★ What is a Celestial Dragon? ★
Celestial Dragons(CDs) are a small breed of dragon, closely related to Fu Dogs. They have a silky, ethereal mane that swirls and shines like a galaxy. They are typically the size of a fox, and are covered in a thin coat of soft fur. Their pupils are star shaped, and every CD has a star marking in their coat or mane. Please make sure to read the species rules before trying out!

This dragon carries a lantern full of fireflies wherever they go! Your prompt is explaining why they do that! You can do that with writing or art!

Hotaru resides in a thick, twisting woodland forest, one that which is often dark due to how close the trees grow near each other. Dubbed the “Fairy Forest” for how mythical it feels, as well as for the tales told in the towns near such a place. Tales told of a large creature of gentle nature, which guides travelers who often get lost in such a place. They say he is nothing to be afraid of; the beast wishes only to assist them and keep them safe.

Hotaru wanders about the forest, his home, keeping watch on the wildlife there as well as keeping an eye out for passerby. Those who have personally met him say he wishes for no pictures to be taken of him; keeping his visual identity a secret, but not his tale. Although he seems distant for wishing for this, he really is understanding and friendly. Hotaru tries his best to come off that way to travelers, being hospitable and caring towards them. The firefly cloud following him also project his feelings; becoming more active the more energetic or cheerful he is, and slowing down or even disappearing if he feels disappointed or sad. They help the travelers tell whether or not he likes them.

lantern purpose;
gwenith is a guardian of sorts, deeply connected to the rosy maple moths
that live in her forest. when the moths come to lay their eggs, gwenith
uses her lantern to attract the moths and guide them to the save haven she's
made for them. this safe place she's created is covered with thick foliage
and decorated with fauna meant to hide the moths and their young while
they're here. when the moths are ready to leave again, she guides them back
out to the Great Plum Tree, and watches them leave back the way they came.

while gwenith has no magical properties or abilities herself, the forest is rich
with raw magical energy that creates what is basically a well of magic. moths
who choose to lay their eggs in gwenith's forest dont die while they are there,
and the place where the eggs have been laid is protected by a special barrier
that only gwenith and permitted individuals can enter. she takes care of them
until they are ready, and once they are ready to leave to join the others, she
leads them out to the Great Tree like she did their parents.

and leads the tourists through old tunnel
caverns. Though her job can be harsh and
dangerous at times she tends to keep a
smile on. The tourists just love her
bubbling personality and her "striking
good looks." The fireflies are sometimes
set loose, dancing around while Salem
leads the way. The lantern also attracts
fish to the surface in the ponds in the
caverns, so if there's any tourists that
like to fish that's the perfect opportunity.

Sunday smiled warmly at the question, setting her lantern aside before speaking with a voice as comforting as the sun itself, "I like the fireflies," she began, "Because they symbolize the beauty in the dark. Everyone looks to stars, correct? They are the symbols of hope to some; however, fireflies are so... alive, you know? They have life within them, and I believe a light with life and experience is a much better symbol for hope," she smiled again before standing and picking up her lantern once more. Dipping her head in a respectful goodbye, she turned and walked once more to light the dark world with hope.
