best gift they ever received (300 word limit);; Ever since Theo was young, he had very bad eyesight. One of the best gifts he ever got was when his father surprised him with LASIK surgery (laser eye surgery). To be able to see well for the first time was one of the greatest joys and wonders Theo had ever experienced.

Eddie had never had friends. He was always lonely but, he wanted to be happy. He never thought he would ever have a friend so, he gave up. He usually just sat around and did nothing all day because he never needed to. One day, on a cold winter night at the small secluded cabin where he lived, he heard a knock on his door. He walked over to the door and opened it, no one was there. He stepped out and looked around, the cold air blowing. When he was walking back in, he looked down to see a tiny flower on the floor with a note attached. He opened the note and it read "𝓎𝑜𝓊𝓇 𝓃𝑜𝓉 𝒶𝓁𝑜𝓃𝑒." His heart started to race after reading this and he smiled.
After that day he never found out who sent it but, everyday he looks at the tiny flower with the note and he smiles.

When Hughes was just finishing college, life was different. He has lost his mother during the past four years, and many of his friends had gone off and lost touch now. He didn't have much family, in truth, his mother had been the only one he was close to. Now when the holidays or occasions like it came around he didn't have anyone to spend it with. At least this was the case until about a year after being out of college and onto his new line of work as a inventory inspector for a few local businesses. He had been assigned to visit an orphanage, ensuring they were set for the holidays with the proper amount of inventory and also to ensure no corners were being cut. In doing so he found himself growing attached to many to the children that resided there. And the children there were going an attachment to him as well, getting to know him. Many of them related to not having family, like he did, especially around the holidays. So a few of them made it their personal mission to put on a bit of a celebration, in honor of their new found friend. The party was a surprise, and Hughes had been misinformed that it was an urged and terrible news, but was indeed surprised when it turned out that it wasn't at all what he thought. The kindness, thought, and the sense of love that only comes from family was astounding to him, and he had missed it so much. Those thoughtful children and their grand gesture of love was the best gift he could have ever received.

This may seem like a small thing to most, but it is one of Seis's favorite possessions.
An old, paw-sized clay snowman. The edges are crude, it's a bit lopsided, and the
hat's crumbling,but he can't bear to part with it. Seis was volunteering at a soup
kitchen one day, something he often does as he likes to get to know the kalons that
frequent there (he finds them to be friendly and caring, much more than you would
think!). He was ladling a measurement of beef stew into a bowl for an elderly
woman when a mother and two sons came in. Seis was used to seeing things like
this, but it never fails to break his heart. It hit him harder than usual because he
recognized the mother. They had gone to college together, both taking Honors
English AA. When she came up to him in the food line, she smiled. Seis didn't know
what to say. She began telling him how he had impacted her life when they were
in school together. She remembered how he had helped her find the perfect gift
for her mother for Christmas one year, and another time when he aided her
protesting the unfairness of an assignment. He had always been there for her.
Someone had told her that Seis sometimes volunteered at the city's soup kitchen,
and she wanted to thank him for everything he did for her. Her younger son then
held out the snowman figurine, saying that he made it for Seis in art class and
wanted him to have it. The moment brought tears to Seis's eyes. Although he
often did things for others, he never expected things in return. He keeps the
figurine on his desk, as a reminder that everything he does has meaning.

The best gift Flo has ever received, from an anonymous fan none the less, was a Carl Rader Solingen antique straight razor. He likes to think himself an expert on antique shaving instruments, as boring as that hobby may sound. He already has a small collection, but he knows the Solingen that he was gifted was well over the worth of his entire collection combined. He still wishes he were able to thank the fan, if only for the fact that it helps him feel better about himself knowing that there are people out there that enjoy his piano shows.

Nicholas, when he was a young Kalon, always had trouble going to sleep or really concentrating on anything. Though music has always improved his mood and helped make him relax and focus on his work, it was truly the golden music box that he received at the holidays from his parents that kept his thoughts from straying from the tasks at hand. Really though, the music from that box with the spinning golden bird was a mental escape from the world. Little Nick swore the item had magical properties, but really the box was just a simple thing that ended up being an object of sentimental value to him.

the best gift kristopher ever received was a glass ornament with a beautiful snowflake painted on it. it even had a light inside of the ornament, so if it was turned on a snowflake shadow would be cast across the room. this was a gift from his grandmother, she told him that it was very special to her, and that she trusted him to keep it safe. he makes sure to hang it on his christmas tree each year, as it reminds him of his grandmother.
