Second Chance Shelter is a dog and cat rescue where you can come to find a new member of your family. We rescue and rehabilitate dogs and cats of all shapes and sizes so they may have the chance to be placed into a caring home. All of our animals are special and deserve a chance to be happy with an owner that will care for them. The question is: are you ready to love them?

Like her name sake, Autumn loves autumn as a season for many reasons. The she cat will spend forever in a day watching the leaves fall to the ground. The crackling of the leaves underfoot just make this she cat smile. The warm nights by the fire, the shorter days and the excitement of Halloween. Autumn and winter are the only times when the fire is on and Autumn just loves watching the flames dance and the homely glow and heat it gives off, but why autumn rather than winter? Well, winter is a lot more frostier than autumn, up in the mountains, so she prefers this season because it is slightly warmer. Why shorter days? Shorter days mean more sleep, which this female loves to do. Halloween is the time for cats, Autumn loves playing the part of a witches cat and loves getting all the treats - cat treats of course! The colours and the fauna remind her of her kit hood and the freedom to do whatever a kit can do. When she was a kit she used to run merrily through the fiery coloured leaves.

Story:

Arrival day! The she cat had arrived at her new home. Autumn was placed in a warm, homely scented room. The walls decorated in warm auburns, creams and golds, with a high ceilings and a stunning crystal chandelier. The room seemed endless. Noticing a new scent, the auburn female turned to see a young golden haired girl offering her a toy. She pounced at the stuffed cotton mouse, and rolled around like a kit.
