Second Chance Shelter is a dog and cat rescue where you can come to find a new member of your family. We rescue and rehabilitate dogs and cats of all shapes and sizes so they may have the chance to be placed into a caring home. This poor darling was found last year in a barn as a puppy, with their siblings and mother. They somehow got stuck in the barn that stormy night and almost froze to death. Luckily, the farmer stayed with them in the barn and kept them warm and fed that night. Now that they are older, they can finally be sent to a new home.

Barn incident: What happened at the barn really scared noel for weeks after if any one new came to the barn she would hide or if she ever felt the cold winter air She would have a panic attack the only one who could calm her down was her mother or the man that saved them. The man really wanted to keep noel but he already has too many dogs. It has to be the right person to get his little noel. the person must be able to help her get over her fear and hopefully one day she will be able to play in the snow like a normal dog but in till that person comes noel will be his and he will protect her always. that is why noel is so shy but she is waiting for her forever person to come and get her and to help her get over her fear.

Personality: Gold is a sweet dog. He loves to be outside and hunting. He isn't really shy. He is a pretty hyper dog and loves to play. He has a toy that he carries around. It is a duck so. He has the duck because that is his favorite thing to hunt. He loves how they taste. He loves to be out at night so he could silently sneak around the forest. He doesn't get scared easily and doesn't like to be tried or wore out.
Barn Incident: This scared Gold pretty bad, but he started to become more brave. He really shows this when he goes into the cold at night. Winter nights probably scared him pretty bad, but when he was a young pup after he was saved, he started taking his duck with him outside and started to get a little more confident. Soon he could go out without his duck. He was still a little scared, but has gotten better.

Barn incident: The incident has given Di a huge fear of barns, and winter. She refuses to go anywhere near a barn, and will not leave the house during the winter time, unless she is safely in a crate. It was terrifying to feel herself almost falling asleep, when every nerve in her body was screaming at her to stay awake.

Barn incident: The mother was just giving birth to her pups, Danny her husband laying near her when the accident happened, There was a gun shot from outside, Making danny leap away in fear. Scared, Kayla stayed there cuddling her pups laying on the soft hay, A gun shot went right through her ear, Frightened she leapt up injuring her pups, She slowly limped back down protecting them from the men approaching, Kayla was shaking at the time, wanting to leave, but she didnt want to leave her pups. The men walked right up to her and grabbed one of her pups, Kayla was always that soft dog that never really bit or growled, So she just layed there sadly watching the men pound her pups to death, one by one. Afterwards, when the men were leaving, A little pup crawled out from under her mums paw, Kayla smothered her with licks. Soonly kayla was dead, But Samantha was the survivor.
How It Affected Her: Samantha has not been taking it well, She has always hid when a new person would visit, and when she heard a gun shot, she would get anxiety attacks. We always try calm her with words, but she'll only calm down with food.
