Pie Story wrote:Well, this was from when I was a kid, but I was really proud that day. My school was holding a fair to raise money for famine victims, and I decided to have a pie sale - but not just any pie sale. The biggest, bestest pie sale EVER. So I got my friends over to come and help, and we first made the dough, which took a while and got us quite sticky! After that, we had to make the dough into the pie case. We made the biggest pie case we could, it was huge! Then we started on the fillings... Rainbow fillings! We used lemons and raspberries and blueberries and blackberries and more and put them in stripes inside the pie case so they looked like an actual rainbow! Then my mum helped us put it in the oven. We waited while it cooked and when it came out it was crispy-brown and smelled heavenly. My mum gave us icing pipes and icing and we made a sky on the outside of the pie. It was blue with fluffy white clouds and a rainbow arching across it, and the sun.
The next day we took it to the fair. We set up our stall and collected the money in a jar. We were amazed that so many people were buying our pie. But we were even more amazed when we counted our money up and found we'd raised over 100 pounds! I hope that the money we raised that day helped starving children and adults.
