Emma is the motherly type, always looking out for others and making sure they're safe; however, she also has a very rough exterior. Emma has a no-nonsense attitude, and won't settle for anything without a fight. She can be a bit harsh, but she is always truthful. Life taught her to grow up quickly, yet it left her cynical and bitter.

"Oh, Ava..?" Emma sighed, remembering when they had first met. The two had been orphaned kits from different families, lost and wandering, and had just happened to be taken in by the same couple. The couple hadn't been very kind, however, and Emma had soon taken to trying to raise Ava - the younger of the two - herself. Through their many trials, however, their was a glitch, and Ava started to drift, "We used to be really close. I practically raised her, but our... parents," she snarled at the word, hating it, "They were sort of manipulative. They knew how to pull strings, and they knew that Ava's talents would bring in more money than my own," she paused, "Oh-! Yes, Ava is an architect. I'm a musician. Anyhow, they saw that in us early on, and the only reason I had been taken in as well was because she wouldn't leave my side. We may not be blood related, but we're - well, we were - pretty close. Now our relationship is pretty rocky. She's mad that I would be so disloyal to our quote on quote "parents" and she's upset that I ended up leaving. She doesn't believe me when I say I actually really care for her. I'm still working at it, though - I want her back. I miss our closeness. We were best friends, but we were really family. Growing up with such a similar story really brought us close, and it's weird to see how different the outcomes of this all was," Emma sighed, "I miss her. I just wish she would come back... writing just isn't enough, you know?" she shook her head, "I suppose if you wanted me to sum up the flaws in our relationship, it would be that we both came from different backgrounds that give us vastly different perspectives. That, and she continues trusting people that only take care of her because they want money... She's too naïve, and she won't listen. Those are the major faults,"

how they make it work
"how do we make it work? well- allora make's things very difficult..."
the thing is- to most people it seems like they completely despise the
other. when one sees the other, they turn the other way, mumbling an
noyed. being from different kingdoms and all already has it's awkward
tension, but ever sincemacy's kingdom encountered a major flood, an
d had to stay at allora's, the twohaven't been the most cooperative. m
acy finds she doesn't owe anything to allora or her family, but allora fi
nds they did macy a favor, and expect a little something in return. to t
he blind eye, they for sure seem like they would kill the other for a pen
ny. but the truth is, ever since this event, they've been crushing on the
other, but they'll go down with that secret. all in all, they can't stand ea
ch other, even if they are feeling this strange feelings. allora still blame
s macy and her kingdom for the death of her mother, and macy denies
it harshly. allora keeps beating a dead horse by holding a grudge, and
macy is beating her own dead horse by constantly complaining about a
llora's grudge. they'd go mad without the other, but they're already mad.

personality
macy is different. on one hand, she's in your face, loves to gloat, and never let you live anything down. on the other, she's insecure, hopelessly romantic, and very paranoid. at first glance, she seems like one of those spoiled kids who adore attention. she's very layered, and only if you were really close to her, could you see them all. she's flaky, skeptical, and very sensitive. she can seem like the total brat, nagging you, but she can also be very supporting and quiet. she's got her head in the clouds, naive and oblivious to others problems. she doesn't care nor understand why people are different. she's a blabbermouth most of the time, laughing and ranting. she loves to spill all of her gossip, and doesn't hold back insults to people she dislikes. she's got a big mouth, and has said things to get her in trouble. she's the apple to every mans eye, wearing expensive clothing and make-up, but most people can't stand to be around her for more than a few hours at most. she's flirty and manipulative, but only with strangers. overall- she's mysterious and confusing you'd be better off steering clear of her.

april second, 1812 ==
today is the first day staying at allora's castle, and the rooms smells. the walls are painted an ugly grey with a subtle pattern, and it makes me dizzy. allora's rooms is a whole hall away, and i'm relieved. my parents are staying in a nicer room, of which i'm jealous.if i'm the princess, shouldn't i at least get something other than a closet and a bed. we had dinner about an hour or so ago, and it was pleasant, i suppose. we had chicken with a spring-union sauce which was quite good. although, our chef at home makes better food. allora was quiet until her father mentioned her wonderful new garden, and allora had to mention every new flower. very boring, but i was polite and listened. i could hear the family dogs the whole supper, and i was so tempted to just scream for them to be quiet, but i didn't. the dinner food was reasonable- my favorite dish was the desert. i must say, the bread pudding here is quite lovely.

dinner ended rather early, a few horse rides before sunset. i, in fact, was ready to just go back to my room, and take a nap, but allora challenged me to a croquet duel. this, i was excited for. i was the atutopia champion back home, and when i was very little, i'dm always get this rather pricy gear, just for one game. i had never played against allora, so this would be new. but by the way she confidently requested the duel, i knew i must be up against something. we walked out to the large royal garden, the lovely birds resting in every tree.

the game lasted about as long as dinner would be cooked, and i must say, allora's good. but i'm better. i won not too easily, but i won.
oh, did it feel so good to win against the posh princess of medals. i, the princess of atutopia beat allora in a game of croquet, and you could imagine i didn't let her live it down.

personality ::
In some cultures, water lilies symbolize modesty, grace, peace, and purity.
Minthe, however, is a stark contrast to that.
She's a strong, tough woman who has dedicated her life to protecting nature from those who would harm it. She hates littering and wastefulness, and gets angry if someone squishes an insect near her-- particularly if it's a beetle, moth, or bee, which are some of her favorites! She loves the water, and can often be found in or near it. Minthe is an expert on the healing properties of plants from all over the world, and uses this knowledge to treat any injured animals she comes across. But to strangers, she is antisocial, hostile and aggressive-- you definitely do not want to get on her bad side, because her bite is much worse than her bark! She's extremely protective of Medusa and is unwilling to let anyone near her, due to her distrust of others. She even prefers to be active at night, when she's less likely to encounter anyone. To Medusa, however, Minthe is much softer, understanding, and compassionate, even tender at times. Medusa is her sole companion, and the only one who has ever seen her gentler side.

how they make it work:: Dear diary, Sakaia just left with a note... Well more like a page from her own diary, Is she seriously breaking up the Flora sisters? We are not real sisters but we agreed on that name! So its not like i have being mean to her but she read one of my previous Diary entries! I Was different back then and she grew to me enough. I need to apologize to Sakaia before she goes back to the Peasant side, which i think she said had Burnt down, I feel bad for her. I'm coming to find her Be right back. Back! Anyways, I just showed Sakaia a beautiful field filled with her favorite plants, donkey tails. I always thought them to be a Peasant plant that just ended up on the richer side of the forest but in her eyes, it is the prettiest plant ever... Ok I admit it is pretty but at least she's calm, now I promised to be less... you know demanding, and I already apologized, so bye bye diary! I'm signing off for now!

Suiren is a fairly outgoing kalon, she tries to see every situation as a new chance for adventure. In many ways, she's tempted to drop everything and see the world, but her strong sense of duty and sentimentality towards the friends and family she has where she lives, not to mention her lovely bettas and plants! She loves her bettas and plants like they're her children, there are pots and tanks all over her apartment! (Along with a bit of a mess since she tends to hang on to everything with even a slight bit of a fond memory or sentimental in nature -- spring cleaning is a blessing with helping her clear out the clutter of these small items that build up over time)

Suiren works as a bartender for a nearby club, it's not the best job, but it pays the bills and helps keep her babies (bettas and plants) healthy. In regard to her bettas, Suiren is addicted to going to an aquatic pet shop near her apartment -- not quite a help to her growing collection of betta fish! Suiren just loves the place! It has a nice ambiance, and the kalon who runs is just the sweetest!

We talk it out. If there's something that is the matter, we'll eventually bring it to the other's attention. Our main issue is that I'm usually working and Saria has a lot of panic attacks, and sometimes I'm not there for her like I should be. I regret this deeply. If I can't be there or if she's had a few without telling me, I understand and then we spend the next day doing fun stuff. Lots of cuddles, movies, and ice cream! It's not a perfect solution, but it works for us.

...You know how in romance movies they always seem to show the person knowing when they see “the one!” I never believed any of that until I met her.
...It was a day like any other and I was tending to my bettas when I noticed ads for a new aquatic pet shop going in down the street. I figured since it was my day off, I’d check out the merchandise, see what they carry, maybe pick up another betta.
...I checked myself in the mirror and put part of my hair in a bun before walking to the shop. Upon opening the door to the shop, my eyes were met with a beautiful kalon. My jaw dropped like this was some cheesy romantic comedy or something.
...“Welcome!” The kalon said, “We’re running special deals because of our opening! All tanks 5 gal. and up are 10% off with the purchase of an animal.” She smiled at me.
...Playing off my lack of cool, I thanked her for notifying me of the deals and began to peruse the shop – and then there they were – the bettas. Crap, I thought as I spotted the cutest calico colored crowntail betta.
...Looking wistfully at the beauty, I murmured in front of the little cutie’s tank, “I’m sorry I don’t have the money for you right now, but I’ll visit you…”
...I walked out of the shop determined.
...“Have a good day!” The shopkeeper said to me as I headed out the door.
...“You too!” I called back, blushing. Calm down Suiren, she’s being nice to you because it’s her job. You of all people should understand that, being a bartender and all.
...I returned to the shop whenever I could to make sure the betta was still there as well as talk some to the cute shopkeeper. Every time I returned, I worked up more and more courage to talk to Saria more. (We’re on a first name basis now!) Until it seemed like she was kind of flirting with me too.
...Choking up all the courage I had – coincidentally the same day I decided I could afford everything for the new betta – I said rather quickly: “I know how awkward it is for someone to ask you out while you’re working and I just want to say I’ll be respectful and not weird about it at all if you say no…”
...Saria smirked at me.
...“Ahh, sorry… I’m rambling,” I took a deep breath, “There’s a new dolphin show announced at the aquarium and I was wondering if you want to go to it with me maybe?”
...Saria glanced down as she rung up my items.
...“I’d love to,” she said smiling, “And that will be $43.96.”
...I beamed from ear to ear the whole time I paid and all the way home.

...I woke up with a start, excited for the day. I rolled over and shook Saria awake – she’s not a morning person like me.
...She groaned, “Let’s just sleep in and cudddlllle,” she said tiredly.
...I smiled and curled up with her again, “Sounds like a plan.”
...We stayed in bed for another hour or two and then we got ready for the day. I called in sick to work and I grabbed my purse in preparation to go to the Aquarium.
...“I’m really looking forward to today,” Saria said, walking over to me and kissing my forehead.
...We walked to the aquarium and watched the different aquatic species move around in their giant tanks. It was very peaceful.
...After spending a while at the aquarium, we went to Saria’s favorite restaurant and then to the sore to pick up A BUNCH of ice cream and headed home.
...While Saria picked something for us to watch on Netflix, I dished up ice cream in to large bowls and came over to the couch to curl up with Saria.
...Before we started the movie, I looked SJ in the eyes and said: “I am so sorry I made you feel like you couldn’t come to me with your panic attacks. From now on, you come first before anything in my job.”
...Saria smiled, “I love you, Suiren.”
...“I love you, Saria Jini.”
...We watched movies and ate ice cream for the rest of the night, happy in each other’s arms.
