Pink, white and a dash of purple, a small blossom tree covered island just off the tropical coast. There's often nobody there, as the area is owned by a racoon who keeps the island private. Yoshi is lucky to be allowed on the island. He really needed a quiet space he could go to, since when he's upset the very last thing he wants is attention.
At high tide the water almost comes all the way to the edge of the pretty forest of trees, only just reaching the grass. You can occasionally spot dolphins and other sea creatures. At low tide a beach is revealed, often covered in a strange type of starfish and crabs. The starfish found there can survive in the scorching sun for a very long time. There is a side of higher sand on the island where sand has been forcibly drsgged by thd curren of thd tides snd deposited there. It means that at high tide theres still a bit of beach. It can be viewed to the left of the island from the coastline.
Sometimes you can see tourists from the main coast, often they're taking pictures of the lovely blossom island. Yoshi uses a small wooden boat and a single ore to reachvthe island. The boat is painted green and blue, but most of the paint has worn off from scratching on rocks and the years of use. There are two medium sized ores in the boat. The islsnd isnt too far from the coastline, so it only takes a few minutes to reach.
Throughout the day, the water is a light blue with a hint of tropical green. However, at night the water turns a silvery blue, reflecting the moonlight. Anc at sunset of sunrise the water turns to a flow of reds, oranges and yellows. If you stand on the coast and watch the sunset with the island in the background, you'll be able to see a beutiful blossom island turn to a dark red silhouette.
Sometimes, when the water is calm, Yoshi will simpily allow the boat to float slowly across the water, forgetting of any problem as he slowly bobs above the waves of the tropical waters. If he begins to head in the wrong direction he'll use a few strokes of an ore to re-direct the boat, before returning to relaxing without a care in the world.
There's not an awful lot of things you can do on the island, since its private theres never really anyone there besides Yoshi. The racoon who owns the island only visits to make sure the trees are well and other things like that, so they're hardly ever there. There are some woodchip pathways going through the island, cutting it into quarters. The northeast quarter, the one most hidden from public veiw, has a small pool of water. Its freezing cold, but clean and doesnt have the nasty things you can find in regular, public swimming pools. Its rather wide and deep enough for Yoshi to happily swim around.
The island is really nice to take a short (for it isnt that big) walk around and whilst it lacks things to do, its quiet and away from the busy, noisy everyday life Yoshi lives. Its the perfect place to reveal stress.
