Name: Bella
First Experience: (400/400)
Their culinary teacher took pity on them this finals week and tried to lessen the load with a simple weekend assignment: prepare your favorite food, no cheating with easy recipes, and bring it in for the class to eat. The only problem is that despite Bella's exemplar grade in the class itself she is fairly inept at cooking by itself. It's been a miracle that she has survived this far without a warning or worse, expulsion. Nearly every project she was assigned ended in a bland bowl of slop or a roaring fire running down the stove tops. If there's that anything Bella Connor cannot do it's prepare a tasty meal.
She drags her feet the entire walk back home with her head down and brain churning to find a food simple enough not to ruin but challenging enough to impress the teacher into not flunking her. After all, she needs this half credit. As she flops backwards onto her bed, backpack dramatically cast aside, the perfect idea settles itself inside her mind. Of course, the tastiest and most fool-proof solution is a pizza! No one can argue with a well-prepared cheese pizza and surely no one would mess one up too badly.
With that she shoots off towards her computer to begin her extensive research on the art of pizza making. By the time she's found a suitable-- and somewhat cheap-- recipe, it is only a half hour before dusk. Regardless, she starts out towards her local grocer with her list and begins to shop. Soon her cart is filled with oils, dough, garlic cloves, tomato products, basil, and a variety of cheeses.
Bella waits until Sunday night to begin preparing her exquisite cuisine. It is simple at first, there's nothing easier than chopping and blending sauces. The real trouble, however, comes with the dough. It takes three tries for her to properly follow the instructions and to get the confounded thing in the oven. Everything runs smoothly afterwards until it is time to check on her project. The dough is black on the bottom while the top is still definitely uncooked. She immediately panics and quickly spirals into a frenzy of tears and tomato sauce.
In the end her efforts are pointless. Left with a half-burnt half-raw pizza and tears dried on her cheeks, Bella settles on buying a pizza from a local shop, easily passing the class.
