What is a Parvus Lynx?

'Parvus' is the Latin word for small, which is exactly what these guys are.

The average Parvus weighs between 3-4kg (6-9 Pounds), and are around 17 cm in height (7 Inches).
Originally created in England in the 1940s, they are a mixture of Lynx, Deer and Munchkin Cat. As such, they have short, stumpy legs, antlers and a lynx like face and head.

Cross-breeding has also led to a variety in markings, as well as other modifications. For example, the original Parvus Lynx's had no tails. However, after extensive breeding with longer tailed cats, this type has almost died out.

For this boy, you will have to type up a back story for him!

i know this is about a year late, but I was looking through the archives (super hope this species didn't just die out) and I'll try out for the boy if he is still open to it.

Name: Timber "Ember"
Gender: Male
Create a Backstory:
Timber grew up with his father from a young age. His father was, while brooding at times, very protective of him. Too protective, even. Timber had always wanted to escape the cramped lifestyle of his father always cooing over him. He didn't love his father any less, but he was growing up.
And one day, he was old enough to leave. His horns had grown in, he was a mature adult. And yet he stayed.
He stayed with his father because he knew that with everything his father had done, it would be cruel to just... leave.
And one day a forest fire started. His father tried to shoo him to run, but Timber knew that his father wouldn't keep up. So he stayed with him as the two ran.
Ten minutes later, with the fire licking at their heels, Timbers father urged him to run- with his antlers. Timber struggled to leave his fathers side, but the look in his eyes told him that he had to run for the same reason he had to stay so long ago.
So he did. He finally left.
Timber wished that his father would come running out of the forest clearing behind him. He wished he had stayed. And he wished he had left so long ago, because maybe none of this would have happened- or would have mattered.
Timber changed his name after that day to Ember. Because that's all that was left of the timber forest. Embers.
"Ember" became somewhat of a pyromaniac. Not that he started fires, but he ran to them. Anywhere he saw, heard, or smelled a fire. Fire became his obsession. He swore left and right that it made him happy. That he saw his father in the flames still.
Ember knew he was crazy. But all he wanted was to see his father again- and not just in his dreams.
---
Years later and Ember saw smoke. It wasn't a lot, but he couldn't help but run to it. He came across a small band of Parvus's who had started a small campfire. He was surprised, honestly. He normally didn't see others starting fires in the forest like this.
In fact, he didn't see his father in the controlled flames of this fire. It was almost unsettling.
The parvus's urged him to sit down and stay for the night. And honestly, he didn't see why he shouldn't- unless he were to see another fire.
After some conversation, Ember learned that these parvus protected other parvus who needed help, took care of them. Many of them would stay afterward to pass on the love. He was touched, it reminded him a lot of his past.
"Hey guys. I've staked out the area and-"
Ember whipped around to see the face connected to the voice. "Dad?"
The parvus fluffed his chest fur up a bit. He supposed he could see the resemblance in him and the newcomer. But he sighed. "I'm afraid I don't know you, son."
Ember shook his head. He wished he wouldn't call him "son" if he was going to act like he wasn't his father. "What is your name? It's me! Timber!"
The parvus blinked and looked at his members behind the yound parvus. They all just shrugged and nodded.
"My name... Elm."
Ember shook his head again. "Elk! You called yourself Elk because they were your favorite! Your birth name was Harlow, and you didn't like it."
Elm took a step back and sat down. The behavior looked so strange to Ember.
One of the parvus he was been talking to before- Thylia- finally spoke up. "Do you swear you know him? Why were you separated if you care so much?"
Ember whipped around with tears in his eyes. "There was a fire and-"
Thylia cut him off. "Elm, this boy might speak the truth. He might really be your son. I can believe it- I would know in an instant if I saw my sister again."
Elm considered this as Ember turned to look back at his father.
"Timber? Or is it Ember?"
"T-Timber, please..."
Elm smiled politely. "Timber, these parvus rescued me a long time ago from a forest fire. I almost didn't make it. But I wasn't breathing for quite some time, and when I woke up, I had forgotten everything before having a flaming branch fall on me. I don't know if I really am your father, but I will take your word for it." He took a tentative step forward. "I may not be the best father, but I'll at least be here for you."
Ember nodded as he began to sob. His father was alive, but he wasn't the same parvus. He was different. But he was his.
Once he had calmed down, he sat down at the fire with the rest of the band. They asked for stories about growing up with "Elm", and how it was.
Ember found himself rambling for hours, and occasionally finding himself leaning into the fire.
"Careful Timber." Elm laid his tail on Embers shoulder with the warning.
Ember smiled. That was the father he knew.
