What are you doing in my swamp?: [500 word limit]
"What are you doing in my swamp?" The words came out of her mouth quickly but almost, in a sense, mechanically. The average creature would have probably turned their backs and ran from Sage's furious gaze but those who frequented her establishment weren't so easily spooked. "Really, Sage?" Her neighbor and occasional stroll-around-the-woods buddy Nelson was giving her a mocking grin. "Couldn't you hire a robot or an assistant to do this?" He nudged his paw in the direction of the closed door of the building that was behind Sage's shoulders. Only the regulars could describe this shack a "building." From the outside it looked as though someone had taken branches of trees and decided to hook them together with duct tape. However out of place it looked, the small entrance in the middle of the swamp was a gate way to a Sage-owned nightclub. Frequented my many-a-creatures, it was a place where Sage decorated the walls with her works of art (although some characterize it as impressionism with the use of sticks and mud on canvases) and lurked in the corners while her guests dance through the night.
When creatures, like Nelson for instance, looked at Sage they saw a emotional and private Kalon. That she was. The only way she could really express herself was through her art and although inviting people into her home may seem as an “invasion of privacy” Sage saw it as a means for inspiration. Shy as she is, if guests approached and/or talked to her she would politely nod her head and smile. It normally took many attempts to get to know her.
“Are you going to let me in or not?” Nelson asked as Sage held the door closed behind her, miles away in thought. “Sorry, sorry..” She smiled and gestured for Nelson to enter. He gave her a brief, friendly hug that surprised Sage’s quite demeanor. “Have fun…”She all but whispered as Nelson walked inside. Perhaps the idea of a animatronics greeter was a good idea. But Sage preferred to welcome her guests, herself.
