Lykaios are a cross between a fish, an otter and a wolf. They are slightly larger than a pet cat and have sharp teeth and front claws. Lykaios are omnivores but most of them prefer meat and fish over fruit or veg. They prefer water but are willing to go on land aswell. Lykaios LOVE humans or any species that is not their own due to their adventurous nature. A Lykaio can also be somewhat territorial of their belongings. When sleeping in water with a mate or a friend Lykaios will hold hands to prevent driffting away.

short story;; it was the day before the yound lykiao's naming ceremony, where he would finally be showed to the world and introduced to the community. they were newborn, eyes barely open, and their fur was pristine. the leader of the lykiaos smiled. "welcome to the community, young one." the leader touched their nose to the childs, and at once a rainbow fell all around the clearing - covering the ground, the trees, and most importantly, the child. their fur glowed every colour of the rainbow, until suddenly there flashed a bright light of gold, when a cloud covered the sky. the leader and every other lykiaos was impressed by this display. "We shall name this child goldie." the child's mother spoke out loud. "because at the end of every rainstorm come's a raibow, and at the end of every rainbow is a flash of gold."

short story;; He'd never liked his first name, it had always just felt too... arrogant. Pride would often sit for hours thinking and thinking, what would he change his name to if he had the chance. His friends and family had known him as Pride for his entire life, was it worth changing his name? He didn't want something too different right?
With a sigh the pastel coloured lykaio headed back to his house, only to find his family had a visitor. To be precise a German visitor.
"This is your father's friend, he's from Germany." His mother explained to him. Pride remained silent, he had always been shy.
"Go on, introduced himself." His mother prompted, giving him a small nudge.
"H-hello. I'm Pride.." He mumbled, though saying his own name didn't seem right to him
"hmmm Stolz eh?" The visitor said with a strong German accent. "The name's Jaecar."
Pride shook Jaecar's hand gently, looking a little confused.
Jaecar smiled. "Did I confuse you? Stolz is German for pride." He explained to the smaller lykaio.
Pride nodded enthusiastically. Stolz, he liked that, much better then Pride... He looked up at Jaecar, he wasn't Pride any more, he was Stolz.
(Eh just something from the top of my head, the story behind his name.)
