Oh, hi! Is this an interview? Okay, my name is Angela, and I'm a girl. Well, a lot of people mistake me to be a boy, but I don't really mind.

What is one adjective that most prominently describes this character's personality, and one adjective that is their opposite?
I've heard a lot of kalons call me sassy, but I disagree. I'm just right a lot- I can't help it! It's just how I am. I'm not a mean-sassy, that's for sure.
The opposite of my personality? I've never thought about it... I'd say... Boring. I'm never bored- especially because Chicago, where I live, is filled with adventures for me to go on. If you're my friend, you'll never find me boring because I'm always doing something.

If this character had to take three items with them onto a desert island, what would they be?
I'd take a magic genie. What? Nobody said they had to be real items! Then I could have three wishes. I'd wish for a zoo on the island. I'd also wish to be magic, and then I'd wish to have some friends to talk to.
Oh. It has to be realistic? Then I guess I'd take a boat, a paddle, and some food. That way, I could get off the island and back home. Who wants to live on an island forever?!

Ezekiel Dexter Adams [with the nickname “Zeke”] and male (he/him).

What is one adjective that most prominently describes this character's personality, and one adjective that is their opposite?
He is very calculating and never likes to make a decision without weighing all of the options and the benefits of each one. He isn’t careless at all and tends to tie up loose ends very well. Everything he does is planned efficiently from start to finish and there’s almost never an issue-- however if there is, Ezekiel solves it coolly and without panic.

If this character had to take three items with them onto a desert island, what would they be?
Probably the biggest box of matches that he could buy along with a water purifier and a fishing net. His fur keeps him from being burnt and he is very tolerant of heat so he will not require much shade if the island doesn’t have much foliage. Zeke is a smart and capable kalon but he isn’t very keen on exerting himself physically. A fish net would allow him to set up a trap and give him the possibility of catching many fish at once; it therefore supplies him with a relatively easy meal. He can tear open the fish with his claws and fashion a fire of sorts. The matches would be used to cook his meals– though supposing that this desert island is indeed all sand and no driftwood, this would be time consuming and difficult. Finally the water purifier would aid him in turning the water around him into nice, drinkable liquid to preventing dehydration.

Who is the most important person in this character's life?
There’s no one that he values more than himself but inflated self importance aside, Ezekiel appreciates a childhood friend of his named Annette. They met in primary school and though Zeke did not take to her they eventually developed a strange mutually beneficial friendship in which they looked out for each other and traded things such as books or study tips. There was an understanding between them that while neither of them particularly cared for the other that they would do all that is in their power to protect them from aggressors such as bullies from higher grades. In his younger years, Zeke was isolated and the victim of a fair amount of name-calling by peers. Annette stood up for him in those times just as he took her side whenever any others would try and play cruel jokes on her. They lost touch after secondary school but her memory has a fond place within his heart.

What's one quirk / habit that this character has that others would consider odd?
When he is overly frustrated and overwhelmed he will rock up onto the tip of his toes, jump from foot to foot, and sometimes whine gibberish as he flaps his hands. It’s a way for him to get rid of pent up energy quickly but it can startle some people that are not as well acquainted with him and his habits. He’s received criticism before on his stimming but has never stopped and may even do it more in spite, but no one can tell for sure.

What would this character describe their perfect day as?
A day spent alone in the comforts of his apartment. There would be no need to cook as he would have delicious leftovers to heat up and a tall glass of iced water with it. He could relax with a book for a while before working on a few challenging crossword puzzles from the newspaper. After a relaxing bath he’d retire to bed at approximately nine thirty with his rainmaker lulling him to sleep.

What is this character's opinion on dogs?
He finds them loud, messy, and somewhat annoying. While he views them as a nuisance he can appreciate others finding comfort in dogs in terms of a pet or therapy animal. He tends not to like animals at all because the upkeep is too much responsibility for a busied man. Any other being that requires daily attention would surely die in Ezekiel’s care. Even the cacti a co-worker bought him were severely under watered by the time he threw them out.

How likely is this character go out of their way for others?
Most of the time it is unlikely and depends on the amount of effort he must expend on them. If it is a simple thing that he can do without going too far out of his way he will do it with minimal complaint. However if it is a larger favor he tends to shy away from acceptance. For example, if he is asked to pick up something from the store while he is there he will oblige and simply ask for repayment. If he must cross town he is far less likely to do the favor. In these instances he doesn’t think of how he can benefit and rather focuses on how much energy he’ll have to exert for them.

What is their opinion on their family?
He is somewhat estranged from them because of his isolationist tendencies. He neither likes them nor dislikes them and rather tolerates them for visits. His parents mean well but don’t quite know how to handle Zeke’s habits in terms of introvertedness and stimming. They think of their son as odd but support him in everything.

If they had one wish, what would it be?
Probably to be more tolerant of others and have a more welcoming personality. Ezekiel unintentionally comes across as overly harsh; while he doesn’t care to be with others or form lasting bonds, a part of him wants to experience having such attachments even if it is only temporary.

What’s their greatest source of joy? Frustration?
His greatest source of joy is receiving validation for being right; Zeke adores how people look at him in amazement when he knows the answer to complex problems. However he is most frustrated by the weak minded, an example being people that absolutely refuse to learn or broaden their horizons. He has no respect for those that argue ignorantly and have the means to sharpen their mind. To him existence is worthless unless it is empowered by enriching studies and experiences.

Do they prefer lemonade, apple juice, milk, or water?
Water is the healthiest and therefore his top pick no matter the selection. He doesn’t like strong flavors like lemonade and apple juice, and milk just settles strangely in his stomach. While he is not confirmed to be lactose intolerant it does mess with the equilibrium of his stomach a bit.

What does this character believe their best/worst quality is?
He feels his worst quality is his inability to learn at a faster pace, he wants to further himself into something great but doesn’t have the time or energy as his body requires ample rest as well as nourishment. His best quality is his ability to comprehend complex issues with relative ease. It’s not hard for him to learn.

If they could change anything about their life what would it be?
His importance. While he is extremely intelligent and has the motivation to take on heavier projects from his work, his lab prevents him from moving higher up in rank and keep him at a lower level which frustrates him.

How would they change the world?
He wishes to make everything easier and smoother through the use of technology. Famine and disease disgusts him from a social view and he wishes that governments would take more steps towards furthering the human race and distributing resources.

What are they keeping a secret?
Ezekiel hides many of his tests and experiments. In his lab he is only allowed to test under other scientists with close supervision. When he can, he sneaks supplies home to conduct his own theories and hypothesis. If he were to be found out he would be promptly fired.
