☁ Art and/or writing of fear and why:
A single shadow seemed to sweep about the forest, edging sometimes towards the back yards of humans. It crouched and crawled forward, finally reaching an ominous and dark manor compared to those lit up in the night. Kyran hopped over the fence with ease and kept low to the earth. Sniffing the ground, he sensed some kind of mutt, probably asleep. I'll have to be careful, for all I know it could alert them of my presence. He scanned along the fence of the back porch, looking for an opening to squeeze through. Aha! This would do. Biting and scratching the loose boards, Kyran quickly broke a few off, careful not to get pierced by nails. It was extremely dark in there, so he took his time to feel around for anything that might stick up and harm him. Edging toward the house, he smelled something along the lines of a dead rodent. Ugh, do they ever clean that up? Always with the dead animals stinking up underneath. Kyran passed by and bumped his head on what he thought was the floor boards. Alright, quickly get in and out. I can do this. He reassured himself as he was prying off the boards, attempting not to make as much noise as when he did the fencing. Soon enough, he had enough space to slide past and he climbed up, using his tail to push off of the earth. This place ought to have something good in it, Kyran thought as he searched blindly in the dark. The humans seemed to put their shiny stuff in a box every time, but it was no match for a Goblin Gator. Tapping around with his paw and tail, he stepped on what seemed to be a snake. Hmm? Why would they have this in their home? He bit down hard on the odd textured skin, hoping to snap it before it got him. An unknown feeling got onto him, and he assumed it bit him. Growling, Kyran tugged at it harder, bending it a certain way and shredding it. He snapped down one more time and was met with stringy wires and a terrible shock that knocked him unconscious and made his hair stand on end. The last thing he saw was blue flame.
His eyes squinted open and he was panting hard. Lightning? Blue flame? The walls were gray and there was tons of light here. Kyran got up quickly, not knowing where he was. He panicked as he noticed that there were bars enclosing him. Peering out of the corner of the cage, he saw other Goblin Gators, mainly those that had weird white coverings on their limbs. A puny human came down the isle and started filling the cages with pellets. When it was Kyran's turn, the creature went away. He flicked his tongue out and smirked until the human came back with others. Is this my punishment? And what even happened? His head hurt and he backed away from the bars, his fur up against his back. What he didn't know was that the back wall opened up onto another cage which was not as spacey and had bars on all sides. When he backed into it, it closed and was pulled back into a dark closed space. Anxiously, he glanced around, trying to see if anything stood out to him. Kyran wasn't sure what was happening, but the floor started to move. It only happened for a short amount of time and he heard mumbling and chattering. Suddenly, the second door opened and he peered out into the open, which seemed to be a forest, different from where he started. In a few seconds, the cage door released and he bolted out and taunted the massive vehicle he came out of, but it zoomed away somewhere else. Well great, where am I now? The trees towered above him, not like the ones where he resided. I have so many questions I need answered, but did I get shocked? But I was inside? Shivers rippled on his back as he thought about the feeling of being shocked. All he knew was, he wouldn't be dancing in the rain anytime soon.
