First Time They Saw Snow?:
It was her first year of life. She was born shortly after the winter ended and the Spring was just jumping into view. Between the odd transition from Winter to Spring, there had been a tonof rainfall, so she knew what that was like. But when it had come to her turning the big 01, she had never seen snow. It was her very firstWinter.
For her 9 months of life, she had herd (pun intended) tons of stories about everyone loving the snow or hating it's cold nip. There was no in between. She was so excited for the upcoming snowfall.
She couldn't wait to play and frolic in it's vast entirety. The magnificent beauty she had just dreamed of seeing.
When it finally hit winter time and dropped enough to snow, she wiggled, and fidgeted, and made noise until someone finally let her out.
She burst through her stall door and out into the field where a nice layer of snow had covered the ground and in all the excitement, she ran back in then back out. Then back in, then back out.
She looked up at the sky, a flurry of flakes falling onto her face, forelock, mane, eyes and nose. She sneezed and whinnied joyfully. She danced around in it, the snow clinging to her legs. She realized she blended in perfectly.
She was running and rolling in the snow. But they were right, it was "burr."
The snow wasn't what she had seen the children draw in pictures, but instead, was more beautiful than she had every imagined.

First Time They Saw Snow?: Heartbreaker didn't exactly know how to react towards the crisp winter winds of the place he was travelling to. His riders weren't that keen on the colder weather either, and he could recall them bickering about the cold while he was leaning out of the window of the horsebox he was in. They were stopped at some large building and had something attached to the box now; whatever was attached to the box didn't seem to be doing anything good, just sorta hanging out of the trailer with a long rope attached to it. The air was pretty biter around here and Breaker had no issue with expressing his distaste of the unsanitary air, snorting and shaking his slim head in the window.
"Calm down breaker, we'll be out of here sometime. Just wait until I'm done with the gas." He puffed out air from his nostrils and was quite surprised to see white clouds blowing away from him; it made him tilt his ears up and pause to watch the fog disappear almost as quickly as it had come. Watching the fog made him turn his head upwards and he couldn't help but just stare at the gray, cloudy sky above him. Back in Dubai, the sun was always too blinding to look up at so this was rather different and new for Breaker. He would've loved to see the sky as a natural blue color though, not a gray, cloud-filled upsetting mess. But he'd live, at least he had the chance to look up and not have the sun punishing him.
"Oh, hey, did you put a cover on Breaker ? It looks like it's snowing." Breaker understood everything but snow; because what was snow ? He tilted his head curiously at his riders when they started gesturing at him, they were bickering again. He must've been a little too invested in watching them, enough to where he wasn't paying attention to the white dot that was floating downwards. It was small enough to miss, and yet obvious enough to just... not miss. He was too late on noticing it; it lightly touched his nose and he was pulling his head back and furiously shaking it. It felt like someone had poured freezing water all over him. And he didn't like it. He also didn't like the way his riders were laughing at him outside the window.
Breaker poked his head out after a bit before snorting angrily and pulling his head back in when he was attacked yet again. In a semi-slouching, moping pose, he stared out the window, watching the white flecks come down. Then they started to cascade down quickly, with more to account for. Soon, the outside world was being dotted with white. And he refused to stick his head outside. At this point, Breaker was trembling; his skin was thin and not adjusted for this type of weather, he was desert-built. This was a horrible and bitter experience, to say the least.

first time they saw snow?:
it was midwinter. the clouds had held back, but in a flurry they had burst. snow covered the ground, covered the rooftops, covered everything.
sieve had been aware of the cold; it was the time of year when his short, smooth coat could not hold the wind out and he was swaddled in a heavy rug. the shoulders and hips of his blanket were marred with little rips where his teeth had grasped in an attempt to pull it off. he did not like this.
though it was only his third winter, it had not been this cold last year, and he had been too young to remember the year before. he was an excellent mover with great promise, but the cold had made his bones stiff and movements choppy. the barn had heat, but just yesterday his tongue had briefly stuck to the wall after a testing lick.
that morning the jingle of his halter called him to attention; even with the cold, he pranced down the aisle, skittish and excited. the groom kept a hand on his muzzle. quiet down, it said. sieve was excited.
then he saw. no longer were the pastures yellowed by the cold visible- where did they go? he balked at the entrance to his well-known outside world, confused. the wind crept inside, buffering against his blanket. he snorted, and his breath was visible before him. he skittered backwards, suddenly missing the confines of his stall.
with a firm pull, the groom urged sieve forward. he reluctantly stepped onto a dirt path he had walked thousands of times, but it felt like a stranger. the cloak of white surrounded sieve on all sides, and he danced under the groom's watchful eyes, leaping sideways at snow-covered buckets. he could've sworn that was a monster, crouching in the shadows!
after a short walk to his pasture, sieve was taken inside, and his halter slipped off as the gate closed. he stood in a patch untouched by snow. the groom waved his arms. sieve leaped into the air.
what?
his hooves had landed in something peculiar, and he did not approve. it crunched under him, giving way, but it was not sand. something landed on his neck, causing a twitch. why was this rain falling so slowly? he watched, utterly still, as a flake landed on his nose.
then, with a soundless bang, the stallion went up on his hind legs and into the air, bolting. wherever he went, the snow was there. his hooves left ruts in the snow behind him, and he continued bucking, sure there were monsters hidden. he did not like this new ground, and skidded to a stop in front of the fence before spinning and going off again. his breath fogged the air in front of him. he failed to notice calmer horses in the pasture beside him, laughing quietly.
eventually, he quieted down, accepting the snow with a grumpy attitude, although he swore he'd never go outside again.
