Username:Diamond Sapphire
Name:Thorn
Gender:Male
Collar Color:Green
Personality:Thorn doesn't follow the rules, and likes to go by his own rules, and follow his heart. He's not bad, he just doesn't like being put with a set of words that he has to follow all day around. Why can't he do this? Why can't he do that? Rules, rules rules. Thorn likes his freedom, and doesn't like to be expected to obey others words. He prefers to do what his heart tells him to do instead of the strict rules that he has to live many, many years by. He wants to enjoy life, since he only has so long to be in this world. But the thing is, Thorn has his own little fantasy world where he can go off too when he's not feeling that happy. It's a work of art from his imagination. Thorn's actually fairly creative actually, always wanting to express his ideas to others, but only if there arent... rules. Like explained before, he hates rules. Thorn though is actually really nice, only if your like him though. He cares about his family and friends, and will use the cost of his life to save them.
Backstory:"Ma..mama?" The tiny pup, Thorn, yipped. He was shivering from the rain that was pouring down from the sky, and the cold, city streets weren't helping either. Thorn nudged his mother, who was laying with the rest of his littermates in a dark, shadowy alleyway. His mother turned around, and she wore a small smile. "Yes darling?" She asked weakily. "I'm cold..." Thorn complained. His mother replied with a sigh. "There's nothing I can do, I'm sorry." She barked softly. Thorn whined, but didn't say anything. He backed away and sat down, looking out of the alleyway. Humans were everywhere, but not one noticed the small dog family. Thorn glanced back at his weak, thin family members.
One day I'll grow into a strong dog, and I'll make them proud.Hours later the rain finally cleared up. His family was sleeping soundly, but Thorn decided to explore the city streets. He cautiously stepped out of the dark alleyway and into the streets. All he could hear was the loud chattering of humans, and the rumbling of strange machines. People walked by the little puppy, but they didn't seem to see the helpless animal. Thorn sighed and walked along the streets, careful not to get stepped on. The odd, rancid smell coming from the machines made him think twice about exploring the city, but he shook his head and went on. Through the loud sounds of the humans and their machines, Thorn could hear the constant chirps of birds. Thorn looked up at the sky. Humans and structures blocked most of his view, but he could see the figures of birds soaring swiftly through the gray sky.
Do humans not like there world? It looks disgusting! Thorn thought, annoyed. He shook his head again and started to continue walking.
It was getting late.
Very late. The sun was starting to set, and strange, very skinny structures had light coming from them. Thorn didn't know how long he had been out here. His mother must be worried sick!
It's time to go home... He thought. As he started to make his way back to his family, he realized something terrible.
How am I suppose to go home? I can't remember where it is! Thorn thought, wearing a worried look on his face. He tried sniffing around, seeing if he could follow his scent back home, but the smell of the city was too strong, and he wasn't able to pick it up. Thorn whined loudly, hoping to get someone's attention. After moments of loud whines and barks, he gave up.
It's no use.. He thought with a sigh. He needed to live by himself now.. somehow. Suddenly, a large dog appeared right in front of the scared puppy. Thorn backed up in surprise, almost falling over. "Don't be afraid kiddo." The dog barked. Thorn nodded, his whole body trembling. "Who.. who are yo.. you?" He stammered in fear. "I mean, it's not like you really need to know it." The other dog replied. Thorn nodded, still unsure about how he should feel about this strange dog. "Away from home huh? Well, c'mon kiddo, follow me." The dog signaled with his tail to a small pile of dirty, teared up blankets. Thorn didn't know to if he should accept or not, but he nodded. He was desperate to live, and hoped that he could trust this other dog.
Thorn woke up and yawned. He turned his head and saw the large dog still asleep beside him. It had been a few months since One, what the other dog tells Thorn to call him even though it's not his actual name, and he had survived pretty well. One had shown Thorn how to hunt the city birds and rodents, and taught him how to protect himself from danger. Thorn had grown over the several months, and now was a couple times his size from before. Thorn got up but One had started to wake up. One looked up at Thorn, then looked at his paws. "You'll be gone soon..." One mumbled. "What?" Thorn asked shocked. "Some humans will take you to find a nice home, and I'm surprised they haven't came yet." He explained. "Oh." Thorn barked softly in reply. He didn't like the idea of humans keeping him forever. "You'll come with me, ri.. right?" He asked. One shook his head. "Sorry kiddo. After you go, I have to do the same with other dogs that were like you." One replied, not bothering to look at Thorn. "Why though?" Thorn barked. "Well, it's kinda so I can return a favor to Ten, a dog that helped me when I was like you. I wanted to be like him, and here I am now." One explained, getting slightly annoyed by all the questions.
What's up with all the number names? Thorn thought. He shook the thought out of his head and turned to face One. One ignored him and walked away, looking at the sun. Thorn watched him, sighing. "There they are." He could hear One mumble. Moments later a group of humans came and took Thorn away. Thorn barked, trying to get One's help, but he had vanished.
I'll never forget him though... he saved my life.Theme Song:Wild Things-Alessia Cara(This may change if I find a song that suits him better)
Favourite Toy:Thorn actually doesn't have many toys, since he'd rather be going on a walk outside instead (If he doesn't have a leash on. He hates those things since he feels trapped when he has one on) but if he had to choose it'd be his
beaver toy. He loves how soft it is, and quite likes cuddling with it actually. The tail is half ripped (But sewn at the end) since he got it a while ago, and loves playing with it. Thorn has a strange obsession with throwing it around, then leaving it for a few moments before coming back and doing the exact thing. It's odd, but he loves doing it. Maybe he throws it, gets bored, goes off, misses his toy and comes back and does it again, or maybe it's just some sort of "game" he plays with his beaver plush. We may never know.

Possible WIP?
