her mother and grandmother both practice frequently, so
she's always naturally been curious towards the idea of
learning about the practice and maybe, one day, becoming
as good as them.

several of her friends have asked her to knit them scarves
of their own after seeing the many attempts lying around
in her room, and since then she's become a sort of handy-
man for clothes. an accomplishment in its own way, sort of?

writing
wisteria is, contrary to her belief, not an awful writer. she
just only works well with specific genres. she has no inter-
est in nonfiction works or biographies or the like, but she
absolutely adores fantasy works, and descriptive essays are
a breeze for her when she's given the opportunity to create
her own story.

father;
• wisteria's relationship with her father is.. complicated.
while he's not awful or anything, she often feels like he
is not proud of her, or she's not doing something that would
help their relationship. still, she loves her dad, and she
couldnt imagine a life without him in it.

mother;
• wisteria dearly loves her mother, but only wishes she could
help her more and not feel so useless. her mother often toils
very hard and for hours a day, sewing and knitting and doing
whatever she can around the neighborhood. wisteria wishes
she would take a break once in awhile, but knows her mother
is only doing what she thinks she has to do.

grandmother;
• wisteria arguably has the closest and best relationship with
her grandmother. it doesnt feel suffocating or like a hassle to
share her opinions and vent to her and talking to her is generally
easy and doesnt stress her out. they have their spats on occasion,
but neither can stay mad at the other long, and long hug sessions
with cheesy christmas movies and hot cocoa follow.

story of the scarf

wisteria's scarf had been a birthday gift from her grandmother.
ever since she received it, wisteria has almost never gone any-
where without it, if she can help it. it's her favorite thing to
wear and the first thing she reaches for every the morning. to
her, it's like a good luck charm, and she doesnt like to travel
too far without it on her person.

the scarf originally belonged to her grandmother's mother, but
she has long since passed away. wanting to keep it within the
family, her grandmother gifted it to wisteria specifically. the
scarf has been in the family for as long as anyone can remem-
ber, and wisteria's grandmother would like to keep it that way,
it seems.

the scarf is old and worn by now, and tattered and frayed at the
edges, but wisteria loves it as if it were new. if she were to lose
her precious scarf, she wouldnt know what to do.

wisteria suspects it had been much worse for wear before she had
received it, but her grandmother had patched it up some before
giving it to her. either way, she appreciates the gift all the same.
