have a chance to win their very first Kalon!

By doing the workshops with this character, you are also eligible for the fun prizes available.

Q. When does the event start? What timezone is it going off?

A. The event will officially begin April 2nd at 11:59 PM EST. The timezone for this event will be
Eastern Standard Time.


Q. Why is staff going on a hiatus?

A. It's been agreed upon by staff that we would like a small time to cool down and catch up
on some things. Everything with Kalons has been incredibly fast lately. We appreciate your
understanding of our small break. <3


Q. If I am a non owner and I get a Kalon during the event, can I still get the kit?

A. Yep! If you receive a Kalon while this event is going you can still try out for one of the kits
in the Non Owner section. Remember, winning is based on your development.


Q. Can I develop more than one Kalon?

A. You sure can, in fact you can use as many characters as you'd like. It will all end in the
same tickets and vouchers awards though no matter how many characters you use.


Q. Is there a word limit for the exercises and prompts?

A. Nope! You can write as little or as much as you want.


Q. Can I make a thread as my hub for all workshops and post my prompts/exercises there?

A. Yes you may. However, you are required to link back to it in a new form for each
daily exercise that becomes available.


Q. I already drew an image similar to the prompt, can I reuse it here?

A. No, all work done must be new work, as the point of the event is about development.
There's always new ways to do show off something you've done before!


Q. In what ways can I earn Item Vouchers?

A. There are three ways every workshop to earn a Voucher.


#1 - Do the Writing AND the Art Prompt (nothing else) = 1 Voucher

#2 - Do Day 1, 2, 3, and 4 Exercises AND the Writing OR Art Prompt = 1 Voucher

If you do every exercise and both prompts you'll earn both vouchers.

#3 - There will be one daily exercise that is judged where the winners earn 1 Voucher.


Q. When do we get the item vouchers after completing the tasks?

A. All vouchers will be awarded at the end of the workshop when I go through and verify.
You will see your vouchers under your name on this list here when it's verified!


Q. What happens if we don't get a reply on our Antique Shop order?

A. Send it again!
