⋙ Poem;; Beware the mare with the coat of two
for she may seem fair as of recent,
but her behavior proves that of shrew
in the place of decent.
With a core of ice and a shell cordial
she may appear very insightful,
but beneath the guise lies quarrel
and an intention that seems spiteful.
Without her game she is nothing,
just another pretty face,
yet with it she is disgusting,
a grotesque prize wrapped in lace.
If you're to happen upon the mare with another side
be sure to tread with caution
for thinking it will go with ease can go otherwise
when dancing with a toxin.

⋙ Personality;; Serafina - as her name hints - proves herself rather alike in the ways of a serpent. She's slick and vile beneath a charming exterior that fairs well with fooling the majority whom only glimpse her outer shell. Her true nature is the opposite of anything she happens to claim herself to be - a tactic she'd acquired and relied heavily upon after years of spinning her tall tales - and she's been known as quite a trickster; a manipulator of the minority intended only to see herself brought to the top of the food chain, but you would never anticipate the strike. She'd never hint at a slip of her intended purpose, and with good reason, for if she were to expose herself to loose lips, she'd be ruined. Her entire game that she has so strategically played until this point would crumble before her eyes and she'd have nothing left. So she remains vigilant over her tongue and the web of lies it spins, assuring nothing amiss will leak through her walls. Ruthless and without mercy, it's no wonder how she's managed to go so far in her lifetime, farther than any other equine her age. All for a legacy. Some imprint left on the ones she's had the fortune to cross paths with and con completely with her stratagem before slinking into the shadows once more; and that seems to be exactly what she has achieved.

⋙ Lore;; A tale passed through several generations, spoken only in a hushed tone provides a stern caution against a mysterious being depicted with two faces. One side will show that of an angel shrouded in a veil of pale gold, benevolent and solicitous of both nature and appearance while the opposing displays that of a demon sculpted from brimstone originating from hell itself, stoic in expression yet ever conniving. She is told to arrive with the thunder of an entire herd echoing behind her, despite being completely by her lonesome. The first glimpse one will receive of her is the pale azure of her eyes peering from within the thick of a fog, deciding upon her next victim. If selected, you will begin to note the faintest of glimpses of a silhouette lingering just barely within your peripheral vision, vanishing before you may cast away the fear she blossoms in your chest and gaze upon her fully. Your brain will become hazed and begin conducting your legs mechanically towards a desolate area. That is where she will lie in wait, and eventually strike. No one is truly sure as to where from there you go, as no one has ever returned from such a interaction, though it is rumored she induces the intended target through a portal connected directly to the depths of hell, where she will then capture the soul, not allowing egress of any sort. Whomever foolishly trailed after her shall rot within the underworld for the rest of eternity, not a trace of their existence remaining for any to stumble upon. Simply wiped from existence.

⋙ Short story;; One of Sera's earliest victims was The Commander himself - Imperator. It had begun simply as a routine ploy, an in and out operation during which she'd claim some poor, unsuspecting soul and steal them as her own. But, alas, something of more value caught her eye. The herd stallion and his coat of two. He looked - if vaguely - similar to her. This peculiar predicament peaked her interest, and so she shied from her intended duties to instead pursue the chimeric leader and pry him curiously for some answers. His sociable nature surely assisted in her receiving said answers without much effort being expressed on her part. Apparently they, along with select others, were of a interesting patterning known as "chimera". The news baffled Sera as she has suspected she had been the only victim of the two coat plague, thus she maintained a presence among the herd for a while longer that was of the norm, becoming acquainted with the stud and his kindly nature, upholding her sickly sweet persona the entirety of the time. After all, this was still a job, no matter how much she wanted to deny it.
Then came her leave, an unceremonious one at that. Imp had grown to enjoy her company, and thus was slightly upset at her announcing her departure, but he solemnly agreed that she must be off in order to continue her work, which she'd twisted in the slightest just to deter any suspicion. But she did not leave empty handed. Aside from the herd member she persuaded to follow after her, she was able to convince Imperator to hand over something rather precious. His first born. A little white lie trickled from her lips, telling of a great danger that sought after the stud that only she would be able to halt, but for the extreme price. Imp had refused immediately upon hearing the offer, declaring that his children would have wills of their own and he would not pawn them off like a piece of cheap jewelry, but soon word of the rapidly approaching threat reached the ears of the herd. Chaos ensued, and so Imp was convinced to accept the terms on the condition it was by his child's own will that they be mated to Serafina. That was acceptable enough to her, and so she was off to 'halt the great danger', returning years later to find a colt no older than a year awaiting her. His name was Champagne, and as it would turn out, his father had filled his head with wonderful tales of Serafina. He took to her instantly, and upon his third birthday they were mated.
