username: Incomprehensible
name: Scylla Lear (LEE-ar) Redhinge (red-HING-ay)
gender: Female
personality: A rather unhappy Kalon, Scylla is always desiring physical comfort and protection. Her parents were distant and unreachable, the rest of her family nonexistent, leaving without any forms of communication when she was only a few weeks old. Because of this, she never really fit in, and became apathetic and depressed. Unenthusiastic and pessimistic at best, Scylla only ever brightens up when she is among friends. There, she can be accepted and loved, and be given the comfort and protection she craves. It never lasts long enough for her. When they leave, she is once again sullen and emotionless. Her only other comforts are drawing and collecting rocks. Why? Because neither of them ask her to feel anything. In drawing, she can pour her negative feelings onto the paper, and with rocks, she feels a definite connection. She can be ragged or smooth, glimmering or dull. But either way, she is tough enough to withstand the trials of life, and she will do her best not to break.
dream: (no word limit)
Scylla stared up at the sky, feeling leaden with apathy and a strange, gnawing maw of emptiness. Holding her paw up above her, she swore if she could just reach out, just a little farther, she could reach the stars...
Her arm flopped back down. What was the point? She'd never be anything useful. She would never make her mark.
She would be forgotten.
Staring blankly at the teasingly bright constellations above her, she felt her eyelids begin to flutter shut.
"Hey."Startled, Scylla tried to stand up, only to stumble and fall hard on one knee.
"Bugger!""Ah, are you alright?""Yah, I'm fine..."Are you sure..?"Scylla took a good look at who she was talking to.
A fluffy, big-tailed animal with large ears and a kind, concerned smile."Yeah."That was a lie, but this stranger surely didn't care. And yet, their eyes seemed to reflect a sorrowful understanding of her simple duplicity.
"If you say so. So then, what's your name? I'm Hazel.""Uh, Scylla. What's up with your ears? Not to be rude, but...""Ach, no, you're fine! I'm a Vokkip. Our ears always look like this.""Oh. Uh, I'm a Kalon.""So I gathered. What are you doing here? Stargazing?""I s'pose."Hazel smiled kindly and glanced at the night sky.
"It's a nice place to stargaze. Do you come here often?"Scylla was somewhat unnerved by Hazel's unusual interest in her.
"D'you come here often?"No, not usually. I only stopped by to see the city, but I was overwhelmed.""Why?""Well, I'm a mountain girl myself. I'm not really cut out for an urban life."wipppp
