Home wrote:The miniature town of Siren, located in a small valley between Mt. Ruspurn to the east and Mt. Dubose to the southwest, is nothing special to behold. Looking at it from a distance, you would think it is an ordinary town, but in Siren, everyone knows everyone, and they all have close bonds. Newcomers are welcomed warmly, and departures are extravagant events, mostly since they almost never happen. Each species, mostly, gets along nice, but some do still have grudges. If you agree to stay for dinner, they’ll make a feast in your honor, and everyone who has a spare room is always welcoming to outsiders. In the middle of the town you can see the Church. In this church the oldest documents of the town lay. It is the heart of the town, and a pristine prize they love to show off. Living in the closest home to the center of the village, Victory's life is anything but private. She can commonly be seen sitting on a wooden swaying bench on her front porch. The weather in Siren is nice, very few hot days, temperature regularly warm with light breezy winds. Winters have gotten extreme in the past, but they usually only stay a faily decent cold.
Personality wrote:Victory is the most social viscet you may ever meet. She loves to introduce herself to others and meet new friends. She absolutely adores being the center of attention. Social events are her practically entire life: she is always with others! Victory tends to feel like she is better than others, which often leads her to get envious of others, believing she should have or do whatever it is she wants. Victory makes it seem like she doesn't care what others think of her, though she actually does. She finds it easy to stay calm, relaxed, and focused when there is pressure on her and in situations most couldn't stay calm. She usually doesn't worry about how her actions affect others. Victory gets upset easily and can be very whiny and pouty when in private areas with few watching her. Her mood changes practically in the blink of an eye. She frequently misplaces her things and trys her best to hide that she lost something by making up a wuick escuse to why the object is in that place. Victory is best at improvising, since she almost always ends up ruining or straying off from the original plan. She has a hard time relating to others and their feelings, and tends to try to relate by talking about "A time when..." yet it never really relates and ends up being completely different than the original topic. Many things she does are out of sheer curiosity, saying "but I just wanted to know!" in a whiny tone if she did something bad. Victory spends a good amount of time exploring unrealistic and impractical yet intriguing ideas. "Nah, that wouldn't happen... BUT WHAT IF?!" Can be heard a lot from her. Other than when she is alone and thinking of these ideas, Victory doesn't usually get lost in her thoughts. Victory tends to not feel insecure about anything involving her appearance or personality. When she isn't confident in a decision, she often panics and looks to others to see what they did and lets other people influence her actions. On the other hand, when she is confident in her decision, there is absolutely no changing Victory's mind. If she has a set thought, it is set, and that is it. You can not tell her what to do, even if you have good reasons why and her decision is clearly wrong. She believes that the truth is more important than other's sensitivities, and only thinks otherwise if she especially likes you and know the truth would be bad to say.
Victory would rather see her child grow up kind than smart, though she thinks both are good, because social ties are the most important, and getting friends because you are nice is better than waiting for your smarts to be used to become rich and popular. She also believes that being right is more important than being cooperative when it comes to teamwork, and thinks that if your opinion isn't supported by many facts it isn't valid.
History/Life Overview wrote:Flashback to her strolling past the local shops. She is getting pitiful and sympathetic looks but she doesn't know why. Some stop in their tracks to watch her pass by, one viscet takes off his hat. She stops at a stand and says hello, not even looking up at the owner. She picks up a long loaf of bread and gets money to pay. The owner stops her saying "that isn't necessary to day" he also adds "we are all very sorry" Victory stays still in confusion as he bags the bread. He glances up and suddenly realizes. He says something along the lines of "You...? I didn't know know that you didn't hear... I'm so sorry- we all are very sorry." Victory takes the bag and speaks in a loud, questioning tone "what do you mean... 'your sorry' sorry about what?!" He looks around frantically and another viscet comes up behind Victory. "Your father... he was found in a river. He was already gone when they spotted him." She gave Victory a true look of sorrow. Victory clutched the top of the paper bag her loaf of bread was in, and sprinted home crying, bumping into others along the way but not caring.
She had always been super close to her father, as her mother wasn't a good mother. She still liked her mom, and agreed with many things she said, but Victory always thought her mother wasn't motherly. So she ends up depressed for a while, isolating herself and rejecting all food she was offered for a while.
Her best friend is always patient with her and tries to help her. He is almost like a servant in a way, since he does nearly everything she says to do. He spoilers her so much because he truly does love her, and has tried to tell her, but unknowingly she never allowed him the time to do so. She doesn't even realize that she bosses him around and doesn't treat him well sometimes. The two are very close.
The friend comes into her bedroom to find her slouching in the corner of her room looking at photographs of her father. She helps her up with one paw and hugs her tight. He keeps one paw behind his back as the two move to the bed and then flip though more photos in a scrapbook. They come across a very old one where Victory is wearing a silver tiara and her father has a golden crown.
Turning to Victory, the friend puts his one paw on her paw and he slowly moves the other one from behind his back, revealing a black box. As he does this he says
"Your father always said he was rightfully a king, and you've been my princess for so long, will you please be my queen, and marry me?"
Victory smiles as life and joy comes back to her eyes and she weakly says yes, accepting the beautiful ring that was likely way to expensive for him to afford.
