Mabel loves to go to her favorite pumpkin patch. She'll sit there, and admire the peaceful space around her. The smell of the pumpkins makes her relaxed, and it's in a non populated area which means it's quiet, and she can take in nature. She also has her child-hood tire swing there, so as she looks at the pumpkins, and nature in general, she'll swing on her swing and remember all the good times she had with her family when she was a kid. She could imagine her little self running through the pumpkins, and swinging on the little swing her dad put on the tree for her to play with. Overall, it's just nogalista for her, and she can remember it since the day she stepped foot in the pumpkin patch she loves.

Nellie's favorite place to be is quite an odd place. While hiking around the forest, she stumbled across this large tree, and it wasn't only tall, but it was also extremely wide. She decided to investigate this tree, it didn't seem that it had good branches to climb on. She walked in front of it, and was quite surprised on what she saw. A door and windows. Be a curious feline, she went up to the door, though as she walked up to it. She saw the door slightly cracked. Pushing it open, she peered inside. It was empty, and looked like it hadn't been touched for a long time. It was a home, owned by who know's who, some Pine Marten. Which was all she could tell by the image left on a stand. Though that was all that she could find of the old owner. Plus by the picture it was many years ago. The home was a neat sight, back in it's earlier days, it must have been absolutely gorgeous. Though it was unique, and she adores the antique furnishing. Though it definitely needed repairs. Nellie decided she liked it a lot and decided to start to work on it. Once she could find the time, and get away she'd go work on the house, repairing thing, polishing, dusting, mopping. You name it. The old home had become Nellie's favorite place. It was a get away really, from stress. It always relaxes her, and excites her. Since there is always something new to be found. She hasn't shown it to anyone one yet, and has decided to keep this hidden treasure to herself. Though hopefully one day she could bring someone special here, and maybe they'd actually be able to live in this house. Though Nellie has a lot more things in mind to fix it up, before moving in.

in the next town over, there’s a plaza- an outdoor mall, technically, where the atmosphere is just something different. a brick road, a rusty red beneath your feet. trees with sort of yellow-green leaves providing shade from the beating sun. flower beds never out of sight, a variety of warm-hued splashes of color. street lamps topped with clear orbs that give of a welcoming illumination as earth’s natural light begins to disappear over the horizon.

lined on each side of the street are shops tightly packed together, yet where one ends and the next begins is no mystery. each storefront unique, different in color and style- still they all looked like they belonged together, the seemingly mismatched shops.

and then, of course, there was the most important factor of it all: the people. parents with their children, hanging around the toy store to maybe buy a kite or a marionette. couples, young and old, joining each other at the teahouse. some furtopians always ordered the same drinks; others prefered to try a different flavor every time.

there were street performers, too. people who played with actual fire, juggling fiery objects or otherwise breathing the element itself- impressive, obviously, for any creature that didn’t naturally possess that ability. there were people who somehow propped themself off on unicycles taller than they were, and balanced so high in the air that the audience was always half terrified that the performer might fall.

musicians were common. lone artists, making change off of nothing more than a guitar and the strum of their own voice. more rarely were groups, two or three or four, each with their own respective instruments, going at it and creating the music for the surrounding area. somehow, no matter what anyone ever played, it gave an extra cozy feeling to the place.

a place filled with happy memories at every corner is typically a place well endeared. cleo too abides by this rule. they find themselves caught tight in the grasps of the mall, where they can recall so many joyful memories of old.

but while the past is filled with moments taking place here, what’s better is creating new experiences every visit. new knowledge, new people, new amazement. and for each time that cleo finds themself in the plaza, they find themselves donating to the street performers, or listening to an excited kid ramble about the sprinklers down the road that all the children played in, because that’s what they were for.

cleo still dances around in the fountains of water too, sometimes.

Cleo never grew up.

In one sentence, that’s who she is. To go into details though, she’s kind, she’s funny, she’s excitable. She gets emotional over little things, but bounces back to her cheery self with just a little bit of time. She likes to play and laugh and have fun, to do things that she enjoys- and she’ll be moody if she doesn’t get this, or anything else that she may have wanted. Cleo is a kid by nature, which comes with a number of ups and downs.

Meeting Cleo, it isn’t hard to see right through her. She’s happy-go-lucky, and only wants to have a good time. Being as this is, the air around her is always bright and glowing, bringing up the mood of everyone around her.

The surface water is clear. Reading Cleo is like reading an open book. She’s a forgiving furtopian, rarely holding a grudge. Holding something against someone, it only does to bring both people down, and never does Cleo wish for that to happen. Only under dire circumstances would she truly refuse to forgive someone. She’s honest, too, because lying does little but build up the issue.

Of course, she never has anything to lie about. She’s a genuine soul, pure and never out to cause harm. On her own, she couldn’t so much as hurt a fly. (Well, maybe- she does despise most bugs.) However, with the influence of someone else? That’s another story. Cleo is easily swayed, she has an issue with falling into peer pressure. Logically, she knows not to accept it, but somehow she always finds herself making decisions based on what others want her to do.

Which leads into how helpful the cat is, even if she doesn’t necessarily mean to be. She isn’t out on some mission to help every person she can, but Cleo does enjoy doing little tasks and such if it means seeing someone’s face light up because of it!

Cleo is, as cats are known for being, very curious, almost to the point of being nosy at times. She always wants to know what’s up, even if it isn’t any of her business. She won’t force it of course; If the person doesn’t want to tell her, she won’t argue.

She likes to explore new places, as this usually related to her curiosity. A place she’s never been before is exciting. New sights, new people, new activities. Cleo sets foot outside and already she’s disappeared, hyping herself up for some new adventure. If she didn’t ever have to go home, she wouldn’t.

On the flip side of things, where the sky is grayer, Cleo can be somewhat of a poor sport. She’s not very competitive, but even so she can find herself upset when she loses some sort of game or bet. She is, naturally, a pretty emotional person. It doesn’t always take much to upset her, either saddening or angering her. Fortunately, a simple apologize will usually fix things- otherwise, she’ll get over within a day!

Cleo is a very passionate kid, she lives life to the fullest and makes sure to smile her brightest everyday. She’s almost too peppy, but a lot of people like this in her. She carries an air of innocence and wonder with her no matter where she is, she’s a kid with an everlasting sense of freedom and lack of responsibility- for better or for worse.

♡ sun ;; it’s warm and cheery and it keeps the earth going ♡
♡ sweets ;; no explanation needed, sweets are just really
good! cleo particularly likes anything with coconut shavings,
and she has a thing for chocolate covered croissants. when
she was around fourteen, she learned that coffee creamer is
actually delicious, so while she doesn’t like coffee (it’s abs-
olutely horrid), she keeps creamer around at all times. she
loves it in milk, but will put in all sorts of things- hot choc-
olate, or oatmeal even. it makes everything better.
♡ music ;; a quiet backtrack always makes life a little
more... lively. or if she’s upset, some good music always puts
some pep into her.
♡ goldfish !! ;; fish in general are nice, and cleo likes all sorts!
but goldfish are just cute and small and simple. also, their
cracker variants are tasty. very important.
♡ cheese ;; mm cheese (but not that spray stuff >:v)
♡ bumblebees ;; while normal bees she couldn’t care less about,
bumblebees are sweet and fuzzy, and if weren’t for them,
there’s be no flowers. they’re also incredibly friendly, unlike a
lot of similar bugs- wasps and hornets and the like.

ｄｉｓｌｉｋｅｓ ;;
✗ thunder ;; since she was little, loud noises have always been
an enemy to cleo. the worst of it all? thunder, without a
doubt. it’s a great fear of hers and she always wants to hide
under the bed when a storm comes rolling in. (but she’ll admit,
the lightning part of it is pretty cool.)
✗ moths ;; moths are just ugly butterflies that eat holes in
clothing. they’re pests, and she doesn’t understand why
they exist.
✗ spiders ;; spiders have never done anything wrong. except bite
people and poison them. okay, most spiders haven’t ever
hurt anyone. cleo hates them anyway.

cleo has been called a tomboy before, and in some instances she’s even been mistaken for a boy- of course, she’s never bothered by this, as half the time she prefers male pronouns anyway.

in reality, she’s not so much a tomboy as much as she just doesn’t like to fuss about the way she looks, and she’d rather be comfortable than cute.


▪ clothing style : casual ;; cleo dresses pretty casually, most often with a t-shirt or tank top paired with shorts. when it’s colder out, she’ll wear a coat, but still has a habit of only wearing shorts. she claims she’s fine that way. in any formal situation, she’s likely to a short dress, one that’s not particularly form-fitting. one thing to note is that she despises wearing more than one layer of clothing, because more often than not it’s uncomfortable.

▪ accessories : none ;; although she’ll wear bracelets if they were gifted to her, cleo doesn’t care much for jewelry. sometimes she can barely remember to change into day clothes, much less put on a bunch of excess sparkly things.

she does sometimes wear a beret, which is sort of an accessory. they’re cute and they look good on her and she likes to pretend she’s a french painter.

▪ makeup : none ;; cleo has the artistry skill of a frog, which translates into her makeup skills. but even if she were good at it, it’s too time consuming for someone who’s totally comfortable going out bare-faced.

▪ hairstyle : manageable ;; honestly, cleo can’t put up with too much hair. thus, she just keeps it short and brushes it out of her eyes and calls it a day.

▪ morning person ;; not by choice, however. cleo wakes up at 6am sharp every day, and it’s been like this for a while. she has no idea why, but it’s no longer annoying at least. actually, it’s really convenient- she never needs to set her alarm!
▪ school mascot ;; she tried out to be the school mascot because it looked fun. she passed!! by some miracle, she got in, despite having no idea what she was doing. nowadays, she’s pretty good at what she does, and she loves jump starting the crowd at school sports games.
▪ angry cries ;; being as emotional as she is, it’s not greatly uncommon for cleo to tear up. however, she’s more likely to cry because she’s mad than because she’s sad. she hates it too, wishes she could stop- but it’s part of who she is, so at the very least, she accepts it more than she used to.
▪ loves children ;; she’s basically one herself, so it’s no surprise that cleo gets along really well with kids- ands he loves em too!
