Although his nickname might seem to imply that he is cheap or miserly it isn't at all why he's called that. In actuality he is quite giving and generous though he doesn't even have much money to give. His friends took to calling him Mr. Gold because they say everything he touches turns to gold. But really what they mean by that is that Reyes is extremely talented and anything he puts his hand to turns out magnificent. He's a wonderful tailor and designer, he's very creative as well as inventive, so his friends affectionately refer to his as the kalon with the golden touch. In all honestly Reyes finds the nickname pretty horrible and he's too humble to agree with any of them on why they call him that. He doesn't see his talent and amazing ability to create beautiful things not scraps and near nothing to be worth calling him something like that. Not to mention he's gotten some dirty looks from others who've heard his friends teasingly using his nickname in public. Many believing him to be tight with his money, uncharitable or rude, which isn't the way he is in the least. Try as he might he can't get his friends to understand that the nickname they gave him in good humor is causing him issues. Maybe one day they'll understand.

Not being able to think of one before she gave in, Towairatio met some friends. Agatha remembers exactly how her nickname changed from Aggie to Grace. She was young, carefree and full of life (She still is, however she considers herself to be wiser now.) The shipping docks were where she and her friends would go to play; they never knew who they were going to meet or what was coming into port. It was fun, exciting, a new adventure everyday. On one cold winter day, Agatha arrived at the docks once more, all bundled up with her crew in co. She ran through to see the new ships and their passengers when she slipped on the icy docks. She skidded and slid, before eventually falling flat onto her face. Her friends laughed before helping her up as a nearby captains snickered.

"Watch your step, Grace." One of them called out and Agatha's friends burst out in laughter once more. Since then, they've never let her forget that moment, instead calling her Grace instead of the causal Aggie they once used.

Zora’s nickname of “Cuckoo” actually came about in a rather strange fashion. It was within her first week of high school, and she’d already built up a bit of a reputation for not being the most sociable, even perhaps a little bit strange, due to the fact she spent pretty much her entire life either with her nose in a book, drawing, writing plays, stories, and music, or playing piano and singing in the music room. It was in one lunch time, where she happened to be trying to write a piece of music for her father for his next birthday, and she had a clear melody in her head, but the one thing she constantly struggled with was coming up with a title for her music. She’d been pondering over this title for around three days, with little success. She thought she was about to hit an epiphany, when suddenly a crowd of young boys burst in, laughing, before stopping abruptly. One of them shouted, rather rudely in Zora’s opinion, “Oh look, it’s the Cuckoo Kid!” Before laughing to his friends and leaving. Initially, Zora was pretty upset about this newly found nickname, before realising that it was the absolute perfect title for her new song, fitting the almost birdsong like melody perfectly. So, although she had initially began hating her newly found nickname, it quickly became a very positive affiliation for her, particularly as her father absolutely adored the song, and declared it his best birthday and present ever. Zora’s classmates continued to call her Cuckoo, but she didn’t mind it one bit. Over time, Zora actually found herself liking the nickname, and her new found positivity as a result of it actually resulted in her making some wonderful friends. She eventually plucked up the courage to ask one of those friends why she had been given that nickname in the first place, and the answer consisted of two reasons: The first is that she was a little bit quirky, a daydreamer, and also eccentric, which fitted with the nickname, but also because of her beautiful singing voice that so many had secretly admired, and had compared to beautiful, delicate birdsong - perhaps not the Cuckoo bird itself, but it worked just enough with the nickname to get away with it.

Galaren is part of a noble family and as such has noble name. While her family is noble, Ren is not. She would rather go out and have a good time with her friends than sit at another family dinner. That's exactly how she got her nickname, at a formal family dinner. It was her grandmother who gave it to her. Galaren was sullen and in a bad mood already when her grandmother started making snide remarks about Galaren's hair and clothes. While this was no different to any other dinner, Ren had had it. She snapped at her grandmother and her grandmother snapped back, calling her a disgrace, and sneering the name 'Ren' at her. Which flickered a light on in her head, maybe that was what she would use as a weapon against her family's noble roots. And so she adopted the name 'Ren' in defiance of her family and creating a new identity.

childish.. Do you really need to make a mockery of every word I say?" They were obviously annoyed, as well, making for at least two, although t
he whole atmosphere in the theater seemed to grow with the same feeling, likely from the audience members around them. "Come one, Sombr
e, if you're going to act like a child, you're going to be treated like one, too," As they spoke they stood up, grabbing Sombre's hand and pulling
him out of his seat and then exiting the theater. The atmosphere seemed to lighten immediately after they were out of sight.
"Alright, what's the deal? Did you really hate the movie that much, because you could have just told me so." The way they spoke was almost apol
ogetic, making Sombre smile. That was who he knew and loved, the apologetic pushover that they were had finally returned. "I didn't really hat
e it, no. It's just so boring~ I like watching stuff at home where I can make comments on it all I want without people shushing me. I mean, really,
if they like it they can watch it by themselves later, and if they don't they why should they care about me making comments?" He really sounded l
ike a snotty child when he spoke. They shook their head at him, drawing their palm to their face, "Honestly, do you have to make such a mocker
y of everything? Maybe if people started calling you mockery, you wouldn't be so turned on to the idea." As they spoke they started to smile at hi
m a little, perhaps hopeful that an embarrassing nickname would discourage him from doing what he did.
"Go ahead. Call me Machrie, actually, M-A-C-H-R-I-E, Machrie. I think it suits me better," He walked away from them as he spoke, out of the the
ater and onto the street. They sent a glare at him as he left, annoyed at how childish he acted, before puchsing back into the theater to finish t
he movie.

Paju hates the cold, all she ever wants to do is get back under her pile of blankets. So when she is asked to run an errand she does it as quick as she can. Some even joke that her feet hardly touch the ground, when she walks across the snow her feet barely touch the cold substance and leave tracks behind. Nobody is sure how she can do it, but she's so quiet she can quickly sneak up behind her friends and give them a nice warm hug (though it's mainly for her benefit, body heat is a great way to combat the cold).
