Mmmm I've been interested in kalons I think since January?? But I didn't tryout until a little more recently, Here's the first one I tried for (boop) but i entered for a second one on the same day an hour-ish later, I don't think I can count me marking the page can I? That was also March seventh x'D

Have you thought up any Kalon character concepts? Tell me about your favorite idea!

In all honesty, i have many concepts, all so far fitting into the same world i have built that i would very much love to put as many of my kalons in as possible, and one day expand to the community to take part in if they feel inclined to do so, even so much so that rp's and AU's could be based around said world.

My brain thinks of a ton of characters as i go, based on the characters i created prior and how i can fit them into my kalon universe.

I have two I will use for if I ever get my hands on custom tickets (one being uncommon and under, the other being rare and under T-T my expensive smols), they have designs, pallets, names, backstories, and personalities laid out in basics that will be expanded when i get the chance to legitimately introduce them into the community.

A third concept is already entered in a competition, I'm waiting for the results to tell me whether I need to search for a design that will suit the concept or just add it to the list of customs I'll probably have to save up for to purchase myself, since i have the idea outwardly discussed and i dont really want it to be a custom, i can honestly say, its probably my most DEVELOPED of my main three ideas.

The character's name is David, specifically for the purpose of the old testament story of David and Uriah. David is extremely complicated, and i am not exactly sure where to begin or end with all i have for him, but let me try to explain. ^^'

David was raised in a tribe called the "Tribe of Complexity" a place, that is often looked down upon, the youngest of the surrounding tribes, and the one that contains the most negative feed back and rumors spread through the other tribes. The tribe is run like that of a concealed distopia. (based a little off the story of 1984, but the people are more leaned towards that of the story of one of the cities in Avatar: The Last Air Bender , in which the people don't see anything wrong with how they are living and have a little more freedom.)

Now David's role in all this is.... how do i put it simply?

He is apart of a competition to become the "heir" of their esteemed leader(who's really just a puppet figure, with the elders pulling the strings), taken at birth, said to be a still born, and raised in the confinement of the government who claims to have "rescued" him when they "took pity" on him, an "orphan". There's many reasons as to how he found out the truth to his beginning, one of the few to ever discover the truth of their government, and the only one to ever live to tell the tale if he so chose to.

He was always the smartest of the twelve kits who have the exact same story as him, always questioning everything, and ending himself in trouble. He goes against rules and does tons of things to find loop holes and discover unspoken rules. He's rebellious and distrusting, the most watched of his peers, but also the one who knows the most. He is protective, and would never wish anyone to possess the knowledge he does at such a young age. He keeps to himself all that he discovers, and covers up his tracks often with making everything seem like a joke and just fun play time.

When David turned thirteen, he snuck out of the government estate on multiple occasions, and ended up finding his biological family. Which he now regrets, because he brought them into his problems, and got them all killed since the government was terrified of a rebellion arising from the people. They did not kill David, since he was still in the running to become the heir, and they just made it clear he would never be chosen and would be killed upon someone being chosen. But David defied them by removing all his competition, including his best friend, Uriah, convincing himself that their deaths would free them from the puppeteers who had controlled them since birth, and promising to avenge every one of their deaths and his family's death when he became the esteemed leader. David is, in fact, insane if it wasnt clear enough, he is merciless when it comes to the elders, whom he does not kill, but rather forces to live a horrible life of both physical and mental trauma and pain. ^^'

He becomes the first esteemed leader in over four hundred years to actually take charge and control the rules and regulations of his people. He is good to his people, fair in his say if dispute among them occur, but he has no intention to ever trust or believe the elders, keeping them and all their families locked inside the estate to die off and rot and never be spoken of again, assuring that there would never be an elder court again.

I first marked the original adopt thread about a year ago, and tried out for my first kalon, #89, soon after that.

I'd love to see kalons inspired by different mythologies/cultures! Mythology has been one of my favorite things to learn about for as long as I can remember, and there are so many stories, beings, and creatures to draw inspiration from! There could be a partner contest with two kalons based on the Seelie and Unseelie faerie courts from Scottish mythology, for example.
I'd love to have a kalon whose day job was something completely ordinary and benign- a grocer, florist, librarian, etc.-, but who also worked for a crime family. I also love the idea of a kalon who can see ghosts and who tries to put them at rest.

How long have you been trying to get a Kalon? I've tried out for a couple. My oldest one is from November of 2016...however my more recent one is better.
Have you thought up any Kalon character concepts? Yes, I have. My favorite idea was about this character who watched a family member of his die while his house burned down. He is kinda quiet and untrusting due to those who made him believe everything was in his head. He learned way, way, way later that his family member never died, but he wasn't really seeing things either. (This story is now being used for a different character that I am designing)

Not too long, as I wasn't really active last year unfortunately and I never won any adoptable in the past so I was mostly too shy to enter anyways ^^'
But I nearly entered every time since I saw the cupkits!

I don't really know what a character concept is but I'll try my best thought ;-;
Probably a Kalon which always got misunderstood and suppressed in his/her childhood for being differend and for having another behaviour, spending most of the time outside exploring the nature and reading a lot of books. The Kalon's extreme shyness against others didnt helped with that - it was never able to make real friends or to explain her/-his self. But one day the Kalon's parents died and since that day, the Kalon was able to realise that there are more important things than to get accepted. The Kalon had the feeling that his parents remained in the wind and the nature which he always loved, already as a little child. The Kalon lost its shyness and wanted to let others take part of the warming feeling of the nature. It wasn't ignored neither misunderstood anymore, because now it was able to show the others why he loved books and nature so much. The Kalon was from now on one of the most warm hearted Kalon's around, made a lot of friends and spread kindness everywhere, just like it's parent once did for him/her.

I have thought of a few, but my favorite one is easier to explain than others. The character concept is of a ruler. They are very snobby and selfish. They tax the citizens to the point where a citizen is one cent off they would be exiled. They have no mercy anywhere from their home to the battlefield.
