Second Chance Shelter is a dog and cat rescue where you can come to find a new member of your family. We rescue and rehabilitate dogs and cats of all shapes and sizes so they may have the chance to be placed into a caring home. All of our animals are special and deserve a chance to be happy with an owner that will care for them. The question is: are you ready to love them?

Being stuck up is what this guy does the best. It's his way or the highway as others would say. He views himself as royalty and is stubborn when someone will not do as he says. Though he will be affectionate to a select few but, that's only if they are also royalty. He loves giving orders to anyone that will listen; sometimes he gives them when they aren't listening at all. He can be a bit selfish as he wants anything and everything.

history
This little king came from a professional breeder; though he got lose one day. Getting himself lost on the street, his breeders where never able to find him. So he made himself a home in a ditch that no one really ever went too. Soon other cats wandered to where he made his home. They made him their leader do to how long he had been there. Not long after he let them make him a crown and call him their king. They of course listened as they believed he was wise and was the right thing to do. One day as they held their daily meeting the shelter came in due to a call about how many cats where there. They caught as many as they could before heading back to the shelter. Nile was one of those cats along with his pal here. Now he did and waits to be taken to his new kingdom.

Personality: Icen's personality is quite complex. You see, Icen gets jealous very easily and very often and even though he never admits it, he's a know-it-all... About the name
Kashmir was named after a Led Zeppelin song, not so much
because she appreciates great rock songs but because the song
sounds so rich and the word has such a decadence to it that
the name just seemed to fit her. Incidentally, Kashmir loves
the sensation of pelt and soft fabric on her skin. Her favorite
place to sleep is on a sheepskin rug, curled up and toying with it
while she sleeps.

Personality:

Kashmir often seems like the kind of cat you would't want to be around; she's moody, arrogant and seemingly impossible to please. She will demand attention passionately only to turn away coldly the minute one wants to spend time with her. She is known to act out of spite against other cats or hold in grudges forever only to start drama at a later date. There is however an interesting depth to her behavior and in some ways Kashmir is a bit of a misunderstood character.
She is, in fact, quite introverted and often doesn't know how to behave around other cats or people because she greatly values her alone time. At the same time however, Kashmir also loves to be the center of someones attention. While she likes to boss others around in order to gain a powerful position she feels more comfortable in, Kashmir wants to feel cared for and safe and in no way adheres to the classic image of the independently arrogant loner. It's this conflict that makes her behave in ways that seem impulsive and often contradictory. Being somewhat of a drama queen, Kashmir has learned to get what she wants through the means of intrigue and watery green eyes without ever showing too much of herself.

Kashmir & Maxwell
Maxwell and Kashmir get along extraordinarily well; since Maxwell is a people pleaser and knows how to push Kashmir's buttons she rarely diva's out around him. He knows how to handle her moods and understands the way she ticks. Maxwell often calms down conflicts between Kashmir and Seraphim, not realizing that he's usually at the core of said conflicts.
Kashmir admires Maxwell's people skills and finds herself trying to impress him if possible.

Kashmir & Seraphim
Seraphim and Kashmir have a cold war going on. They are both loners of a sort, but also polar opposites; while Seraphim prefers to be distanced and rational most of the time and has a pragmatic mindset as well as the ability to do just fine on his own, Kashmir is highly emotionally driven and deep down wants to be the center of attention. Add to this the fact that they're both sort of attracted to Maxwell and you have Game of Thrones level court intrigue. Either of them will only ever attack the other verbally or through cunning (and only if Maxwell isn't there to witness) but when they do; the salt is extreme.

Kashmir & Galahad
Galahad was still a tiny puppy when Kashmir joined the family and now that he's a youngster, she still doesn't take him seriously. Kashmir is the kind of cat to believe in cat over dog superiority and at times, she enjoys showing this to Galahad. She does it in a mild way though, somehow Kashmir has a soft spot for Galahad's' alert and idealistic nature - she likes to think of herself as a distanced but warm parental figure to Galahad.
