What is a Babusagi? wrote:A Babusagi (bah-buu-sah-ghee) is animal-themed toy with a silicone-based
outside and a tasty drink inside! Babusagi also feature a skeleton for
sturdiness and our special bubble fillings for a real bubble-tea look!
Patented technology has also allowed us to levitate a bubble outside of
the silicone shell! Wow! Aside from being sweet in appearance Babusagi
are sweet in personality too and are ready to make friends with you!
Warning: Babusagi may be sentient and capable of developing their own personalities, not all Babusagi guaranteed to be well-behaved.
Babusagis are a bit of an enigma, they are sentient but they definitely aren't alive.
Babusagis don't seem to ever age and seem to even be man-made, at least we don't think they are, they just appear and if you manage to follow one of the delivery trucks that twist wildly on strange paths you'll find that the supposed factory they come from doesn't seem all that industrial...
Sneak in and beyond the packing areas you won't find any machines or some kind of queen Babusagi, no instead is a cheerful gachapon machine the size of an arcade cabinet.
All Babusagis come from this bizarre machine, spit out at random fully grown (though not usually mentally mature) and ready for homes.
As another strange feature Babusagi can open the Levitating Bubble from in front of their neck and put a little bit of themselves in to get new family members out in return.
It's undoubtedly a strange machine, it never needs refilled and always seems to be humming a soft tune...

So hopefully it's not too disappointing (or surprising!) when I say that Babusagis can't grow and thus there are no baby Babusagis! Yep sorry, there's no cuter baby lines under the cover, just the regular ones. Even if they are a bit magical it didn't seem reasonable to have there be babies.
(Did you know that once silicone is cast you can't change its shape like at all? Not even with heat or acid.)
However just because their bodies are grown doesn't mean that they don't need some time to grow mentally, so they will usually hang around their parents for awhile. So there are still families at least. And hey! This is a gacha! Who says some fun surprises can't come out of it?
So how this will work is:
●You find a breeding partner for your Babusagi, probably
in the fanclub, but you can also breed two of your own Babusagi!
●An artist will open some amount of breeding slots
●You will fill out the form below with the appropriate information.
●An artist takes in your form!
●The number of kids and traits are rolled.
●A cover will be posted with some cute doodle of the couple and under it will be all the kids individually! All on their adult lines and everything.
●You and your partner decide who gets what kids or even if you want to put some up for adoption!
Not too bad of a process! But of course there are rules attached.
●Babusagis can breed a total of 5 times but there has to be at least a month between each breeding.
==> Your love is now free.
●A bred Babusagi must be at least 1 month old before it can breed.
●Babusagi can be any gender/orientation/relationship status.
●Incestual pairings are prohibited.
●One breeding can have between 1-4 kids. Weird traits are rolled for using online dice. (A guide to that will be below)
●Do not beg for other people's kids or pressure them into giving up multiples. That's just rude.
●If you put a kid up for adoption be sure to let me know the results so I can update the Archive accordingly.
UPDATE: ●ALL final fates need to be PMed to LivvyAh, if this isn't done in a month both owners will have all the kits added to their totals.
If you've got all that then here's the form! Be sure to replace the packing lists with the ones from your adopts' original pages.

Common and above traits will be rolled with
online dice!Depending on what was rolled a kid will either, keep, lose, or switch out all of their parent's common and above traits!
NEW: if a pair of parents both have only standard edits then an artist can choose
one trait to roll a d4 on. The trait can differ between kits but they each only get one.
So the rolls are as follows:
●d4 - Number of kits.
●d4 - All standard parents only: 1-2 the trait stays standard. 3-4 it can be switched for a common trait on that spot. Cannot be moved.
●d10 - Common traits: 1-2 the trait is lost. 3-6 keeps it. 7-8 it can be switched out with another common trait. 9-10 a uncommon trait takes its place.
●d10 - Uncommon traits: 1-3 the trait is lost. 4-7 keeps it. 8-9 it can be switched out with another uncommon trait. 10 a rare trait takes its place.
●d10 - Rare traits: 1-4 the trait is lost. 5-8 keeps it. 9 it can be switched out with another rare trait. 10 a second rare trait develops.
So a breeding may look like this:
parent1Xparent2
Kits rolled (d4): 1
N001
(If parent has) Common Trait (d10): 7 | Perky ears changed to Nubby
(If parent has) Uncommon Trait (d10): 1 | Chin Length Hair, 4 | 1/4 full Liquid
(If parent has) Rare Trait (d10): 5 | Custom Boba
And the other traits filled in by traits both parents have.
In cases where parents have Common plus traits on the same area both traits will be rolled and the artist will get to decide from there, usually the roll with the better outcome will be picked. If it's the same trait then instead it's a +1 modifier!
It's a little confusing out of context but when paired with a litter it's easier to see.
Hopefully you're not all too confused!

LivvyAh wrote:I'm gonna hop in real quick to define the artist switching process here in the nursery since it's come up and I didn't originally.
If you have a ticket accepted but the artist is either a) unable to complete the litter, b) lets the ticket sit for over a month without explanation, or c) leaves staff, then a few things will happen.
If the ticket has been accepted but nothing else: then the ticket can just be voided by letting me know and then striking it out with screenshotted proof at the bottom.
If the ticket has been accepted and a number of kits has been rolled but nothing else: once again after notifying me, the ticket can be handed over to a new artist. The new artist will be able to roll for edits but cannot roll for a new amount of kits.
↪ If there is also a cover and/or reserved ID codes: Same as above but the artist must use the reserved codes as to avoid gaps.
If possible they should also be added to the cover.
If the ticket has been rolled completely: same as above, first contact me then get a new artist. The new artist is unable to change any of the rolls, they have to use them when they do the breeding. They also need to use the id codes originally reserved and the original cover if it can be helped.
If the batch was started but not all Babusagis were made: after I've been contacted and the artist found the artist will finish the rest of the batch, with their original rolls and under the original cover. If the artist is unable to be added to the original cover then the babus will be done under a new cover with a very clear link to the original.
Hopefully this clears up the process!
