If you could have 1,000 of something, what would it be and why? I would have a collection of 1000 handwritten letters to me from my friends. I really miss the time where we used snail mail to communicate with each other, because I absolutely love waiting in anticipation to open the letter box and find an envelope addressed to me. I also feel that it's a very sincere way to tell someone something, because for you to pen down what you want to say to someone requires some thought to it, and also the effort to write it down on paper. it's also fun to collect different types of envelopes, papers, and stamps. having this whole collection of different handwriting speaking the words that your friends have to say to you, comforts me a lot, because it shows me that my friends care for me, and are thinking of me.
Han is a lonely horse. He never had many friends, because of how reserved he is. The others did not understand him, nor did they know how to approach him. He seems so..distant.
But, that's just how he is. He did not see the need to interact with them, unless it was necessary. He did not like the idea of always being around the others, where there's always a lot of noise. It hurts his ears. It was so draining.
One day, the herd approached new grounds, and settled near a little village. A warm glow could be seen, and it seemed as if the villagers were having a party. Some members of the herd decided to venture a little closer to the village, intrigued by the light, and also to make friends with the horses there. Curiosity made Han follow a few steps behind them, careful to maintain a little distance in between, just in case they caught him following them.
As they drew nearer to the village, Han realised how big a crowd there was. People were streaming everywhere, waving their hands, spinning and jumping around. He watched as some of them, after noticing the presence of the herd, approached them slowly, before gently laying their hands on their heads. Gradually, a crowd formed around the herd, slowly moving inside the village. For a moment, he thought he'd lost them, and feeling his heart race in fear, he decided to find them in the crowd.
Ears pricked forward, Han crept quietly closer and closer to the village. Boom, boom boom, boom. His ears were ringing from the sounds coming all around him. Boom, boom boom, boom. He was starting to regret following them here. Ting ting! Boom, boom boom, boom. Finally going round a hut that was in his way, he saw the herd. Boom, boom boom, boom. His eyes widened in surprise. They were...jumping. Boom, boom boom, boom. Ting ting! Spinning. Boom, boom boom, boom. Smiling. Ting ting!
One of them turned around, and spotted him watching them. It was Quill. He walked over to Han, saying, "H-hey, you're here too. Didn't expect you to have followed us, I-I mean, not that we didn't want you to, it's just that, maybe this isn't your kind of thing, so we weren't sure to ask you along..." Han just stared back in amusement, making Quill squirm in discomfort and embarrassment.
"No...well, I guess it isn't. But what are these sounds?"
Ting ting! Boom, boom boom, boom.
Quill looked up at Han in shock. "T-These sounds? This is music, Han."
Boom, boom boom, boom. Ting ting!
Music? Is this what people do when there's music? Han looked around, observing as more people started to crowd around him, shaking their bodies, and clapping their hands.
"And what are they doing? Are they alright?"
Quill shook his head in disbelief, stifling a laugh. "Han, they're dancing."
Ting ting! Boom, boom boom, boom.
That day, Han learnt what music was. Everyone was having so much fun together, dancing along to the music. Perhaps, that is how having friends was like. It brings colour and life into your life. You enjoy the company you have so much, that it makes you want to dance.
Perhaps, that is how having friends was like.
Tell me about his best friend (art is okay too): Han's best friend is Quill, the other horse that was mentioned in the previous story. Quill is very friendly, and he warms up very quickly to others around him. He cares deeply for his friends, and is always looking for opportunities to make new ones. He tries his best to make the other party feel comfortable, even if they are not close friends, but this is what Quill is best at doing - bridging relationships together. The story above tells of how Han first started talking to Quill. It was then that Han realised having friends wasn't too bad, so he slowly opened himself to Quill. Of course, Quill was elated to be the first one to have broken Han's walls. He was very patient with Han, putting in a lot of effort to get to know him better, but also giving him enough space so as not to overwhelm him.
