Personality:Dune, or Apache, is fairly clingy to his loved ones because he doesn't want to lose them. He can be
quite rude at times to hold in his feelings but he doesn't mean any harm. He can also be very affectionate
and childish when it comes to his other father. Dune is afraid that he's gonna grow up to be the opposite of
who people want him to be.
Relationship with Ambrose:Apache is fairly close to his father, Ambrose, although he doesn't really treat this Kalon like his father.
Ambrose and Apache aren't as close as Apache and Dare are, though.
Relationship with Dare:Apache is really close to his little brother, Dare because he's only had one other figure in his life which
was Ambrose. He tries to do everything with Dare because he's afraid he's going to end up losing him like
how his other father is never in his life. Dare makes Apache afraid of growing up because he doesn't want
to part from his brother since he's his only friend.
Story:Apache was chilling in the woods as usual, just sitting in a tree and sketching out his feelings. He turned his sketchbook this way, that way, trying to get every angle possible. He was currently sketching a tree in front of him, from his perspective. He didn't mind being alone because well, he was always alone. He didn't want to bother his brother while he was photographing, nor did he want to bother his "bro", also known as his father. So he just stayed. Apache let out a small yawn as he glanced around the area before he hopped down from the tree with a small "oof". The young kit began to wander to find something else to sketch, but he wandered to a place where he's never been before.
It was gorgeous. Apache admired the sparkling, clear water of a pond, little fish swimming in it with beautiful flowers at the bottom. Just seeing the beauty made him want to tear up. He took a seat and flipped to a clean page, wanting to take in everything possible. So, Apache spent the whole day sketching out the area before he knew it was time to go back home before it got dark. He didn't need to stay here to finish the sketch, in fact, he could go home and sketch it all over again just from memory, but Apache wanted to put a little magic to his sketch. He quickly hopped up in a hurry to get home so he could color his drawing, running out of the woods and to his home which was on the medium side.
Once he got home, he quickly greeted his father before running up the stairs. He'd just get dinner later. He ran into his room, which he surprisingly didn't share with his brother, and sat at his desk. His pencil curved this way and that way, somehow finishing within half an hour. He heard his father call him down for dinner and he was eager to show his family his sketch. Apache went down the stairs after cleaning up, changing into his pajamas. Once he seated himself they all started eating the food that his father ordered since he couldn't cook. Quickly scarfing down his food, Apache picked up his drawing from his lap and held it up,
"Do you like it?" He smiled slightly, looking over towards his brother who was still eating but his father seemed a bit angry. Apache knew why.
"What is that?" Ambrose, his father, had asked. Apache nervously scratched at the back of his neck and wished he had more food on his plate so he could stall. Then he looked over towards his brother who spoke,
"He's only expressing his feelings." Dare defended his brother, offering a small smile.
"Y-yeah. I found a new place in the woods today.." Apache started again, putting the drawing back down before glancing up at his father who gave a weary nod.
"Yeah, okay.. Dare, go get cleaned up, and Zander, can we talk?" Ambrose asked, attempting a smile but failing miserably. Apache agreed and stood up to put his plate in the sink. Ambrose took the picture and examined it with a soft sigh, looking towards his oldest son,
"Is this what you want to do as a career? Just.. sketch?" He asked a bit harshly before setting the picture down, letting out a frustrated sigh,
"Zander, I know you may be a sensitive boy, but come on, please don't shame us." Ambrose genuinely spoke, but he didn't know how harsh his words were until he saw Apache's lip quiver.
Apache gave his father a small nod before slowly walking away and up the stairs, leaving his drawing where his father had set it down. He went to his room and shut the door, refraining himself from breaking down right there. He quickly composed himself and started to sketch something again, which happened to be a monster hiding behind a door. That's how he felt, exactly. He let out a shaky sigh and shook his head to clear his thoughts.
"He didn't mean it.." Apache whispered to himself, knowing how his father was and what he had to go through, so Apache didn't really mind the way his father was and he couldn't help how he grew up, but he wished that his father could be easier on him. Apache stepped away from his desk before rolling onto his bed and curling up.
