Relationship to other kalon -- Reese remembered when he first met Tobias clearer than what he had for breakfast.
He could go into detail about the weather, what he had for lunch, the location of every
single movie he had brought along that day, but for time's sake, we'll skip to the important parts.
Reese laid down on the couch, staring blankly at the ceiling. He thought he could get a head start on
unpacking early, but he had arrived too early. He had frantically unpacked and organized everything he owned,
only to find out that he had a few minutes before his roommate would arrive.
Reese gave the room one last glance before going back to staring at the ceiling. His books and instrument were
stacked neatly in his corner by the beds, and the loosely scattered storage containers stopped abruptly at halfway.
His list of "roommate rules" was on the coffee table in easy reach. Satisfied with the arrangement, Reese set his head down
on the couch just as the lock clicked on the door.
Reese's head snapped up and he snatched the roommate rules, ready to give the well prepared speech on how under no circumstances must their clothes be left on his half of the room.
Then Toby walked in, and something inside Reese melted a little. It wasn't that he felt shy or nervous, because Reese didn't care too much about how his roommate felt about him. It was the nervous smile and the clumsy, awkward greetings that got him.
This... Tobias guy was anxious, and Reese couldn't bear to be rude and condescending towards him. After all, they had just met.
Now, Reese can't imagine a world without Toby. Each day he looks forward to seeing his roommate's face light up, and not a single day passes without Reese showing his appreciation in some form. While they both have their quirks and arguments, the two are nearly inseparable. Anyone who sees the pair without knowing them might think they're just buddies, but their friends know for a fact that the two have something more.
