Hazard Cats are long legged felines with quite a few robotic qualities.
Their tails are about the length of their body, split into two pieces,
and connected by some form of energy. The glass screens on their
chest are most commonly known to show a heartbeat, but many other
glowing images can appear there. These images mirror the cat’s
health in one way or another. Some cats have static on their screens,
but beware, those cats are as dangerous as they are rare! The picture
on the screen will always match the color of the cat’s eyes, which
typically have hollowed pupils. Hazards have three eyes, but the center
one is almost always covered with a band-aid or something similar.
This is because of the often dangerous powers that are channeled
through the third eye. Grates on the cats’ sides aid in breathing and
can also emit a steam, sound and mist, as well as a strange goo.
Their large ears allow them to hear potential prey miles away and make
them skilled trackers, but they are easily overwhelmed by too much
noise. Thanks to their strong legs, Hazard cats can reach speeds up to
fifty miles per hour and leap near ten feet up.

A roar echoed through the night and a huge shadow passed overhead as a young woman clad in dark armour raced through the forest. Adrenaline rushes through her veins as she runs, it was hunting her and she knew it. A fierce grin was plastered across her face despite the numerous scrapes and cuts that marred her tanned skin, it wasn't often that she got this kind of rush often not with all of her charges. She skidded to a halt as the creature landed in clearing.
It was at least 5 stories tall if not taller with legs mostly made of constantly crackling energy, all three eyes were focused on their target, one red, one blue and the last a perfect blend of red and blue burned with uncensored glee and a lust for battle, a pair of magnificent leathery grey wings had folded themselves against a thick scaled hide of a similar color, spines of interchanging black and white ran down to the tail which was merely segments of spine held together by blue blurring to red energy, a deep grey ruff surrounded the head and chest, while two dark grey almost black plates took the place of shoulders.
In short? The dragon was glorious and by far the most thrilling creature the elven assassin had ever seen.
Well, the locals hadn't been wrong or crazy when they ran around like headless chickens screaming about a dragon. Though this wasn't quite what she'd expected when she'd heard the word dragon. Oh sure it had the wings and it damn well looked like it could breathe fire judging by the glow coming from the holes in the creatures cheeks. There was something about those eyes though, the word snapped into her mind like it been fired from a gun. Intelligence, this was no simple monster of legend that flew around burning villages to the ground and eating livestock. This was so much more.
"I assume you can speak" Isabela spoke, refusing taking her eyes off of the dragon even as she leaned her back against a tree. A harsh laugh escaped the dragon.
"You assume much, child of the forest" the voice was feminine but not overly so with just the slightest reverb to it.
"Naturally so. Now, why are you here?" Straight and to the point, there was no point in messing the dragon around.
"I needed a quiet place for the night, had I know there were annoyingly noisy locals, I would have picked somewhere else" her blunt reply accompanied by a shrug of her wings. That was a fair point, it was also the reason her home was so far out from the small town.
"Very well, what will you do now?" Isabela asked.
"I suppose I shall attempt to find somewhere else, before the dawn hits it would not do to transform back somewhere with too many humans nearby" the dragon mused half to herself and half to Isabela.
"Transform back? Are you not actually a dragon?" The wood elf asked with a bemused expression.
"Well I suppose I could let you in on my little secret, as long as you swear to keep it" the dragon hummed her head tilting to one side as she spoke. "Upon the moment of the full moon reaching the peak of its journey across the sky, my body changes from that of a hazard cat to the form you see before your very eyes. The change bringing agonizing pain of course" she continued speaking as if the matter was so dreadfully simple.
"Hazard cat? I have some Hazard cat companions myself, I do believe at least one or two would be very interested in meeting you" Isabela replied with a smirk
