recipe;; mug cake
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup white sugar
- 2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/8 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
- 3 tablespoons milk
- 2 tablespoons canola oil
- 1 tablespoon water
- 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
instructions wrote:Mix flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt in a microwave-safe mug; stir in milk, canola oil, water, and vanilla extract.
Cook in microwave until cake is done in the middle, about 1 minute 45 seconds.
extras;; Since Mason is allergic to peanuts, he misses out on a lot of scrumptious desserts his friends often bring along as snacks. From Reese's to Skippy, Mason can't help but feel left out when his friends take a bite. Mason's favourite dessert would have to be mug cakes. Not only are they peanut-free, but also fairly easy to bake. The taste of the rich chocolate isn't anything to joke about, either! Mug cakes are more or less Mason's comfort food, and without this delectable treat, he probably wouldn't be as joyful as he usually is.

Waffle Cones wrote:Ingredients;;2/3 cup all-purpose flour
1/4 tsp. salt
2 eggs
1/2 cup sugar
4 Tbs. (1/2 stick) unsalted butter, melted
1/4 cup milk
Directions;;Preheat a waffle-cone maker according to the manufacturer's instructions. Start with heat setting #3 and adjust as necessary, depending on the desired degree of brownness.
In a small bowl, sift together the flour and salt. Set aside.
In a bowl, whisk together the eggs and sugar until the sugar is incorporated and the eggs have lightened in color, about 1 minute. Add the flour mixture and stir until incorporated. Add the butter and milk and stir just until combined.
Spoon a scant 1/4 cup batter onto the waffle-cone maker. Using a small offset spatula, spread the batter evenly over the surface. Close the lid and cook for at least 1 minute before lifting the lid to check for doneness. Continue cooking until the desired color is reached, 1 1/2 to 2 minutes total on heat setting #4.
Quickly remove the waffle from the waffle-cone maker and shape it around the cone roller (included with the waffle-cone maker). Hold the cone for a few seconds to set its shape. Set the cone on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
Repeat with the remaining batter. Makes about 10 cones.

Ice Cream wrote:Ingredients;;3/4 cup white sugar
1 cup heavy whipping cream
2 1/4 cups milk
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
Directions;;Stir sugar, cream, and milk into a saucepan over low heat until sugar has dissolved. Heat just until mix is hot and a small ring of foam appears around the edge.
Transfer cream mixture to a pourable container such as a large measuring cup. Stir in vanilla extract and chill mix thoroughly, at least 2 hours. (Overnight is best.)
Pour cold ice cream mix into an ice cream maker, turn on the machine, and churn according to manufacturer's directions, 20 to 25 minutes.
When ice cream is softly frozen, serve immediately or place a piece of plastic wrap directly on the ice cream and place in freezer to ripen, 2 to 3 hours.
