Story:
I had just brought home a large calf. Not so Frail, and quite noisy, she is a silly calf. Her moo's loud, as she pranced in the field where the grass is up to her belly, and the flowers tickle her nose. She looked at me cautiously, not even looking and bit into a large yellow dandelion tuff. Oh, I could tell she was a sassy cow, and got up to get her before she got into anything bad. As soon as I stood up she stopped. Walking closer she soon bellowed out a large moo for her size and pranced away. After a large sigh, I started to topple over the tall green grass to get her.
Hours of playing and running with her and I lost her, couldn't believe it. First day, and she poofed. I had searched high and low, the fence was up, no where for her to go. the light from the sun had dimmed, my face was burned a dark red, I got out a flashlight and headed back out. Nearing the barn I heard a loud Meow, sounded like one of the many strays that hangout around the house. I peeked in, lights on, the smell of hay hit me as I walked in. "Meow", a large purr echoed off the walls. I looked around at my other Buttermilks, both turned to the end of the large barn. And there I saw a little tail peaking out at the end. Oh so she found her way into the barn.. it was good to know she wasn't into n anything she be. Walking down the hall the purring was getting quite loud. In the last stall I saw something I didn't expect to see. Fae curled up with a newly mothered stray. I giggled the stripes of Fae made her fit in well with the tabby and calico kittens. My heart warned as the mother meowed at me and leaned close to the calf to clean her.
The cat, now a happy part of our family, is named Starrie, her kittens grew up with Fae, as she visited them and played with them as they grew, and as they grew older it wasn't uncommon to see them all nestled up with the big cow sleeping. Fae a big goofy cow still hides sometimes, but can always find her if I follow the meowing.
