The beat of my heart was vicious and loud, I knew the creature could hear it. It rang clear in my own ears and caused an ache in my chest, which I clutch in attempt to stop my heart from pounding clear out of my chest. It was dusk, so the figure which now creep it's way into my vision had been little more than a shadow. A shadow which now loom clear over my head. A beast, far taller than a man could be, clear and well over eight feet! It move quietly, or perhaps I couldn't hear it due to the constant thud of my heart ringing in my ears. I was cold with fear, such a dreadful feeling, my body seemed almost frozen. I watched, unblinking, as the creature drew forth from the surrounding trees, that shadow slowly taking form, gaining small bits of color and shape. Had I thought it frightening as a shadow, I knew not of the fear I felt as this creature took shape. My breath, which had been very slow and stuttered, caught. Perhaps if I stayed completely still this creature would overlook me? Perhaps if I held my breath, it would pass me by? No, that was not the case, those glossy orange eyes were dead locked on my own eyes, piercing right through to my very core. My entire body quiver, and had it not been for the tree behind me, I would have collapsed. Leaning back into the tree, using it to keep me standing, I tilt my head up and back as the creature steadily approach. I was going to die, this was it, these were my last moments here on earth. I close my eyes, tears that had risen in them spilling over my cheeks. I gave a silent word to whatever God there might be listening. Take care of my family, please, I love them so much...
The beast was over me, it's hot, stinking breath flowing down against me. What was it waiting for? I didn't know, I didn't understand. Opening my eyes, they found the head of the beast lowered, it's own eyes right before mine. I let out a cry of fright, my legs no longer able to keep me upright. I slid down the tree, feeling my shirt slide up and bark dig into my flesh. A hiss from the creature above, causing me to recoil a moment before I realize the hiss stuttered, much like a laugh. 'Sss Sss Sss!' The sound from the beast above me seemed to shake the creature, it's head thrusting back as it made the sound. Confusion set it as I watch, the beast lowering it's head once more, needing to step backwards so that it's body could lower. Yet again eyes became even with mine. What was it doing!? Frustration and anger began to mix with fear. 'Go away!' I shout, my voice cracking and wobbling. I thrust my leg out, attempting to kick at the creature, though I fell short, no where near making contact with the beast. Again the creature hiss it's laughter, clearly finding me amusing. Before I could react again the creature had move, causing me to recoil once more, my hands thrusting up to my head and body curling up. This was it! I was going to die!
The creature roughly place one of it's shorter paws against the back of my head, very roughly 'Patting' my head, causing my entire body to shift and topple over face first in the dirt. The paw was withdrawn the moment I fell, and for the third time the hissing laughter sound off. My quivering body stay curled where it was, even as I heard the creature turn, the soft shuffle of foliage around its feet heard as it move away from me. It was leaving? It was leaving!? This had to be a game...The moment I stood up it would give chase...It would hunt me down and kill me! This thing was messing with me!
Well, if I had a chance, I was going to take it. Once I could no longer hear the creature moving I rose, not even taking the time to look where I was going, I just ran. I ran faster than I ever had in my life. Perhaps it was my imagination, but I swore I could hear that hissing laughter as I ran, sometimes on my left, sometimes on my right, sometimes right behind me. I never came face to face with the creature, thankfully, and I did not stop running until I was out of the forest and at my car. I cried the whole way home, and as much as I loved hiking and nature, I will never, ever go into a forest alone, especially not that forest....

ᴘᴇʀsᴏɴᴀʟɪᴛʏ: More often than not, she is a neutral creature. However, should someone seek out her services, she will be eerily compassionate, to the point of petting, caressing, nuzzling, and even gifting of edible treats like candies and chocolates. To her 'Prey' or 'Targets' she will be quite cruel, teasing and playing with them, usually 'gifting' them with false hope before utterly crushing them between her paws. She is always rough, though, there always being 'just a little too much' force behind her touch. Whether done knowingly or not, it is not known. To some she could be considered good, to some she could be considered evil. She considers herself neither. She never helps for free, there will always be some form of payment to seek out a target, so she does not feel she is doing favors for anyone, as it is just a job. She favors the darker side of things, when one gets down to it. Strange things can please her, such as death, or torture devices, or even just a simple bone collection. She is not insane, by any means, though some, again, tend to think that she is. She is simply a dark creature which enjoys darker things. She seems to enjoy her job, especially when it comes to hurting others. She is exceptionally good at this, and quite creative in her methods of doing so, as well.


ᴡʜᴀᴛ ɪs "ᴛʜᴇ ᴅᴇᴠᴏᴜʀᴇʀ"?: She is and has always been known as 'The Devourer'. But she also goes by titles such as 'Wishmaster' or 'Enchantress' or 'The Nobody'. Most titles are whispered among the surrounding villages with fear, though this does not stop people from coming to see her. She 'devours' naughty children (though this is just a tale. She rarely ever deals with children, as she deems them 'innocent') It is adults that she truly deals with. Should someone feel they have been wronged, or have been abused in any way, they can visit 'The Devourer'. This is never done without risk, though, as if the devourer feels that someone is being childish or petty, they may be the one to be devoured. Should a contract be made, though, payment will always be something extreme. Typically it is a sacrifice of some sort. Whether the sacrifice be ones sight, speech, an ability, talent, or skill, or something physical that they had brought with them or have elsewhere. Payment must be made in order for the contract to be sealed. Once the contract is sealed, the Devourer will seek out and deal appropriate punishment to the one whom had wronged the one she had entered the contract with. Typically she will deal out equal suffering to her prey or target, as is part of the contract. After a contract is complete and both parties had paid their part, it is typically never spoken of again.

Should one choose to seek her out for a wish, a similar contract is formed, though there are times when a 'pending' contract will be formed. If someone wishes for a skill, or for sight, or for love...These wishes can only be granted if she has the item being wished for in her 'stores'. This is what makes the contracts so important, as she can grant sight to someone wishing for it if she had taken it from another during a previous contract. Wishes are easier when they are physical, though, or something simple, such as sight, speech, or a simple talent such as singing or painting. These gifts are easily taken through contracts.

And so Omalga cast The Devourer from it's home and unto the earth, where the beast soon made it's domain.
The Devourer saw all the wicked of the world and it was glad, for it was here that evil flourish.
The hearts and soul of the weak, The Devourer will consume, offering words of solace and tempting those viscet who are weak.
To form a contract with The Devourer is to have Omalga turn from you, never again to gain the Great God's favor.
To form a contract with the Devourer is to deny one the pleasures of everlasting life, the soul, instead, cast into the torment of eternal servitude to the beast, The Devourer.

And it made shapes, and the fire looked like it was being controlled by something, and it was destroying some things things as well, and then I hared someone yell this: DIE YOU VILE BUGS, DIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'LL TEACH YOU MOSQUITOES TO KILL HUMANS AND ANIMALS ALIKE WITH YOUR DEADLY DISEASES!!!!!! And I was like: Finally those creatures are gonna get what they deserve! I should try to say hi once they're done!... Then I heard this: That's the last of you for now, pretty soon these deadly creatures will be extinct! AND THEN MY MISSION WILL BE A SUCCESS!!!!!!!!!!!
