Iyo

Postby CXIV » Mon Jan 23, 2017 8:43 am

username; oxy.
name; Iyo (pronounced eeyo) | gender; Male
age; Iyo doesn't know his age. He forgot about it, along with his birthday.

his hobby; Iyo loves to fish and swim. Swimming is just one thing that he will
always do, no matter what. Since his tail has a fin on the end, it enables him to
swim swiftly through water. Fishing is a different story. He either fishes using a
fishing rod or just dives straight into the water to catch fish. When he uses his
rod, which isn't often, he normally has a strategy in case he isn't paying
attention, falls asleep, or gets distracted from his task. If he falls asleep or if
he's daydreaming, Iyo has a small bell set on the rod that jingles if a fish bits
the bait. If he gets distracted, then it's just his own loss. One thing to note is
that he does indeed eat the fish he catches. The only exception to this is if he
is just fishing for fun and not trying to hunt for food. "But why fishing of all things?"
I hear you asking. Due to his tail, it makes him feel more like a predator and a
real shark. Since sharks are near the top of the ocean food chain, he finds it only
makes sense to do what he does. But then again, he always wonders what would
happen if his tail was that of a fish who is often prey.

personality; Iyo is very temperamental, which makes it extremely difficult to
talk to him without ending up with an angry dragon pup. Most of the time when
he is talking, he comes across as rather rude or arrogant, but there's a deeper
meaning behind all of his. He is lonely, due to his lack of social skills, and is
very vulnerable if he thinks he is alone. It makes him seem really pathetic,
which just makes it even worse. Since he doesn't have any friends that really
look out for him or are there for him, he just doesn't trust anyone. He wouldn't
know if they left him because of his looks, attitude, or his hobbies. Thus, it is
very hard for him to communicate to someone he has/had a close bond with.

backstory; Iyo was born with a shark tail, making others see him as a "mixed up
freak." They always excluded him, just because he was different. His
parents didn't know what to do with him, as everyone also insulted the whole
entire family because of Iyo. Since no one besides his parents would hang
around with him, Iyo has developed a very unsociable personality. After a
couple years of the constant insults, his parents had abandoned him. They
may regret doing so, but it is unclear if they did it because they didn't want
Iyo, didn't want to be insulted because of Iyo, or if they could not take care
of him anymore. Since then, Iyo has been living on his own wherever he can
find a place away from society. He had stumbled upon a lake on a hot day
and decided to swim. He saw a couple fish swimming around him, and tried
to catch them. He successfully caught one, and he soon realized he loved to
fish and swim. This has brought more negativity, however, as whenever he
catches the fish he would have to kill them on the spot to eat them. This has
had lots of misinterpretations that Iyo is a bully, by hurting others. Some have
even faked their injuries just to get more blame and hate on Iyo. But, to this day,
Iyo tries his best to ignore them... by residing in the lake where no one would
dare go into for the fear of becoming a victim of an innocent dragon pup.

name; Dylan | gender; Demi-male | sexuality Homosexual

hobby; Dylan loves to craft swords and weapons,
and with his free time he actually crafts steel statues to
display in his living room.

backstory; As a baby pup, he was very
discriminated due to his looks, often being called
a "hybrid gone wrong", or a "poor excuse for a son"
by his friends and parents. They thought they did
something wrong and the poor puppy was left out
of everything, just for having different genetics.

His parents forced him to swim, since he had a
shark tail, but he hated swimming. The thought
of being in a what seemed endless substance that
forced you to hold your breath made him shiver.

Growing up he always sat alone playing with his favorite
toy, a red and gray striped ball his best friend gave to him
on his birthday a few years back. It was his comfort item.
He'd often play with it with his best friend, and the pup
who gave it to him, Mok, an Australian Shepherd.
Mok teached Dylan how to craft, giving him a new hobby.
He also boosted Dylan's self esteem, convincing him he
was the best pup that ever lived.

⚓ { ~> Fri,, The One with the Fish Tale <~ } ⚓

┌────────────┐
Username; Bellidan4234
Name; Fishel, but he hates
that name and instead likes to
be called Fri.
Gender; Male

└────────────┘
<~▲~>

His Hobby; Fri loves to walk down to the beach with a bag of old glass bottles, pens, and paper. He enjoys the sea breeze and sound of the ocean and with the materials, he sits down to write.

Sometimes he writes fantastical stories of captains or pirates seeking land or treasure while sailing and exploring the oceans. He longs for a fantasy adventure like the ones he paints in his stories, so they tend to be overly unbelievable plots that would never happen, but he wishes they could.

Other times, Fri writes messages to no one in particular, writing such sweet compliments that it would make it seem like he is their secret admirer. He writes optimistic poems with beautiful themes about life he hopes to one day share to the world, but for now, he keeps them secret for the most part.

But most commonly, Fri likes writing about his own personal life or thoughts or feelings--whatever is on his mind when he decides to go down to the beach.

He takes these finished, written works and curls them up carefully into miniature scrolls and places them within the bottles he brings along with him. Then, one by one, Fri places bottles on his tail which his flicks towards the ocean, scattering the messages. Before leaving the beach, he stands there a moment gazing off into the water, silently hoping someone finds the messages and dreaming of their reaction when they read its contents.

    > Hello there, I am so happy you have found my note! I was afraid that no one would ever read it, but now I am reassured, as you are reading it right now.

Who am I? Well, all the details don't particularly matter all that much, do they? There is little probability that we'll ever meet or even have a chance to meet. I live down around Angel Cove, though, if you're curious. You can find me on the beaches by the rocks, because I love going there to write more of these "messages in bottles" kinds of things. So if you know where that is, maybe you can look for me, if you want. I totally understand if you can't or don't, too. I don't really mind being alone, so it's all right with me.

But I bet you still have questions. I'm sure you're wondering what am I like? Am I smart and witty, cool and comedic, kind and thoughtful, hidden and strange? Well, sorry to disappoint you, but I'm not completely sure myself. I'm only 17, after all. You expect me to know everything about myself? That's an absurd notion. Plus, I'm not really good at writing all of my jumbled thoughts down in a clear manner. I kind of just write what comes to my brain and stick with it. So don't expect a perfect response.

However, I'll admit I do know somethings about my personality. I am somewhat introverted, as I tend to enjoy introverted activities more than extroverted ones, but I don't mind social situations at all. I like talking to others, I just don't choose to do it often, if that makes any sense at all to you.

Also, I'm pretty impulsive. I used to like sticking to a plan, but now I'm the opposite. I guess all the time I've spent by the ocean has changed me, because my impulsiveness was really inspired by the waves. The waves of the ocean have patterns depending on the location of the moon and the wind speed and its direction, but even so, they're still unique and reckless each time, crashing into the sand and pulling away hundreds of shells into the deep blue. I want to be a force of nature like that, going where life takes me but still succeeding wherever I end up.

In addition, I know I am pretty curious, too. When I'm writing, my mind often drifts off and I start wondering about some really odd ideas like what would my life be like if I had a normal tail and not a shark tail (Oh yeah, forgot to mention that bit). And I know I like to be optimistic and look for the good in people. But other than that, I'm not too sure. Am I funny? Hard-working? Lazy? Intelligent? Do I have a strong will or am I too flexible? Am I succeeding so far, or am I on the brink of failure? I'd like to think I'm doing just fine and I have a good sense of morals, but I know sometimes I don't really do what's right. Does that make me a bad person or am I just scared? I don't really know yet. I can't really tell you my biggest strengths or weaknesses, but I can tell you that I'm still proud of who I am and the type of person I try to be.

Thanks for listening, even though you don't know me. That's really nice of you.

        > Did you know?

I have a weird name. I mean WEIRD. My name is Fishel. Odd, right? Well, it means "little fish."
        Though there's no surprise there.

The meaning isn't hard to wrap your brain around. I was born with a shark tail.
Before I knew how different I was from the others around me, I didn't mind this name. But I soon realized I was named solely after my difference in appearance. Now, I guess you could see this as a cool thing, I mean after all I am fascinated with my tail rather than bothered by how different I am with everyone else. But I find it somewhat insulting. I don't want to be known solely for my looks and how different I appear to be compared to someone else. want to be remembered for my accomplishments.

That's why now I go by the name Fri. Simple and easy to catch onto, and isn't too odd or directing attention to my tail. So anyone who meets me won't remember me for my name or my tail, but who I am as a person.

      > My tail is different, but not too different. The only difference really is its shape. My tail is like a fluffy shark tail, a shark tail made out of fur rather than shark skin. I like that I'm unique, though I don't think I'm better than anyone else. I just feel lucky to have a tail so special.

Even better, I can still get along pretty well with others. Some can't see past my tail to actually try to learn who I am as an individual, but most people are accepting and are interested in my tail, too. Of course, some of the others are a little too invasive and are only interested in me because I'm different, so they give me a special treatment. All I want is to be treated like everyone else. I just think it's unfair to the others around me who aren't as lucky to have such an odd genetic mutation. But by now, I'm pretty used to everyone around me, so it doesn't bother me as much, no matter if people hate me or like me only for my uniqueness.

But despite what anyone may say to deter me from liking my tail, I can't help but be fascinated by it. Of course, even with my tail I'm not much of a swimmer, but no one seems to realize that. But I think it's pretty intriguing to be the only one I know who has a tail like this. I know some have different wings, more fur, shorter/longer tails, or who knows what else, but I'm the only one with a shark tail. Plus, there's no doubt that it looks pretty awesome. I really like staring at it or swishing it back and forth around in the air. It's also curious to think about how I ended up with this tail, too, which always makes me stop to pause and contemplate it.

Somehow, I just end up thinking about my tail and just liking it more, even if no one else can truly understand the fascination I hold for it.

              What would I do,
              if given the choice,
to be there with you always
              but give up my voice

              I'd choose you every time,
              just like the little mermaid.
              Without reason nor rhyme--
              You make me happy, unafraid

              I'll admit I don't know you,
              I'll admit we've never met,
but I know you'd come through
together we'd make a perfect duet.

{I hope if there's someone you love,
              they'll love you like this.
              Because all that anyone deserves
              is a true love's kiss.}

        > I really love the beach.

Ever since my parents brought me here, I've fallen in love. Now I can't seem to stay away from it.
Why do I gravitate towards here, though?
My parents only brought me here because they thought I might "fit in" better with water, but that's not why I love this place. I'm actually a little afraid of water, to be honest. After all, I'm not the best swimmer. But whether or not I like to go in the water when I'm on the beach is a moot point. I still love the look of the crystal clear waves. I still love all the sounds--the wind, the gulls, the waves crashing constantly along the shore. I love the beach sunrise and the beach sunset, where the water and clouds are both purple. I love the feel of the cool water between my paws.

For some reason, I love everything about it. I wish I understood why. I think it just calms me more than any other place could. It just feels like the place I should go to clear my head and just think and write. I just feel better when I'm there. I'm not sure how to explain it, but I hope that does pretty well.
