Dear Journal... Today I have realized that no one cares. Whats new...
I live in an upper class family with little to no interaction with my parents.
The Nurse is my care taker, and a sloppy one at best. At my school I get
teased for how quiet I am. The teacher is always picking on me and I have
virtually no friends. L I F E S U C K S!
There is this one guy though. He lives on the street corner near my house.
I always give him whatever was left of my lunch for the day and he always
thanks me graciously. If I have nothing left from the day he never begs or
expects anything from me. He just acknowledges me kindly with a tip of his
ragged hat. He must be 92 Years old...

Today I met that man again.
He called out to me as I was walking home, defeated, from school.
I looked around and pointed to myself with confusion. When he looked
me straight into the eyes I knew it was indeed me he was talking to so I
hurried over to his side.
This man Had never uttered a word to me besides his usual, "thank you",
so I was curious as of why he needed me.
I opened my bag at the same time and pointed to my empty lunch sac. He
just pushed it away dismissively and said,
"I thought you might want this. A young man left it here by accident and
never came back for it."
He had pulled out a worn but still good enough to use MP3 player. It was
a very nice model to. My eyes must have been the size of grape fruits
because he chuckled and placed it into my paws with a twinkle in his eye.
"Th-th-thank you! Very very much sir!"
Was all I was able to mutter upon receiving such a precious gift from a
stranger. I must have ran home because all I remember after that was
turning the black box on and flipping through the different songs.

As I said before my parents are upper class but they rarely spend money
on their only daughter. The only Gift I ever received from them was a laptop
for school. Other than that I didn't have much besides the necessities.

Anyway today I Immediately began to buy and download music onto my new
device. I am in love! I took the MP3 player to school today and listened to it
whenever I had a chance. No one bothered me when I had the headphones in.
The bully's at class ignored me as I ignored them. I was able to listen to the
songs that I related to, and escape from the noise and annoyances around me.

I also made sure to sneak an extra lunch out with me for the man on the street
corner. It is way bigger than mind and I am probably not even going to eat
much since I am too excited my my new playlist.

These past few days have been good. Life still sucks but at least its getting
better. I love to find new artists and tracks that I can get lost in.
The old man on the street corner has been my best friend, and we like to talk
after school every day. Life is better now, Music has opened me up to things
I would have never have believed myself to be doing.
