Lovell's POV
It had been a long day for me, and it felt good to finally get inside. The warmth of the ski lodge welcomed me as I opened the double doors into the lobby, and I happily accepted it. As I went to take a seat at the bar, a pair of loving eyes the color of the sunrise caught my attention. Realizing she saw me, I quickly averted my gaze and took my seat. For some reason I couldn't get the girl out of my head. Those eyes continued to haunt me in my dreams, and I knew I had to find out who she was.

Siena's POV
Not wanting to go outside today, I begged my friend, Maria, to stay with me in the lodge. She agreed after a good bit of me pleading, though she didn't seem too happy about it. To cheer her up, I bought a song from the old jukebox in the corner, and as soon as it started playing, we both busted out in laughter. Nearly choking to death, I stopped laughing when I noticed someone staring at me from the bar. Something about him felt familiar and comforting, yet I couldn't put my paw on what it was. The strange moment was soon broken when Maria fell out of her seat and toppled onto the floor. That night the only thing that entered my mind was the experience I had in the lobby. It felt as if that boy left an imprint on me, since the only thing I could ever think of was his face.

Lovell's POV
I sighed as I stepped out into the snow, my breath climbing into the air in a thin mist. The freezing night air dragged its claws against me, but I just needed to clear my mind of that beautiful angel from earlier.
However, almost as soon as I took my first steps outdoors, I saw her. Her beautiful gaze was focused on the slopes, seemingly deep in thought. I considered calling out, but decided against it,not wanting to disturb her.

Siena's POV
The icy wind ruffled my fur and pierced my skin, but I honestly couldn't care less. I shuffled my paws against the snow-covered ground as I thought about the kalon from earlier. My heart fluttered with every moment I recalled, yearning to actually meet him.
As soon as my eyes refocused, though, I saw my chance. He was standing only about 20 feet away, staring off into the sky at the simmering stars. I began padding over, legs shaky, though I hoped he would believe it was just from the cold.
"Oh, uh... Hello," I nervously spoke, avoiding eye contact as much as possible.
"Oh... h-hi," he answered briefly, glancing upward.
There was a long pause, both of us awkwardly looking off to the side, but he finally broke it.
"I saw you at the lodge earlier and uh, well... I think you're pretty, well, pretty."
I blushed madly in response, eyes widening as I registered exactly what he'd said.
"Well, uh, I feel the same way..." I murmured in response.
"I'm Lovell."
"Siena."
We chatted for the rest of the night, laughing and grinning in love-filled joy. Finally, when the sun began to come up and its rays shined against the crystalline snow, he leaned in a gently pecked me on the lips.
From then on, we've been a couple and, though the distance between our homes is relatively large, we write letters as often as possible to keep our spark alive and well.

Siena rushed inside of her apartment and quickly closed the door behind her. Hugged tightly to her body was a small bundle of letters, though there was only one she cared deeply about. She took a seat in an empty chair and looked through the letters, searching for his handwriting. Siena could feel her heart flutter as she gazed upon the wrinkled envelope and paused for a moment. Lovell's familiar musk was still attached to it. Siena could feel a smile form on her face while carefully opening it.

That night, Siena sat in her bedroom with multiple pieces of paper and a pen. The young lady could be heard scribbling away and crumbling up paper before tossing it in the bin. On her table lay a neat stack of letters, each written by the same kalon. Lovell.

Congrats! Lady and I both agreed that you two would be the winners! Thank you to anyone else who tried out, hnn.


Edit - I feel the need to clarify a few things, because some people seem rather disgruntled about the results. ;o; I'm sorry that was so short, but at the time I was really upset and just wanted to get the post over and done with.

But anyway, I'd like to assure people that the judging wasn't bias in the slightest. The sexuality of the characters plays absolutely no part in the judging, all I look for is good character development. Everyone looks for different things in judging, and who people believe the winner should be varies from person to person. Just because I didn't pick a form with a gay couple in it doesn't mean I'm homophobic. I"D I don't know why I'm having to explain that? It's pretty apparent that I'm not if you take one look at my characters or previous adopts I've judged. And for those of you that believe Lady was bias - I can also say that she wasn't. She wasn't even the first to suggest the from that won, I did. She provided comments on all the forms, and none of them hinted at any bias.
