Gifted Story: A young adult mother Vampiric Dire Wolf stared out the frosted window as her dark brown eyes watching the falling snow as a smile crept across her maw. What felt like a million miles away, her son was waking up Christmas morning to a white Christmas and presents under the tree. Young Anson eagerly jumped out of bed as his paws carried him towards the living room where he came to stand as his tail wagged happily once his gaze fell upon the gifts resting under the tree. His father, Ace, soon joined him and they unwrapped the presents together, the little pup squealing excitedly at each one as the item within was revealed.

After all the presents had been unwrapped and the trash taken care of, Anson went to double check and make sure they got all of them. Tucked neatly within the branches was an envelope with his name written on it in his mother's writing. "Daddy, we missed one." The pup said as he ran to his father with the note in hand. Ace looked genuinely confused at his son's discovery and gently took the note into his own hands before opening up. "'Look outside, my little prince'" Ace read the words aloud and looked up to see Anson run out the door. Stopping at the door step, his eager eyes fell upon a rocking horse standing in the snow with another letter attached to the handle bar. Inside he found a little bit of glitter and another note that said "Sprinkle me.". Doing as instructed, the pup sprinkled the glitter over the rocking horse causing it to be engulfed in a glowing light. The light grew taller and out sprang a Silver Sooty Bay Khimaira Friesian with swirls like wood grain and dapples covering her body.

Personality:
Dixie's over-excitable attitude makes her a fun horse to be around. She's always optimistic, always looking to the bright side, and she always looks for the good in others, even if it seems she's looking at the darkest of hearts. Dixie loves spending her time playing in the snow and catching snowflakes with her tongue, her favorite season is winter.

Gifted Story:
The young girl stumbled eagerly down the steps, occasionally tripping over her too-long nightgown. Long brown hair flowed to her hips as she stopped at the fireplace, eagerly taking down her stocking and emptying it. Out fell candy, candy canes, a few gift cards, and a cash card to one of her favorite online games.
"Thanks Santa!" She whispered, neatly cleaning up her pile of candy and small toys and leaving it on the counter.
Turning, she looked at her tree. A huge pile of presents, wrapped neatly in pink wrapper, stood next to it. Eagerly she rushed over and began tearing into the first present. She took out a small model horse, which she gawked at for a few moments before placing it aside and grabbing the next gift.
"Rose, what's that?" Her mother pointed towards one of the taller gifts with an odd shape.
Rose shrugged and grabbed it, neatly ripping off the paper to reveal a wooden rocking horse. Golden swirls were painted across its whole body, and red eyes caught the light.
"Wow!" Rose exclaimed, sitting atop the beast's saddle. "Thank you, Santa Claus!" Rose hugged its neck with glee, oblivious to the happy gleam in the horse's eyes.

Santa Claus stumbled down the chimney, coughing at the ash. Shaking out his bright red suit, he looked for one toy in particular, one that hadn't been finished.
"You're not ready to be gifted yet." He whispered, touching its head with his hand. Then he climbed back up the chimney, and the telltale sign of reindeer faded as they flew off into the night.

"Rose, where's your rocking horse?" The woman asked as she cooked the next morning. "You opened it last night, right?"
"Yes, I did-" Rose stopped.
In front of her was a mare, identical to the rocking horse. Her eyes gleamed.
"My rocking horse!" Rose squealed, rushing up to the mare and hugging her neck.
"Thank you, Santa." The mare whispered.
