It was not the happy ending of a fairy tale movie, and it may not have felt like love to you, but for me, it truly was.

We had been together for over two years. In that time, I already gone out with you countless times, and I sent thousands of text messages to your outdated flip-phone, I also can't forget the occasional face-chats through our computers. To me, none of those were ever as special as the last few.

When I wasn’t occupied I was thinking about you, or thinking about if there could be a possibility you thinking about me. I silently wished you’d send me a message or even drop in for a short call. I never hoped for anything more than just a "hi" or "what have you been up to?" The feeling of being wanted and cared about was new and overwhelming. I found myself drifting out of reality all the time, escaping to a better place- a place with just me and you.

I didn't like you at first, since I was warned that you were bad by who I thought was my best friend. She was wrong about you. When I actually got to know you I fell head over heals for you. It was like death all over again every moment I thought of not knowing whether or not you were just as crazy about me as I was about you.
I wanted to be with you all the time, but when I actually was, I guess I was too nervous to even say a word. I always forget what to say, so I never ended up saying the right thing, did I? You told me you liked how timid I was, but I didn't like my timid nature.

During our last date, I remember we sat in the back row of the theatre in the same seats we had been in on our very first date. We watched the movie, leaning close to wach other. You looked over to me as I looked to you. You curled your fingers into mine. It felt like the entire world had stopped just for us in that moment. My heart beat faster yet seemingly slower at the same time. I wanted to stay there with you forever, holding hands in a theatre full of others gazing toward the giant screen above, and us in our own little world, captured in each others eyes.

Alas, the credits rolled too soon, so you let go and looked away as the audience stood up and made their way to the doors, pushing and shoving each other, desperate to get to the bathrooms. We stayed back for a while, shortly behind the crowd. You walked me home, again holding my hand the whole time. I was really hoping for a kiss, even just one on the cheek, but all you did was rest your paw on my shoulder and lean in for a half hug. "Goodbye, sweetie," you said to me as you started to walk to your house. (I think you were embarrassed to be seen with me, but I wasn't with you.) The day after, which was our last day together, was magical. The best feeling I have ever felt was captured in that final hug. I nuzzled you a bit on accident. It was heartbreaking to see you get in the van to leave for good. I cried after you left, with your generous gift of your favorite sweatshirt locked tight in my arms.

A little about Tucker
Most of the time she goes by Tucker, or Tucks. But on special
occasions, she is called by Grace. Her full name is Grace Molly
Tucker. She doesn't like having a girly name, so she changed it
to Tucker. She never really fit in, the other kids saying
"Geez! What is that?" or "Stay away from her. She's weird looking.."
so no one really was a true friend to her. There were
some nice furtopians that pretended to be friends with
her, but then the next year they acted like she was a
stranger. Her parents always acted like she was a baby,
and embarrassed her. Though Tucker loves the hugs they give.


Tucker is lovesick. To whom?
Tucker had to move, was forced to because her dad got a new
job. She was in love with he Fjord horse her parents bought. But
she had to sell her because of the move. Tucker cried the whole
night, and finally stopped. She had a unique connection with Mel,
the horse, and she longed to get him back. But when he is in Michigan,
and you are in California, then it doesn't really work. So Tucker cried
again and again, missing Mel even more. Every week, she sends a
letter to the owners, asking them how Mel is doing. They respond quickly,
always sending a picture of him with it. Soon enough, Tucker had twenty
of them, lined up on her wall. She kisses them each night, and makes
sure that they are dusted and clean. Tucker found some new friends,
each of them also had to move and leave some pet behind. Her best
friend had to leave a Great Dane named Lacey because she was too old
to fly. Tucker liked the move, but would pick staying at her old house if
she had the choice.
