Second Chance Shelter is a dog and cat rescue where you can come to find a new member of your family. We rescue and rehabilitate dogs and cats of all shapes and sizes so they may have the chance to be placed into a caring home. All of our animals are special and deserve a chance to be happy with an owner that will care for them. The question is: are you ready to love them?

These two are Cornish Rex siblings, they were given aways because their first owner turned out to be heavily allergic and Cornish Rex cats, contrary to common belief, are not hypoallergenic. They are both sweethearts, even though Maxwell, the right one can be a bit cocky at times. His sibling seems to be on the playful side; they seem to enjoy music..

The chocolate spotted boy (#165) is my artist custom Maxwell. (I was originally going to enter his design into the competition). I'll post both of them on separate images below and put Maxwells info under his as well. The lilac beauty (#164) belongs to SpeednGrace

How do they like to pass the time?

~ Lilac starts arguments between others when she's bored. She just loves to see others fight over "stupid little" things. Another thing she does is plotting her "enemies" "demise". Well, it's more like plotting revenge on others to make them pay. She uses her manipulative nature to do so.

How do they cope with anger?

~ Lilac, like in the song, starts off calm and tries to figure out what happened to cause the argument/make her angry. She then starts to get angrier while detailing all the facts. Eventually, she becomes even anger and seems to lose all her patience and starts breaking down and snapping out angrily. She then will ignore and keep away from whatever caused the argument.

How are they around other cats?

Castle - Halsey
~ Lilac thinks she's the queen over everyone else and do what she wishes. Continually bossing them around. She enjoys bossing people around and can be snarky towards them. She will do whatever to be at the top of the "food chain". She has a sharp tongue and can be mean to others. She generally doesn't care too much for other cats and can be cold. She puts on a sweetheart act towards humans. Around humans she is sweet and playful but around cats she's the complete opposite.

About:
Maxwell is quite the character; eccentric, lovable and always very sophisticated
he is the kind of personality that couldn't possibly be anything else than a cat,
except maybe a member of victorian nobility. He's the kind order to his human around
at times and loves to intrigue against cats he can't stand, he's quite cooperative though
and loves to play and go for extensive hunts outside. Maxwell detests any plastic cat toys
and regards them with disdain, but give him some upbeat music or a ball of feathers and
he's gone. He likes to hang around with people and silently enjoy their company, he's also
quite vocal, but in a very tasteful manner; Maxwell won't just meow at anything.
If he does however, it's precious and bound to make you his slave forever.

How do they like to pass the time? Swatting at anything that moves, pouncing about and chasing tails - hers and otherwise. She also has a funny habit of hiding socks. Call it a quirk, but her previous owners constantly found themselves sock-deficient and, if they went looking, would find their stolen goods tucked away under a chair or behind the couch.
How do they cope with anger? Not well, lemme tell you. She gets skittish both in response to others' anger and her own. In fight or flight situations, she's all flight and no fight.
How are they around other cats? Most of Spock's socialization has been with her brother, so she tries to approach other cats with the same familiarity that she does her brother. Whether it's well-received or not is a coin toss, but somehow she hasn't developed hostility towards new cats.
