Second Chance Shelter is a dog and cat rescue where you can come to find a new member of your family. We rescue and rehabilitate dogs and cats of all shapes and sizes so they may have the chance to be placed into a caring home. All of our animals are special and deserve a chance to be happy with an owner that will care for them. The question is: are you ready to love them?

These two were found on the streets just roaming. They were fairly friendly and came with us willingly. No one knows how they got on the streets in the first place but they seem to be buddies. I wonder how they met...
They kind of remind us of the two characters from Beverly Hills Chihuahua so we temporarily named them Delgado and Chloe but you can change that to something more fitting if you want.

Personality: He is overprotective and clingy, but is a very funny dog. While he seems stubborn, he is soft and loving, chasing people around for hours while playing. With his owner, there is no end for the fun! Aside from dinnertime of course.
How they met "Chloe": While he was a stray, he wandered around, trying to avoid contact with humans until he found a small Chihuahua. Her determined and soft nature intrigued him, and soon they became friends. As he helped her to survive, they soon realized food was getting scarce and bitter weather moved in. He led the Chihuahua to a rich house, and told her to paw at the door and beg while he hid. After the humans brought her inside he continued off on his adventure, but soon after, one-day he saw the chihuaua and her owner walking. She noticed him and began barking, getting her owner's attention. The human soon found a new home for him, where he would live a life full of love.

How they met "Delgado": her last owner was kicking her for barking at the neighbors dog. The owner had thrown her on the ground and was violently beating her. Delgado attacked the violent offender, and ran off with "Chloe" in his mouth. They worked together to get through the streets. They had heard about this place from happy dogs who have found a kind home, and that's why they came willingly. Now I'm willing to give them both a good home C:

How they met "Chloe":
Delgado was a police dog so he help out to sniff things out. Delgado was not liking what he was doing to he ran out of the places. He was in a town full of people, where was a pet shop near by to he went up to it and opened the door. He shop owners where shock to see a big dog walking into there shop. Other dogs where barking in the back and cats hissing where he was in the front of the store. They accept him in and put him up for sell with all of the other dogs.

Some one came in with a little Long Haired Chihuahua she was looking around when her owner was picking up something. She looked into the back and saw delgado lying on the floor a sleep, her tail went up and he barked out. Her owner looked up and saw delgado looking into his eyes "i'll take that German Shepherd" the owner said with a big smile on his face. Delgado was so happy and Chloe was too, they both walked home together and now they lived with each other now.~

They both met at a pet shop. When they both got some Chloe was a little bit shy around him until she did something funny with her owner. Delgado walked up to her and told her everything about her and what he was. Chloe smiled and fell in love with Delgado every day. They go around the world together with there owner and it's fun to them really fun. Seeing now things that they have not see before in there life and they will never forget it~~.

how they met Chloe

Delgado had been forced to train since day one for his future career. Jack, his father, had been in the show ring since before Delgado was born. His mother, Juliet, was under-estimated. However, everyone soon found out that she had champion bloodlines and possessed these traits too. With his amazing genetics, everyone expected Delgado to become a legacy, which he did, but in a different way. As a puppy, he was afraid of many things— cats, loud noises, and even most other dogs. Delgado had been training when another trainer brought a big dog in the ring. Frightened, he tried to scale the chain-linked fence keeping him in. Now keep in mind, this fence was 5-6 feet high, so this is giant to most pups. But with no regards, he leapt onto the fence, but got his leg stuck in the process. Delgado had a fractured leg, but the owners never even thought to set it properly. They thought that his fragile bones would heal over time. Delgado's trainers eventually realized that this pup's career was over. His leg grew at a slightly awkward angle and he was still able to walk fine, but even the smallest details like this are deemed unattractive. The owners dropped him off at what they thought was a no-kill shelter, but they couldn't have been more wrong.

How they met "Chloe": One day while he was roaming the streets he heard yelping and growling coming from a small alleyway. He followed the sounds and was horrified to see a pack of stray dogs attacking a small white dog. He growled and rushed into the middle throwing himself over the smaller dog until eventually the pack gave up and ran off
