μεράκι loves to play soccer with Derse and Stratus in the fields beyond the thick woods that border their house. Her paws were meant to move like this! She also enjoys to steal small sips of coffee from Skylar's cup when the Kalon is not watching. She enjoys comforting Cirrus and occasionally convincing her to play with the rest of them. She doesn't talk much with her father, but they do a lot together. μεράκι favors her brother over Derse, though. She finds how he is more of the non-sports-obsessed type, like her, and actually doesn't mind his dirty mouth.

μεράκι loves picking wildflowers in the same field where she plays soccer with her siblings. While there others don't enjoy this, she does. Another hobby is adding and subtracting fractions. Brisingr finds these problems fun and a way to challenge herself. Often this Kalon makes up problems when she's bored and not writing.

Personality: kasia is extremely family-oriented: she feeds off the time she spends with her loved ones. she is reserved at times, and is quite a night-owl. going to sleep at a decent and early hour isn't an option for her. although she might be naive, she has a heart of gold. if any of her siblings (or anyone she values, for that matter) were to get into trouble, she would happily take the fall. there's nothing worse than seeing the ones she loves most upset.



Relationships with Family:

helios - father: she is absolutely daddy's little girl. all she wants to do is make him happy or proud, whether it's eating ham sandwiches with him under the summer sky, or listening to some of his favorite audio books. kasia isn't oblivious to what the other parents say... she knows they view him as being "overbearing", but she couldn't disagree more. even if it were true, she would just love him even more for it.

stratus - brother: kasia loves her brother, even through his temper. she knows what makes him tick and makes sure to never set him off. apart from his sharp tongue, she gets along with him nicely. she appreciates how nice and calm he is, as spending a lot of time around derse can tire anyone out. napping with him is her favorite leisure activity.

There is nothing more exciting to Sam than searching for something, anything, that glitters. He has plans to live full time in Egypt as soon as he is old enough and has visited several times, working after school just to scrape up the money to travel over the summer. Somehow he always seems to earn it back... usually by a method he does not prefer to disclose to anyone. His schoolwork has become slightly neglected as he grows old enough to go off on his own, but he excels in all of his history classes and has recently taken up an Arabic language course so that he will be able to communicate with Egyptian natives. The architecture of the towering pyramids enraptures him. He has excellent navigation skills and can decipher even maps in the roughest of shape. He has located countless places that weren't previously known to exist, but of course he does not tell just anyone where they are, even if they're not that far from his backyard.

You may want to call him a grave robber, but he prefers not to use that title, as it comes with a bad reputation. He refers to himself as a "treasure hunter" and no one seems to question him any further. He is just a young kalon who enjoys searching for things. Right? Sam is very skilled in what he does. He leaves almost no trace that he was ever where he wasn't supposed to be, and almost always emerges from his jobs successful. However, he does not keep all of the loot for himself. A portion of it goes to his family, to help them pay for what they need, and another to history museums. Sometimes he even donates artifacts he has found to them, but always anonymously so he cannot be tracked if someone were to become suspicious.

Overall, Samson has a huge heart. He hates to see injustice towards anyone who cannot stand up for themselves and typically favors the underdogs. Danger is often perceived as a challenge to him and he might remind you of a young Indiana Jones on his best days, although he does not share the fear of snakes. He has a very charming nature that gets him out of trouble in most cases. He is a good friend, but not someone you'd want to have as your enemy either. Life is a big adventure to him and every day is a new opportunity for excitement.

Skylar
Sam and his mother have a close relationship. Skylar is constantly worrying about what danger her son may be in, as he purposely does not tell her many details of what he is up to when he is away. Its not because he doesn't trust her, but because he doesn't want her to worry. He sometimes sends her back a gem or piece of jewelry as a gift from his adventures.

Helios
Helios is very uncomfortable with Sam's self-proclaimed profession. He is always nervous that Sam will be caught and arrested or that he will get hurt. After getting into several fights with his son about it, he realized that Sam needed to be granted the freedom to make his own choices, or maybe even gave up the fight against his strong-willed child. He checks up on him often, but does his best not to lecture him. Sending money is Sam's way of proving to his dad that he is doing something worthwhile, but he also does it out of love for his family.

Cirrus
Cirrus and Sam are not very close. In his early childhood, he bonded more with Skylar, as she was always there to support him in any way she knew how. Cirrus has always thought badly of Samson's passion. She refuses to consider his "treasure hunting" a profession and the coldness between the two of them did not improve as a result. They are civil toward each other, but not on the best of terms as of now.

Derse
Sam has no quarrel with Derse, but sometimes he feels like she tries too hard to make others happy instead of doing what makes her happy. He wants the best for her and tries to encourage her to have fun outside of her practicing, but it seems as though she thinks he intends to be mean. When he can, he always tries to attend her games and shows and be as supportive as possible.

Stratus
Sam and Stratus are sort of opposites. Stratus has a relatively calm lifestyle, while Samson is always off seeking thrills. They tend to pick on each other, and this sometimes ends in an argument because of Stratus's temper and Sam's sarcastic nature. They usually resolve it quickly or just move on and forget about it, and have been known to have intellectual conversations when alone together.

Personality: Sorin inherited a lot of Cirrus's anti-social behavior, and he finds it hard to talk to others without

rt to ask him a lot of questions. Sorin has a keen sense of smell, but with it comes his very picky eating habits.

Skylar; Sorin isn't really the biggest fan of Skylar. Because of her tendencies to get up earlier and drink an inte

ck very easily, so it's hard for him to stay around her. As he's not the biggest fan of sports, so her constant enco
uraging can get a little annoying. Even so, he doesn't mind being around her sometimes {especially when she's h
