Hazard Cats are long legged felines with quite a few robotic qualities.
Their tails are about the length of their body, split into two pieces,
and connected by some form of energy. The glass screens on their
chest are most commonly known to show a heartbeat, but many other
glowing images can appear there. These images mirror the cat’s
health in one way or another. Some cats have static on their screens,
but beware, those cats are as dangerous as they are rare! The picture
on the screen will always match the color of the cat’s eyes, which
typically have hollowed pupils. Hazards have three eyes, but the center
one is almost always covered with a band-aid or something similar.
This is because of the often dangerous powers that are channeled
through the third eye. Grates on the cats’ sides aid in breathing and
can also emit a steam, sound and mist, as well as a strange goo.
Their large ears allow them to hear potential prey miles away and make
them skilled trackers, but they are easily overwhelmed by too much
noise. Thanks to their strong legs, Hazard cats can reach speeds up to
fifty miles per hour and leap near ten feet up.

Alexei was stalking through the forest, attempting to clean up the path he always seemed to leave, when he felt it. The beginning ripples of the change, like small waves lapping gently at a beach. He ignored it; sometimes it would go away. But he could feel it getting stronger, the waves capped with white now, crashing violently against the shore of his consciousness. It was inevitable this time, and so Alexei accepted it at last, and let the waves drown him. He felt his muscles and bones bulge and twist into shapes that they were not meant to, felt his tail lengthen, crackling intensely and painfully. His hair grew at immeasurable speeds into a ratty mane, and he heard the familiar hiss of his new tail, the scales flicking against the rest of his body. He pressed his newly sharpened claws into the earth as reptilian wings erupted from his shoulder blades and an angry-sounding bleat issued from the new head sprouting from his back, accompanied by the screeching roar of a bright red dragon head. Alexei looked up and saw the three heads looking back at him, the slits of the red-scaled snake's pupils, the rectangular goat's pupils staring at him menacingly, and the eerily blank eyes of the fire-red dragon seeming to stare him down. Alexei flapped his wings dejectedly. "I guess it's time to go," he muttered in a deep rumble. The goat whinnied eagerly in response. Alexei lifted his lion-esque head sadly to the sky and felt the pangs of hunger that always accompanied his transition. Silently, he lifted off flying swiftly into the night. The dragon shot a bolt of flame at the forest below, and then everything was dark.
