Jules has always been an incredibly selfless lion. When his abilities manifested it was to the surprise of no one who knew him; Jules had forever been the cub to sit beside someone with a sore paw, the one to chase away nightmares with a murmured story, the one to offer comfort to anyone he believed needed it. He never really grew away from those habits; even as a youth, during his infrequent breaks of training, he would spend time among those struggling the hardest and reassure them of their worth and potential. He believes that there is good in everyone, no matter how deeply you must go to find it. He believes that mistakes are made but can be recovered from. He believes that everyone he meets has something they are destined to do, even if they have no idea of it, and he thinks it's his mission in life to encourage everyone else. He's constantly brushing up against the other lions to reassure them, to make their skin quiver with a bolt of energy, to ease the aches of their wounds and hearts. Jules can not imagine doing anything else with his gift, and believes whole-heartedly that he developed it for a purpose.
He's naturally quiet and reluctant to inject his own opinion in conversations, unless it is cajoled from him. He has few close friends; while he's generally well-known, due to his element and his cheerful giving of it, but he doesn't keep many friends who know him past what he can do. Simply put Jules is too busy to maintain friendships; he's always volunteering for missions to provide back-up for the soldiers, always wandering the plains to bring comfort to whomever he may find. He's unsurprisingly worthless at hunting and despises causing pain; he's meek and mild to those dominant to him as well, and will roll belly-up to anyone who requests it of him. He believes what he is told, a fact which has led to many months of tricks played on him by bored lions.
Garwood has recently taken him under his wing and told the others to back off. He's working on training Jules to be suspicious, but it is so outside his nature that the lessons are dragging.
