Why you want them --
• I've honestly always admired the artwork from afar and wanted to own a Kalon so that I can participate in the fun. I've also always been way too intimidated by the community and the really intense designs and edits to try and get involved. It's difficult to be an active part of a community when you don't have one of the characters. I've tried for a few here and there, but the competition is fierce and I've emerged unsuccessful each time. This design definitely caught my eye while I was doing my board sweep, because she's just so bright, springy, and great to see on such a cold dreary day! I consider it fate that I was able to sneak in as the very. last. form. o.o

Tortoise, as I'll refer to her, is a beautiful design and I wanted to grasp this amazing opportunity and try to get my feet wet in the kalon-verse. Worth a shot, right? I absolutely adore natural, easy to replicate designs (as I feel much more at home when working with neutral, earthy colors) and she fits the bill perfectly. The splash of bright lime adds an adorable, cheery touch to her as well, and it's one of my favorite colors to add to my own designs for that extra POP! Those little speckles on her face are completely precious. Overall, she is just a lovely, sweet design who I'd be absolutely thrilled to add to my character family. The ideas are already coming to me; I just need the time to sit down and process it all.

Because character development is such an intensive, long process for me and I only have an hour to finish my form, I admit that her character is still very up in the air. However, I already have many ideas and can potentially take many fun paths with her. One thing is for certain: she really likes turtles and tortoises. Watching them eat, 'run' around, and go about their busy turtle/tortoise lives absolutely makes her day. I look forward to learning who Torti is, what she likes, what she dislikes, and what really makes her tick. I do not intend to make her play the field for romantic interests any time soon, as character development will take priority! I also do not intend to immediately begin creating a kalon hoard. I want to be able to focus on this adorable, turtle-loving girl and make her feel alive!

Creating a solid personality has always been one of my favorite parts of adopting characters, and I'm excited to begin participating in more adoptable communities for this purpose! I haven't a decent opportunity to go all in since the Pound of Hop and The Agency were a thing. I'm honestly getting so amped up and excited to go on a character development spree after writing this!
