||Personality||Balthier is very high maintenance, high class and willing to cut a few down to get what he wants. While not particularly aggressive or violent, no one challenges him without paying the price. To his crew and family however, he's seen as a very generous boy who is constantly feeding the needy and going out of his way for others. After all, his friends deserve the absolute best.
He's almost always smiling, a sly and mysterious grin wit his paws pressed against each other in thought. He's fair, a bit twisted, brave and naturally craves adventure and has an unbreakable spirit.
||Occupation||He earned the name Skystar because well... Balthier is a sky pirate! With his rich family history, he got a loan from his grandfather and used it to build an airship! Much a like a blimp (but much faster), it flies through the air and also possesses the ability to hover and anchor onto the ground below.
Like sea pirates, he and his crew rob and scavenge through castles, tombs, ancient cursed islands and so on. Rarely will he rob other pirates as he likes to keep his slate clean with others. He makes most of his wealth returning stolen treasures and family heirlooms.
||History||Little Leon Lavender Addison was born into a family of great wealth, power and privilege as the land they ruled provided them with rich food and game. The shining rivers were swollen with fish, the forest ripe with fruit and insects of all kind. The fields were flattened out to make homes and farmland at the foot of the castle where they lived. It was a simple life filled with love and light; but it was all for not.
When Leon was about twelve, his parents died on a journey to a neighboring kingdom, killed by assasins hired by unknown origins. With that, the city was attacked and the young prince had no way to defend his kingdom. Escaping during a mass raid, his village was captured and set under new rule in a matter of days.
Leon was at a loss, traveling with a small group for days until the pack of kalons was attacked. Robbers came from every direction, nabbing bags of food, water and going right for the crown on Leon's head. With a swift movement, he drew his sword and cut the fur off his toes; stopping the bandit in his place.
Surprised, he began to interact with these thieves and rose slowly in power, skill and rank as the years passed. He's only here today thanks to fate and his skills with a sword; thanks to his boring fencing classes as a prince. Changing his name, his face and his very being, the young kalon swore to rob those who stole his riches until breath no longer entered his lungs.
Friends/Crew/EnemiesEmerson was a thief in his hay day and Balthier knew him as no other for the longest time. One of the thieves he knew as a young captain in training, Emerson has stayed in the back of his mind as a honorable man who gave up the life of crime for a family. Balthier admires his strong will and can always reply on him for safety. While the two don't keep in touch as often as they use to, they still enjoy the rare night out in moonlight.
