Kalons-- a species with soft manes and even softer hearts.

Monitored in forests across the globe for years, these animals
have recently been declared naturally tame as well as sapient.
Scientists are asking the general population to consider adopting
Kalons for further study in their capabilities of intelligence.

Their shining tails are used for identification and showing off,
which is helpful when spotting another Kalon from afar. This
association with other Kalons is why they are head-over-heels
for any shiny or colorful item that they come across!

Since we're heading into no-edit-November I decided to make one last more edited kalon c:

This is going to be a longer term comp, but still a shorter comp content wise, like I usually make.

She constantly changes per kalon she's around. It started when she was younger, and wasn't sure what kind of kalon she wanted to be. She could never settle on being a tough, feminine, or a freak. So she would hang around whoever would talk to her, and quickly mold herself into the perfect member of her new group. As she made more friends, she adjusted herself to each individual kalon. When around kalons like Jace, she would act nosey and rude. When around kalons like Rylen, she was more calm and subdued. And around Jake, she was always more joking and positive. It became a real problem as she couldn't figure out who she liked to be best.
She finds herself giving into peer pressure easily, and hiding her interests in drama and theater as it wasn't anything her friends liked. She unknowingly tenses herself in social situations, unwilling to calm down and just be how she is. Marie doesn't seem to understand that she doesn't have to fit in a particular category, and can make a space for herself and what she loves among her friends. That deep inside she is just a peppy girl who wants to be liked and included.
Her way of changing her personality does help later with her career as an actor.

She gets really uncomfortable with herself and her appearance often

For a long time she would try to be a part of conversations and try to be more like the popular kids, attempt ing to follow trends, etc but now, ever since she's started her YouTube channel and tumblr, which had so much positive feedback from it, she's thrown these attempts to the wind. Her success showed her that people liked her more as herself than the mask she used to hide it.

Prompt: simply enough, she lies. koraline has pretty much created a completely different person on the outside than who she really is. she lies to make herself seem more special. she lies so people will like her more. koraline's just a liar in all.

"it's just a white lie, it won't do any harm." she thinks to herself. and, that is true, for now.

koraline feels the need to live up to all of the standards of society, and she regularly tries to change herself so she will atleast touch tips with those standards.

she is very very insecure of herself, more importantly her body image and feels very uncomfortable showing too much skin. she hates diving outside of her comfort zone and does not adapt well to changes of any sort.

but, in all, koraline simply wants to be liked. she will create silly lies so she will seem more unique and people would want to be around her more.

it is indeed very silly and unnecessary, her friends can see straight through her white lies, as if they were clear glass. and it is funny really, she thinks she is fooling everyone.

but she is not. what is so amazing is that her friends still love her and care for her. all of those lies, all of those fibs, they simply forget them. koraline's friends want to help her in every way they can, and somehow she is simply not seeing this.
