Lykaios (or Lykaio if there's only one) are a cross between a fish, an otter and a wolf. They are slightly larger than a pet cat and have sharp teeth and front claws. Lykaios are omnivores but most of them prefer meat and fish over fruit or veg. They prefer water but are willing to go on land aswell. Lykaios LOVE humans or any species that is not their own due to their adventurous nature. A Lykaio can also be somewhat territorial of their belongings. When sleeping in water with a mate or a friend Lykaios will hold hands to prevent driffting away from each other.

Well, isn't this guy interesting. He's missing a leg and has a very strange tail...what's his story?

A heavy feeling washed over raij.He thrashed around,he couldn't move,he couldn't see.All he could feel was the throbbing pain in his leg.Leg...what happened to his leg.The only thing he could rember was getting too close to a fisherman a boat,getting a little friendly with the propeller.He smooth hand reached out,touching him."Shhhh shh it's okay." She said."I'm Doctor willy,your safe"
Personality:Raij loves the thrill of adventure.Swimming fast in the water and leaving the world of the land dwellers.He had lost his leg and tail (prosthetic) due to running directly into a fisherman a boat.At first he was super depressed,barly eating at all.But with the help of the marine instuite,he started to swim again.Now he is as Mobil and happy as ever

Story: It wasn't meant to happen, really. From what Aeon can remember as a pup, they left to get food, and thought the chosen den was safe. He was waiting at the den for their return, but unfortunately the curiousity of the lykaio pup had gotten to him, and he left to explore. Now, the lake area he lived around wasn't the cleanest, and it wasn't the safest either. But the area his parents had chosen had seemed to be suitable. He can't remember very much of what happened to him, it slowly blurred together in his mind through time and as he aged but what he can recall is his leg getting caught on something like a trap, which caused immense pain for him, and the sounds of large, rushing footsteps. He believes he may have fainted or passed out from the pain caused, and when he woke up he was with a human, which he didn't know at the time. When he woke up, his leg was gone and rather replaced with the small stump of it he has now, but they had provided him with food, water, and shelter, so he thought it was okay. They nursed him back to health before they let him back out into another lake, a safer one. He resides in that same lake to this day, and more often than not ends up telling the story of how he lost his leg to other lykaio quite often.

Personality: aeon often a mellow, relaxed lykaio, but that doesn't mean he can't be a mischevious one. even with the loss of his leg due to a trap. aeon is very friendly aswell, and grew from a previously timid adolescent to the mischief-maker he is now, he loves playing around with fellow local lykaio, and often enjoys being in the company of pups

Extra: my friend drew art of him! albeit she didn't realize he only had one leg, so ig u could take this as a "what if he didn't" turn to his story! ;v;

Name: Regn (Rain in old Norse)
Gender: Male
Story: Regn had been born with a gift. His beautiful tail meant that he could swim faster than any of the other Lykaios, and his dark pelt with flashes of bright colour would dazzle those he passed. One day, Regn was happily swimming around. Nearby a mother with her young were playing in the water. Suddenly, a small Lykaio pup lost its grip on its mother. The current was pretty strong, and the mewling pup was soon washed away. Regn was bopped on the head by the pup, and as he surfaced, confused, he spotted the mother who had a couple of other pups she could not abandon; and so she floated crying in distress.
Regn quickly realised what was happening and rushed after the pup, hoping to catch it. His mind was focused solely on the safety of the pup and he realised it might be slightly faster to run on the stony bank than the water, which was becoming increasingly rocky and had more chance of injuring Regn before he could rescue the pup.
Regn noticed he was catching up to the pup, but he was not watching where his paws were going. The SNAP of a hunter’s trap was a shock for poor Regn, as it closed its sharp jaws on his leg. Regn had to rescue the pup though, and tore his leg free.
Regn eventually managed to rescue the young Lykaio, but lost his leg in the process. He was hailed a hero, but Regn realised there was more to life then showing off. He had lost a leg, and therefore was a lot slower than the other Lykaios on land, but Regn didn’t care. He had his beautiful tail.
Personality: Regn was a bit of a show off, and still is, but has become a little more mature. He likes to swim, but will get a little uncomfortable if forced to go on land. He's very careful of where he places his three remaining paws at all times.
Regn is pretty happy-go-lucky, and likes to have fun. He doesn't really like rules, however, but follows them grudgingly, only bending them a tiny bit.
