Collar Color ; A black background with blue marks
Personality ; Lung seems shy at first. She isn't one to warm up to easy. She loves to be alone by the fire at times and doesn't do well with huge groups of strangers. She didn't like it when she first got to her new home. She wanted to be alone for a while, yet soon she started to warm up the dogs and cats. Once you got to know Lung she was the sweetest dog ever. She loves belly rubs. Laying on her back just to be rubbed is what she normally does. She isn't an attention hog, unless she needs feed of course. Still she can stay shy for a while. Lung loves to be with her family as well. Either Biological or Adopted. The only one of her siblings she doesn't get along with is her brother, Marrow. He can be just a little ruff with her. So she tends to stay away from that brother. She also hates being cold. We don't know where it came from, yet it seems to come from her being a worry word. She will lay by the fireplace in the house and never wants to go outside during the winter. Yet the cats keep her company. Plus with the new kittens in the house she has watch duty at times. Lung loves to cuddle with one of them named Fawn. Fawn is her favorite kitten of them all. They will go an lay by the fire with the others when everyone else is outside or just doing other things. She does have a soft spot for the younger animals. Never hurt anyone. Lung is just a shy dog who her trust is hard to gain, yet once you gain it she can be the nicest, sweetest dog you have ever meet.

Username: SergeantWinter
Name: Mars
Nickname: Marslord
Gender: Male
Collar: solid black collar with a galaxy theme bow tie facing the front, and a silver dog bone tag hanging underneath the bow tie or just right beside one of the labels.

Personality: Mars is a strong young pup, but his brawns do not outweigh his brains. He is clever, patient, and most of all reserved. Meaning he doesn't show off or challenge others for the spotlight. He tends to just stand in the background and be there quietly going unnoticed half the time. Everyone stereotypes him as cold and creepy due to a front he puts up, therefore no one wants to be around him. But his litter mates know better, Mars is that light at the end of a dark tunnel. He makes his family laugh all the time, and at the very least he was sure to put a smile on their faces once a day. It didn't matter what struggles they went through that day, he was determined to make it happen. So underneath this reserved shell, is a protective, caring, and yet goof ball of a pup. If anyone who knew Mars had to describe him in one word, it would be gentleman. He is polite and tries to help with whatever and whenever he can, especially with his mother. He just wants to take as much stress off of her as possible and tends to mother her more than she mothers him. That also means that he is a big family dog. He's forever loyal to his siblings and mother, and it probably doesn’t help that in his eyes they are saints. Even if his brothers and sisters tease and pick on him. Other than his family, Mars struggles to develop relationships of any kind with others. So his best friend has became his imagination, and that often results in him being a bit distant or zoned out from the rest of the universe.
With age, Mars is beginning to find confidence in himself to not be so reserved all the time. It is expected that he'll always be a quiet one, but he is slowly allowing others to see his true colors instead of just his family. Although with this newly equipped confidence, he is beginning to be a bit of a daredevil. It’s like Mars feels like he can push against the boundaries he had set, and go out of his comfort zones again. He is still hesitant and unsure around others, but he does seem to pick things up and is a quick learner. Although this does mean he is less dependent on his family for companionship, which is why he has vowed to always be right there for his family the moment they need him. Mars has also gained a more heroic stance because he knows very well that the world isn't all sunshine and rainbows. He doesn't want to see anymore corruption and misery, which only provides him with one goal. To help. He just wants to correct the corruption and spread a blanket of safety over everyone, despite some of his newly obtained reckless tendencies. Thanks to his growth spurt and muscle build, he has been gifted the capability to protect those with misfortune. Granted he is still learning and needs to continue to build up on his confidence, he can't help but to wish upon every single star in the sky that some day he can be someone else's hero.
Theme Songs: Charlie Puth - One Call Away & Coldplay - A Sky Full Of Stars & OneRepublic - Counting Stars &
Blue Swede - Hooked on a Feeling
Quotes: "Hero is just another word for someone trying to correct the wrongs in this world" & "There is no night without stars"
Quirks: He howls at night if the curtains are closed and he can't see the night sky out the window.
Hobby: It may be an odd thing for a growing pup to be entertained by the stars, but it's just one of those things that remind him of home and safety, comfort. You see, Mars didn't like the dark as a puppy and it had scared him to the ends of the Earth. His mother would tell him that it was alright, and all he had to do was look to the sky for the darkness to go away. At first, he couldn't understand what she had meant, but then as time passed slowly, one by one the night sky was filled by glowing lights. The Stars. From then on, before bedtime, Mars would have his mother tell him stories about the stars, and she would tell him all about the creatures that lived up there. Such as Orion, the hunter, Hercules, the hero, Lyra, the harp, Pegasus, the winged horse, and many many others. Every night was a different story to be told. His mother told him that these creatures would protect him from the darkness, but he had to look to the stars for a passage to open up between the stars and the Earth so that they could. Which caused the saying to arise that there is no night without stars, because every time Mars would gaze into those stars. Of course with age, comes wisdom, and he knew that the stories his mother told him where just words to help him sleep peacefully. It never bothered him once he learned that his mother did this, and now he stargazes to see his mother amongst them someday.
Image
History Blurb: As a young pup, Mars grew up within the shelter. He was one of the more unhealthy looking pups, and although the shelter was very kind and sweet to him, the other pups in the nursery weren't so welcoming. He was teased for his size and often got pushed over a lot. They called him marrow because he was skinny, and they'd taunt him by saying he was only good for putting food on the table. The food being him, except due to his size he'd just be a pile of bones. Mars didn't let the others get to him and he carried on with his day, but that is not to say the other pups words didn't effect him. It caused Mars to be the way he is today. By having a menacing appearance he found that the others would be wary of him and leave him alone. Although it also caused him to not gain any friends and become socially awkward. He had no idea how to even start a conversation, excluding his family members. Mars embarrassed himself far more than he liked, which made him grow quiet and so he just stopped trying.

Introductions
Mac: The handsome collie mix was first to approach and was quick to realize that the pup had an absent father. Mac immediately tried to become a father figure for Mars, although he knows nothing about being a father. It makes Kyo laugh at the sight, watching the two of them struggle in their own ways. As it seems that Mac has taken a pleasure in trying to teach Mars about herding, and to put it short, Mars isn't a very good herder. The growing pup is realizing that there's still a lot he doesn't know yet under Mac's guidance. So he's very appreciative of Mac's lessons, and takes everything to heart. He has even began to take after Mac's bad habits, eating people's food. (Particularly Mars bars or bone scraps)
Paprika: Mars seems to have become Paprika's hero. When Paprika was the last one out of the four canines to greet him, he could make some connections that she most likely had some doubts. It was just the way in which Paprika regarded herself and acted towards not only Mars, but the other dogs that were present as well. For once Mars was feeling confident and spoke to the lady first. He was quick to eliminate her insecurities and negative thoughts. This was his chance to be someones hero, and hopefully the start of many. Now Paprika looks to the pup to find confidence in herself, and has become a tad dependent on him.
Maisie: Maisie is a little iffy about Mars, she doesn't truly know what to think of him. Although seeing the younger one play with Kyo does bring a light to her day, since Kyo has been depressed about having to depart from his fellow siblings. So the aussie just might be willing to give Mars a chance. Now Mars has been nothing but polite towards Maisie, and he does seem to be intimidated by her. Always having to think twice about doing or saying something around her. But that will probably change over time, besides he recognizes that Maisie is probably just being protective over her pup.
Kyo: Mars and Kyo hit it off right away and get along great! They seem like they could be best friends in a matter of just a few days. At first Mars was a bit hesitant and shy to approach Kyo, but the playful pup before him was quick to steal Mac's favourite tug of war rope. Kyo even had already began to engaged Mars in some of his mischievous games, whether the older pup knew it or not.

xxxxSISKIN "SKIN" ✿ MALE ✿ MIAOU [FEATURING RADICAL FACE]: LOST SOULS

Siskin was found with his mother and kept with her in the nursery until he was ready to get adopted out. Skin is unnaturally shy, and doesn't really open up to people quickly. This isn't to say he's aggressive, he wouldn't snap at you even if you were threatening him. But he doesn't just walk up to strangers, and he's extremely slow when it comes to accepting food from anyone; including the workers at the shelter. His tail is tucked between his legs most of the time, and if he does end up approaching you, it's with his head down. None of us are truly sure as to why Skin is like this, but it's been holding him back from getting adopted out. Who wants a dog that won't even come when you call them because they're too nervous to come? Because of this, one of the workers at the shelter will be taking Skin in, just to work with him a little longer and not press him under a families expectation of being a playful and active dog.

Anyhow, despite Skin being extremely shy and weary around people and other animals, he seems to be extremely, on the flip side of the coin, intelligent. He not only was able to break the lock on his kennel several times and confuse workers, but he is fully capable of understanding what someone is asks for; if he can get it? He'll go get it for them, whether it be another person or an attainable item. If you get a chance to teach him new tricks, it doesn't take him a long time at all with learning a new trick. It could take his a week of constant training at the very most; or so we're assuming at least, based on his knowledge currently. The only prominent issue with this, once again, is with his hesitance. If you're not someone he fully knows and or trusts, it could take him awhile to work under your commands. Not to mention, a lot of times he hesitates and doesn't do anything. We feel like he sometimes holds himself back in these situations, though we aren't too sure why.

Overall, we feel like Skin is a very good dog, he simply has his own personal issues with interaction and socializing with other animals; this includes his own family. Despite this, we feel like if we don't change his environment much by giving him a permanent residence at the shelter might help him somewhat.

    ━ ━ ━ ━ ━ ━ ━ ━ ━ ━ ━ ━ ━ ━ ━ ━ ━ ━ ━ ━ ━ ━ ━ ━ ━ ━ ━ ━ ━ ━ ━ ━

"He's sorta weird d'nt'cha think dad?" Skin felt his heart drop a couple of meters at the comment, his fur was heating up now. He was weird?
"Don't you think," his father corrected quietly, casting a glance back at the other dog across from them, "and don't call someone weird, you wouldn't like it, would you?"

Skin watched both father and son exchange a silent moment; he was quite aware that he was witnessing an awkward moment. He sunk his head lower between his shoulders, somewhat hoping that it might make both of them forget he was here. Alas, it didn't work. The small black dog was staring at him, as was his son.

    "What's your name?"

Skin was going to say something, tried to open his mouth to say something, but no words came out. Quickly realizing that he wasn't going to speak, he shut his mouth again and made sure to not make direct eye contact with the dog across from him. He was still confused, and a bit scared. He had been taken from his home to this one, and he didn't like it here. It smelled strongly of vanilla; and something that wasn't at his other home. There wasn't the metallic smell in the air anymore, so he couldn't taste the metal in the air like at his other home. It worried him.

"You don't like talking do you? It's alright, I won't do anything but fill you in then. I'm Dexter, this is my son, Tiësto, and there's also a cat around here, Bismuth. You might not see him today, he doesn't linger much around new animals until he's watched their behavior enough to get a general idea of them. My owner must've brought you here to stay, so welcome to your home."

Dexter had a nice voice that he liked, it made his ears perk up slightly. His voice was somewhat deep, but not deep enough to be intimidating to him. His son had a cute voice as well, he decided. These thoughts made him raise his head a bit up, to which Dexter gave him a lopsided grin. Dexter had nice teeth too. Skin wasn't sure what kind of dogs either of these were, but neither seemed all that scary in this moment. He decided to look Dexter up and down, observe the other dog.

Dexter had a lean body, with long thin legs and large perked ears. His muzzle was narrow and long, and his paws were small. He also had no tail either, really. Skin found his form appealing. His son didn't resemble his form however. Looking over at the pup slowly, he wondered who the other parent of Tiësto was. Tiësto had one of Dexter's tall ears, and a small tail like Dexter's. That's where the traits ended though. The floppy ear wasn't Dexter's, the fur wasn't Dexter's, it made him curious about the other parent. Not to mention, Tiësto was a bright red.

    "My name is Skin."

Both of the other dogs looked surprise with his response. Then Dexter's face crinkled up in what he assumed to be confusion, maybe disgust? This made him nervous, and he felt his body start to tremble at the facial expression.

"Skin? Who named you that? I hope it wasn't my owner. Oh well, either way, I, as Dexter, don't like it. We're gonna call you... uh, Siskin. Your nickname can be Skin."

Skin shook at the new name, but nodded slowly. Siskin? It sounded nice on his tongue. He wondered what it meant, or what it was. Either way, he shook his head slightly to rid himself of the thoughts and nodded cautiously at Dexter, who, once again, gave him that lopsided grin. He felt his tail wag ever so slightly on the ground behind him, though he didn't know why. There was something in that grin that made him happy, made him feel something. He just didn't know what it was, or what he was feeling. Emotions were strange concepts to handle.

    ━ ━ ━ ━ ━ ━ ━ ━ ━ ━ ━ ━ ━ ━ ━ ━ ━ ━ ━ ━ ━ ━ ━ ━ ━ ━ ━ ━ ━ ━ ━ ━

Dexter was really nice, Siskin decided. His son was okay as well, but Skin wasn't as adjusted to the pup as he was to his father. Dexter could be cocky, Dexter had a bite to him, but he was no doubt a friendly dog who enjoyed socializing. Skin quite liked having Dex as a tour guide. Over the past couple of days, he had been led on by the black dog. Each nook and cranny had been introduced to him; there seemed to be no limits to the house, except that in this house there are only housebroken animals. That was understandable to Skin. His tail waggled slightly whilst following Dexter and Tiësto around the house.

"I think you're pretty adjusted to this house right now, I've showed you everything to be shown. If you're comfortable with me asking; what was your family like? How do you feel leaving them? I never remembered my parents. I don't mind if you don't wanna share either, it wouldn't phase me."

Skin stifled up at the question, ears lowering a notch. His family was back at his old home, with the metallic smell everywhere. He didn't remember much regarding them character wise; he didn't usually mess with his family. He didn't usually mess with anyone in the shelter. His family wasn't much; what could he say about them? Glancing around, he realized that Dexter's son was off and playing in the other room, probably with one of the many toys in the house.

"My family isn't really a topic to go on upon. I don't have anything to say about them; mostly because I never found out about them. I wasn't close to anyone in my past home, not even my family." the explanation was quick, simple and he glanced up cautiously to see Dexter nodding slightly.

    "That's fine. I understand."

Skin felt a bit disappointed with the response; though why was he expecting something? That was a strange thought that puzzled him tremendously, though he refused to show it. The thought was deferred. He glanced around, looking for something else to look at rather his housemate standing in front of him. The awkward silence around them now was making him uncomfortable, and he felt his body tremors coming on. It was like he was cold, and shaking, but he wasn't cold. He wasn't cold.

Dexter seemed to notice, and the black dog shuffled his feet a little. Skin looked up to see Dexter staring back at him, something soft showing in his eyes. Skin recognized it as the look that Dexter gave his son, when he was watching him from afar. The look puzzled Skin; the look was so soft, so gentle, and he didn't know what to call it.

"So, our owner should be home later. She might give you your collar tonight, I'm not sure exactly. You'll probably get a chain like me; a choker collar. Don't be scared of it either, I swear it's not that uncomfortable at all. After awhile? You won't even realize that it's there. It's name shouldn't intimidate you either, it doesn't actually choke you and I know for a fact that our owner wouldn't actually use the collar to choke us. She's really nice."

Siskin saw Dexter get that look in his eyes again, that soft and gentle look that he couldn't put a name on. Alas, his tail thumped lightly on the ground behind him. The look calmed him and his shaking, made him relax and slouch even; though not in a shamed, scared way as usual. He was, for once, quite serene.

"Anyway, I think that's it. Wanna go see Tiësto in the other room? I've gotta make sure he doesn't tear something up on accident." Dexter cast a glance behind him where squeals and yips were coming from; his son sure was loud.

Siskin nodded, slowly straightening himself up from his short relaxed period. Dexter's little tail wagged behind him excitedly, and Skin felt the excitement flow from Dexter into himself. For some reason his paws felt lighter, his step was more full of pep, as funny as it sounded. Skin's tongue lolled out of his mouth slightly.

"Oh, Siskin? Don't feel inclined to sleep on the floor. You can sleep anywhere you want."

    ━ ━ ━ ━ ━ ━ ━ ━ ━ ━ ━ ━ ━ ━ ━ ━ ━ ━ ━ ━ ━ ━ ━ ━ ━ ━ ━ ━ ━ ━ ━ ━

Siskin hadn't been prepared to get tasked with watching Dexter's son, Tiësto. The child was nice, he wasn't as attached to him as he was to Dexter, but he hadn't expected this responsibility. According to Dexter, he would be watching him for the day. Skin was startled at the command, task, responsibility. Tiësto hadn't been all that enthralled with him, though he hadn't been calling him weird for awhile now. Despite this, it was still obvious that the pup didn't seem to like him that much.

Here he was, sitting in front of the little pup. Tiësto was bulky and tall, a mixture of Dexter and whoever Dexter had produced offspring with. Skin wondered if they were pretty or not; they probably were, to have children with Dexter. Shaking his head of the thought, he thought about the young pup in front of him. What entertained pups at this age? Tug fights and wrestling right? Both things that Skin weren't good at. Things he would break down at the attempt of. His ears flattened and he felt a familiar mess of tremors take over his body.

Skin flinched as Tiësto stood up in front of him and beckoned Skin with head jerks. Skin felt confused, and tilted his head as Tiësto walked away. Something inside of him told him to get up and follow the pup; so he did. The next thing he knew, he was standing outside in the crisp and cool air. They had traveled to the backyard.

"Wan'a play fetch?" Dexter's son yipped, hopping around him before pausing to nudge a bright green-yellow ball towards him with his nose. Skin stared at the ball for a moment before looking up at Tiësto. He made a face at Tiësto and the pup paused for a moment, raised that tall ear he got from Dex, and stared.

"You don't know how to play fetch d'ya? I can teach you! Dad taught me, 's not that hard to get us'd to."

Skin nodded hesitantly at the pup, lowering himself down on his haunches and perking his ears up to show that he was listening. Once Tiësto was fully positive that all of Skin's attention was on him, he started his demonstration. He watched as the pup took the ball in his mouth, looked up and then looked back down. He waited a couple of moments. Then, as if something had gone off, he swung his small head around and sent the ball flying. He chased after the ball in a frantic run. Skin watched with interested and curiosity at the game.

Skin was itching his neck, a place under his newly acquired choker collar was being extremely bothersome today, when the pup came back. Tiësto was out of breath and panting when he returned, and he was slightly concerned. But the pup dropped the ball and a long, lopsided grin crossed his face. It reminded Skin of Dexter and made him pause. Then the pup was sitting in front of him, his fur ruffled and tiny tail waggling behind him.

    "See? 's easy. So, d'ya wan'a play?"

This time, Skin didn't hesitate with his nod. He stood up, along with Tiësto, and the games began.

Skin flopped down on the soft, cool grass. His mouth was open wide and his tongue was hanging out, Tiësto wasn't looking any better next to him. The ball wasn't too far from them, though they were both too tired to get up and fetch the ball this time. Skin had been told he was an excellent playing partner; his long legs made him good for throwing the ball. Skin had melted under the compliments from the pup, loving the attention and the warm feeling that came with each compliment. Skin rolled over to look at the pup next to him.

The pup was staring back at him. Skin silenced his heavy panting to calmly look at Tiësto in the eyes. It was a smooth, relaxed moment shared between the two dogs. After a couple of moments, Tiësto sat up and Skin's eyes followed the pup on his travel up.

"You're nice Siskin. You're not so weird after all."

Surprised at the decently worded sentence, Siskin felt his heart speed up a bit. The warm feeling from earlier, from when he was being complimented heavily, washed back over him.

    ━ ━ ━ ━ ━ ━ ━ ━ ━ ━ ━ ━ ━ ━ ━ ━ ━ ━ ━ ━ ━ ━ ━ ━ ━ ━ ━ ━ ━ ━ ━ ━

It was two weeks of being in the new home before he met Bismuth, the cat that he had heard about. Once Bismuth was out in front of him unexpectedly, he was completely aware that he had seen the cat before; small glimpses. He had also smelled Bismuth around the house as well, but talked to the cat? Tried to socialize with the cat? That was unheard of. This is why Siskin was rather startled when the cat strode up to him; Dexter, Tiësto and his owner all scattered out around the house. He had merely been sitting by himself in the living room, somewhat scared to socialize by making the first move.

Skin realized that the cat was rather lovely, a nice brown color with beautiful blue eyes. He stared at Bismuth, wishing he could look as appealing as the small feline. Bismuth sat down neatly in front of him and tilted his small head at him, sky blue eyes resting on his canine body. He felt a little self conscious under the inspecting eyes.

"You don't need to be scared of me. I'm not gonna hurt you, physically or mentally."

He was taken aback by the comment, flinching backwards maybe? Either way, he hadn't been expecting that. Bismuth had a soft voice, and he wondered if he was using that voice just for him in this moment? That made him feel good about himself, so he would convince him that that was a special voice for him.

"You seem really troubled; I can see it in your eyes. Don't worry, I'm the legendary Bismuth you've heard about. I know that you're Siskin, correct? I heard about your original name that day, confusing time indeed. I'm glad you have your current name. Siskin is a songbird, did you know that?"

Skin shook his head slowly, he was unaware that a Siskin was a songbird. That made him happy though, a songbird? He was named after a songbird? How lovely; his experience with songbirds were them chirping up furious storms outside, beating out the sound of the many birds around them. He shook his head once again and looked at Bismuth, who was grinning up at him with a classical cat face. Bismuth had gentle, soft eyes with him. It was like Dexter's look all over again, and it made him pause. What was that emotion that they all held in their eyes?

"I'm aware that Dexter has shown you around the house already; I'm also aware of your liking to the mutt. He's definitely something for sure, and I'm pleased to a see you settling down here. It's been a blast watching you over the time you've been here; although I have noticed, you don't seem to talk much do you? I feel like Dexter has already said this. Alas, you should talk more. I enjoy your voice and the little bits of conversation I've heard from you."

His fur heated up at the words, and his ears flattened down slowly against his head. It wasn't out of shame though; he was embarrassed by the compliments, by all of the kind words. He didn't know that he had a lovely voice to someone; it made him feel nice about himself. He wiggled under Bismuth's never ending gaze, a subconscious smile crossing his face.

"I didn't know someone enjoyed my voice."

Bismuth started to snort, chuckle- laugh, at him, and it made him freeze. Had he said something wrong? Worry crossed his face and he was tensing up, shaking. Bismuth's sputtering meow-laughs got worse and made him lower his head between his shoulders. He felt like he had done something wrong, extremely wrong, and this was why Bismuth was laughing at him. Skin felt like an absolute idiot at the moment, and wanted nothing more than to disappear.

"Didn't know? Skin, I believe everyone enjoys you in general, not just your voice. Some of us might not be acting normal; for example, usually I'm grouchy and plain rude, Dex is usually flirty and all over the place. But I assure you, it's only because we want to make you feel comfortable with the house in general, before you know the true us. We all adore you, Skin."

Skin felt his shaking lessen, until it was trembles that occurred every couple of seconds. Something inside of him took comfort to this idea; something in him enjoyed this family, enjoyed everyone in it. He looked around, down at his feet, and thought to himself for a moment. So everyone here... liked him then? Thought he was alright? These thoughts made him look up at Bismuth, who, in turn, gave him a warm smile. Their warm smiles didn't fall short of their title.

    "Thank you, Bismuth."

    "Welcome to the family Siskin."

    ━ ━ ━ ━ ━ ━ ━ ━ ━ ━ ━ ━ ━ ━ ━ ━ ━ ━ ━ ━ ━ ━ ━ ━ ━ ━ ━ ━ ━ ━ ━ ━

The day had passed quickly today, and everyone was asleep at the time. Except for Siskin. Skin hadn't been able to sleep as soundly on the couch tonight as usual; and in an attempt of tiring himself out, wandered around the house. The house was larger, and seemed even larger at night when it wasn't busy. He moved sluggishly around every bend and corner, taking his time with observing each aspect of the house at night. The pictures that had been hanging on the walls and set-up on counters didn't look like pictures anymore, they looked like dark boxes of nothing. Skin sighed at them.

His nails lightly clicked on the kitchen floor while he was exploring it, eyes looking up at every cabinet. He knew where most of the items in the kitchen went now; the far cabinet on the right had bowls, far left was plates, everything in between consisted of various items used for drinking. There were a lot of cups in the house. His attention soon drifted out and away from the dining room; and so his journey around the dark house continued.

While traveling, Skin started to hum out a tune that he had heard sometime earlier. His owner didn't seem to enjoy upbeat music; at least when she was playing music throughout the house. A lot of the music that got played around the house happened to be quiet, it was usually a piano was playing. Instrumentals. If there were words in the songs? They were soft and long. Skin enjoyed the music when it happened to run throughout the house. He never had been a big fan of loud sounds, especially the sounds that could be found in music. Certain songs seemed to be a bit crazy sometimes.

Skin didn't realize that he had traveled down the hall of bedrooms.

This was the hall where all of the bedrooms were; guest, master and some extra ones. This was where everyone slept; though he hadn't ever joined them. He would think he'd be invading on their own personal, family-thing if he slept with all of them. Despite being welcomed into the family a couple of times at this point, he still had refused. The couch had been his sleeping spot for the past couple of weeks he'd been at the house. He cautiously traveled up the hall, towards the room where he could hear quiet snoring. The door to the room was cracked open.

Skin trotted up slowly to the door, poking his nose lightly through the door. He smelled everyone in the room; Bismuth with his musky smell, vanilla, a mix. Then there was some smell he couldn't put a name on. It was sweet and yet almost intangible; well, of course it was intangible. It was a smell. Alas, he moved full into the room carefully. Thank god for a small and thin body.

The room was small, but not small enough to be uncomfortable. It was just right for a shelter worker that had many animals up her sleeve. The bed was large, maybe a queen? Probably a queen. There was only a bed, desk and nightstand in the room. She had multiple posters on the wall. There were various stuffed animals on her little nightstand, using up a lot of valuable room on the stand. Skin chuffed slightly at the sight.

He moved slowly towards the bed and was surprised to find everyone, literally, sleeping there. Bismuth was curled up on the pillow next to his owner. Dexter and Tiësto were at the end of the bed, curled up comfortably together. The sight made him choke up a bit; it was a truly sappy, sweet viewing of the family; his family? The thought rolled across his think pan unsteadily. His family. A family for him. The thought was so foreign, so different, that he shoved it off of his own mind for a bit.

Alas, Skin wandered closer to the bed, standing awkwardly on the side of which Bismuth was laying. He carefully lifted himself up, placing both of his front paws on the bed to get a better view of the family in the dark. Yes, it was sorta hard to see things, but at this distance? He could make out just enough of what he wanted. It was strange, seeing everyone cuddled up together. He usually slept on the couch alone. He'd been over this thought before.

Something made him crawl the rest of the way up onto the bed.

He seated himself beside Dexter, laying back to back with the other dog. It was warm against the other dog; or was that the room in general? Either way, the air made him settle down quicker. The sweet smell washed over him in no time, making him rub his head against the bed covers happily. It took Skin a moment of basking in his own warmth and comfort to realize what the smell was engulfing him; it was the smell of home.

Siskin paused when realization hit him like a brick. This house didn't smell like the metal back at his other home, it didn't have the constant wailing of other dogs throughout the night. This house was an actual home; with the smell and peace of it all. What a smell. Home. Skin cast a tiny glance behind him, at Dexter, who was sleeping. He watched the black dog for a moment before noticing a familiar twitching of the lips; the grin that made Skin fill with warmth.

Another brick hit him; love? Feeling loved? Dexter's grin made him happy and loved. The concept was strange; or was it? Skin let his head flop back against the cover, tail thumping lightly against the bed.

These three are going UFA! There are unlimited extras do prettying up, both of which will boost your chances of winning. Each pup does, however, already have a name. You may only try out for two at the most.
Blue with brindle points is Lung, solid blue merle is Marrow, spotty dude is Skin.
The base requirements are:
- collar color and design
- a detailed personality, not just a list of traits
- themesongs! These will be judged on how well they fit the character.

Ends March sixth. If any pup gets only three or less entries, I will keep that pup.

You'd like to know more about Skin, eh?
Well, sure. Watch out though, he's a vicious
fella. Skin indeed can be very aggressive
and can't really go without a decent fight.
Skin also thinks he's the king of everyone.
Like, literally everyone. Skin though, is
very protective of his family even if parts
of his family can annoy him. If he spots one
of his siblings getting picked on, he'll find
out who's being rude to his sibling and in a
Skin sort of way, tell them to stop. Which
honestly, sounds pretty threatening.. in Skin's
point of view. Other's points of view? No.
It just sounds like Skin could be doing
something better. Much better.

✗─────────────────────────✗

Themesong Reasoning:
In the song, it says "No one can be just like me anyways", like how Skin always thinks
he's the king and no one can be like him, no matter how hard they try, in Skin's point
of view. Especially the part with "But look, I've been here, I've done it. Impossible?
Please. Watch, I do it with ease", like how Skin thinks he's better than everyone and
how he sometimes brags about things he does.

Name: Marrow | Gender: Male | Collar Color: Red, White
and Grey Plaid | Themesong: Fun- Rose Falcon
─────────────────────────────────────
Let me tell you about Marrow and his favorite toy: A homemade
braided up rope tug. It was made of lengths of an old flannel shirt
he found thrown away in a dumpster that he frequented in search
of food. He has never been sure why it was his favorite toy but he
loved it dearly. He refused to go anywhere without it and was seen
pulling at the knotted ends whenever he was stressed or bored with
whatever he was waiting for. When he was young his littermates
may play tug-of-war with it and him but he never let them take it
far from his sight. He never did want it to break and even though
it was plenty worn and no longer as colorful, he still loved it just
the same and still does to this day.

Personality:

Marrow is a complete and utter goof ball who loves trying to
get people to smile. He enjoys being the center of attention
when he is in one of his joking moods, which is of course often
seeing how little gets him down. While he is a fun loving kind of
pup, he is also very defensive of his siblings and will put himself
in harm’s way in order to save them from getting hurt. He isn’t
the smartest in the litter but he doesn’t care about things like
that. He would much rather be at the bottom of the rankings of
his siblings than bickering over the top. He is actually the one
that usually breaks up fights with his siblings, not liking to see
any of his friends or family fight anyways. There is not much
to know about Marrow other than his easy going nature.

I wanna try out for Marrow but honestly I don't wanna do all that work and not get him because of the 3 or less forms which looks pretty low (Despite all being wips XD)

Otherwise I would try out for him.

Edited requirements. I haven't had time to type out personalities so relationships with the siblings are no longer required, and you may try out for up to two pups.

xxxxSISKIN "SKIN" ✿ MALE ✿ MIAOU [FEATURING RADICAL FACE]: LOST SOULS
